He basically added artificial intelligence to the scoring system to make it more fair 😆 he said no more ISU unfair scoring!
Actually it's not a master thesis. It's unusual for Waseda University to publish an undergraduate thesis in its journal, so it must be an exceptional one. I hope ISU sponsored him and Waseda gave him scholarship to continue his research that will benefit the sport further. He should've been given credit also since I believe many skaters and coaches have benefited from his previous research.
its incredible how he can actually recalculate and layout the jumps when he knew he may not be able to do the original layout and still win gold. as a basketball player myself, i usually sit myself out the moment i get an injury but man hes insane love ur videos by the way
my sister is a profesional ballet dancer, and she explained to me that, in order to make your dance look good and not awkward, you have to think every move you do 10.000 times. I think that's what he did in the first clip. big brain. ps: sorry for my english :(

one thing i love to see is the other coaches' reactions to this hardworking talent, and how he sorts things out with his genius brain on his own with the advice of his coaches rather than simply following their instructions
The way he is involved in every aspect of his programs just shows how dedicated he is as an athlete and as a performer. He is a precious gem to the figure skating world.

It's breathtaking to know that the sound of his own breath starts that amazing music. 😂 I would expect though the ability to adapt to unexpected events during skating from a skater, so the recalculation and also improvisation is probably not unique among them. Maybe he's on a genius level, but this ability shouldn't be unique. He has a very high level of control over his body and he is a master of his profession. No questioning that. He's a king. 👑
seeing him fall like that made my heart hurt :( the way he stayed down for a moment you can tell it really did hurt. i hope he wouldnt push his body like that but he has the kind of indomitable spirit that only thrives even more in the face of adversity, so he'll only continue to try bigger and more dangerous things. stay safe yunzuru, rooting for you even though im worried hahaha. looking forward to celebrating a clean 4A with you soon!!
His endurance is unbelievable. I remember seeing in one vid Ghislain told him to go on practice and said he would beat him if he injured his ankle again while tapping the blade holder(?) on his head. Yuzu laughed 😅 because he did injured himself sooo often it became like a bad habit 🥴
First case: I was in audience that day… it was scary. I still have video of that injury that I can’t delete and definitely can’t watch. Later that day when he compete I was dying every time he jumped.

In between he choreographs (on the piano music) himself playfully, and taking a moment 'hollyday in the music,' to refresh himself. And after so, immediately jumps again that perfect combo. I like 'Yuzu in hollyday' very much: you see that creative force breathing with the Pleasure Of Nature! I hope you create a video, about such and those moments, as well. Arigato and kind regards.
