The issue with 13 & 14 Gen weren’t only the microcode, but oxidation in some of the chips. Buying it you are taking a gamble whether your cpu will be effected in the future.
The main issue was the buggy microcode. But and problems with oxidation been fixed in the newer releases. Also, we got an extended warranty. Intel messed up, but let's not overreact. At one time, the 7950X3D also had massive burning problem (it already fixed now) 14900k also been fixed, and has extended warranty.
@raphsaio5300 how can you fix oxidation? That’s not something that can be fixed with an update. That’s surface level of the chip and nothing can fix that.
@JohnDavidSullivan Unfortunately not in my case, but yes it's more than enough for video editing, average content creation, light 3d, music, ect ect. I wish I didn't need to shell out 2k lol trust me.
I built a PC using the Z790 board based on one of your earlier creator builds. It’s been a lovely machine. Works a treat! It’s a bummer others have had problems with later boards.
Great intro and very informational - Also good to see a review that differs and always a good reason to watch plenty of reviews from reliable sources before purchasing new parts! Great job 👏 👍
I usually install the CPU + contact frame, cooling bracket memory and storage and test mount the cooling solution for clearance issues around the VRMs and then plug in a PSU to test boot before I install the motherboard in any case. Just eliminates a lot of initial potential headaches.
I take peoples opinion with a grain of salt. I usually am the type to take risks. I'm sure that case or build is great. I've had people negatively comment about my build how I have 3d printed fan shrouds for example. They complain that I'm not getting enough cooling because of them. Its awesome that there are youtubers out there who are unbiased. thanks for this video
I’m gonna build a ProArt setup (AIO cooler, case and motherboard) with the 14900 and a RTX 4090 or 5090 I don’t know witch to go with… I am a content creator with a very small PC right, so I’m looking forward to the upgrade. Everything I know to day I learn from you, so thanks for all the things you are doing to the community.
I perceive that this build needs many add-on pieces and complement accesories due lack of design harmonization and compatibility related to hardware shapes...a "few" extra bucks for a high end device.
Ok, is that a pen for paper in the magnet holder or is it like a pen for a tablet? If it’s for a tablet I must have one. Mine is always rolling around anywhere but in the lame nib holder/pen holder I guess they 1/2 ass try to claim.
Lovely looking case, but how much time did you waste setting up all the displays? How distracting is it when you have to focus on your work? Yes, you can turn them off, but then its potential would be wasted. My point: This is not a good Creator workstation, but may be a good gamers showcase.
Can i know the price breakdown of this build!! because im going to build the same PC in few days, thank you, i watch all your videos , great content, at least people like think about us creators!!!
helo my friend because i want to buy this panorama cooler.. for my 9800x3d.., what temperatures you had with the 14900K?>?> did you overlocked the 14900k?
Is it really M.2 Gen 4 x4, 4 drives though? Once you populate those PCIE slots things change, meaning the GPU also needs at least 8x PCIE lanes. You should address that. And doesn't TB4 ports take PCIE slots? For a true "creator's" setup there needs to be more PCE lanes than 20 or 24, don't you think?
THANK YOU!!...for building this in 14th gen and ignoring the over-the-top, prevailing anti-Intel propaganda push. I have built almost this exact PC except with the 14700K and it is an amazing performer. Make sure your BIOS/microcode is updated, folks...you'll be just fine.
Intel is #1 anti-intel propaganda pushers. Intel is in crisis rn no doubts about it. Hopefully they can recover and come back strong. We need competition.
Propaganda as in... there's real issues, paying customers got to deal with them which mean lost time with difficult RMAs? Because for example Asus and Intel being scummy with RMAs didn't come out of thin air. The most important thing is to be as well informed as possible. It's okay to buy an asus board if you know if you have problems you might have a bad time. It's okay to buy a new (important) bendy 14th gen Intel if you have the bios updated. It's also okay to buy that case if you acknowledge not just GN but also kitgurutech had severe QC issues with the case. All that is real, not propaganda. Tame your expectations, do your homework, get what makes you happy, but don't lie to yourself and pretend it's all a conspiracy
@@Ktmzqw YES, exactly THAT propaganda that was ignored. Now take a seat, take a deep breath, relax, reflect and contemplate how you can better use your time and become a better person overall.
Intel fans have this weird coping reaction where they believe the entire world is just slandering Intel because it got together in a conspiracy. There is no propaganda. They have inferior hardware at the moment. That might change in the future, but it's only a big deal if you make it one.

Sorry I'm not good enough to answer your question, but I have one for you; as I saw this in another build as well and still have not understood the why. It's about your SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2TB = from what I understood , in the video. this will be your boot drive. Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus 2tb = 134$ = PCIE x 4 NVMe M.2, Special Feature PCIe 4.0 PLUS Sabrent Rocket 4P 2tb = 199$ = NVMe Special Feature Backward Compatible, Portable But why don't you use the same for your M.2 slots? Why a 4 Plus and a 4P? Looking at their specs I don't really understand the difference, I suspect it has to do with the PCIE lanes Thanks for the education.
@@superslyai3675 it's just the read write speed differences. the Samsung was purchased first, the 2 from Sabrent were from another system that's all. I find Sabrent drive more affordable but just as stable. also Samsung builds theirs using their own chips. so I used it for my boot drive.
Intel still has an edge over AMD in creator applications. However, it's understable why many have lost trust in them after the handling of the instability issues.
