I never liked the look of ink on cardstock with the embossing folders, BUT, choosing colored cardstock makes a HUGE difference! Wow! Another new idea and definitely a keeper.😍
Fantastic tips Connie! I punch a hole in the corner and put all my samples on a key ring. This way I can flip through and decide what folder and what side I want to use, it's a huge time saver for me.
Hi Connie, Another great technique. What a different look inking both sides of the embossing folder makes. I never would have thought to do that. I keep wondering where you come up with all of your tips, tricks and techniques. Please don't stop. You have helped bring my card making to a whole new level. Thank you for sharing with all of use. You are truly a blessing to all of us. I'm so looking forward to the creative retreat in April. I can't wait to see what ideas all of you ladies have come up with for all of us.
I've only ever use embossing folders on there own, But after seeing what you did I'm going to give it a try. Thank you Connie for your amazing inspiration 🥰
Ingenious! I've made samples of the embossing folders and put them in a binder but I never thought to ink up both sides to see what that would do. Thanks for the inspiration to experiment. Terrific!!!
Finally! Someone (my favorite SU demonstrator!) tells us to do what I've been doing for ages! Don't believe I have ever seen anyone do this and have always wondered why not!
Cute cards and love the idea of inking both sides. I've been meaning to get some gloves for awhile now so you have motivated me to do it. Very helpful video Connie!
I love this tip of inking both sides of the folder! Many times I've inked one side and realized I inked the 'wrong' side. This eliminates that problem!! Great tip and great cards! Thank you!
OMG...I did this technique years ago when I first started and wasn't thrilled, but I'm going to try this again on my 3D folders. You've reinspired me Connie. All are beautiful!! Thanks for sharing!! 😍❤️
Wow Connie -- wow, wow wow! I loved this video and I truly appreciate your enthusiasm. Even my hubby who is not into crafts said, this lady sure knows her stuff. I have a plethora of embossing folders and plenty of scrap card stock so I can hardly wait to see what I can do. Thanks so much for the inspiration. 😊🇨🇦
This would be a great technique for “swatching” your embossing folders, then putting them into a binder or on a ring to better visualize the pattern on each side.
Connie, thank you for doing this video. I loved the Easter card embossing and the Fern!!! I have issues when doing this technique. I think I use too much ink. I assume you were pressing the ink pads lightly?
Really like the sample using the pretty flowers embossing folder and the flirty flamingo ink--curious about the dates on your stamp pads, is that date purchased or date opened?

They turned out beautifully. It definitely pays to ink both sides. You can also use a brayer to ink embossing folders, a wide one doesn't leave lines.

Really like the sample using the pretty flowers embossing folder and the flirty flamingo ink--curious about the dates on your stamp pads, is that date purchased or date opened?
LOL, I didn't realize anyone had even noticed. I try to use older ones first. It is when I purchased them.
