So true, I have always liked figure skating but never really watched it. Fact is that so many performances weren’t musical at all. About One year ago I saw Yuzuru’s performance and think that, that is what I mean by figure skating. I don’t really care that much for figure skating jumps, for me figure skating is Art: musicality and beauty on Ice. Only Yuzuru can reach those standards and reach even higher. I always support him and appreciate that he gives us so much joy and beauty with his figure skating.

Honestly, I got to know YUZURU this month and I really regret it, I don't know how to describe it, but he is beyond creativity, his skating and the flexibility of his body made me fall in love with him and he became my skating role model. YUZURU is completely different, he has a special charisma and a spontaneous personality that made me melt, since I was seven years old, I loved skating a lot (but not on ice) and I dreamed of owning a private rink in it, but my dream did not last long for special reasons, but my passion for skating is still As is, I am grateful to YUZURU for encouraging me to skate again, I hope he stays healthy and back soon 🤍

To add: 8:25 is Zhang Jike, he’s one of the most popular athletes (actually THE most popular athlete for several years) in China. He’s a table tennis player & has won an Olympic gold and an Olympic silver. He was saying in the video that he watched a video of Yuzu being injured, bleeding, but still chose to compete fiercely and he was incredibly touched (he was referring to the 2014 COC incident).
I am delighted to see so many people supporting him. I was somehow worried that people / media might not think he is a legend anymore as he didn't medal in olympics. Glad there are still many people who appreciate his challenger mentality, personality, highly technical yet artistic programs!
He is already the legend, the greatest of all times. The first Asian skater to win Olympics gold in men's single, and two times Olympics gold medals too. His echivements are enormous in the history of Figure Skating. His name is already written in history forever. I wanna add: He is the legend, not only because of his medals count. I think, he is the greatest because of his memorable programs. Those are part of his story and his legacy.
I predict his competition skating career is just the beginning of his totally epic life and maybe not even the most amazing part (just imagine that for a minute!). He has a DESTINY. A life journey that will be remembered and revered for many accomplishments. I have a very strong feeling about this.
These last four short years since Pyeongchang have been absolutely ridiculous. The bias and corruption in the judging just became increasingly obvious and many skaters suffered because of it. None more so than Yuzu. Being robbed left and right of medals, titles, prize money and mental health. It all culminated in the Beijing games weeks ago where, had the judging been fair, and Yuzu not underscored at every turn and his 'rivals' grossly overscored, Yuzu should have podiumed. And probably should have won his third olympic gold. He's famous for being a complete skater and picking up points throughout his program. And he's only improved and gotten better but they're stagnating his scores. It seems though, that people are alive to this fact and these 'new' medalists aren't getting the attention that was expected. People generally seem to not care at all tbh. Medals can be faked, but respect and love need to be earned.
Yuzuru is a special being that is why he manages to captivate all the people in the world, he is worthy of admiration. He is like the perfect example of what we all want to achieve and it is very nice to see how other skaters respect and admire him so much. Is the GOAT.

You are so awesome MaxRo! As an ELF Super Junior says just like the group the fandom has to be in their behaviour. I do not consider myself a fan but a person that is deeply touched by Hanyu Yuzuru San' skating and I have a deep admiration for his unbreakable resilience and kind warmheartedness he is the epitome of the words elegance, manners and cultured person. I think like him you focus in the positive side of everything and everyone around him, I think that is great and just like him .Whom never complains , but iinstead is his own harshest judge looking to attain a goal we still cannot even imagine.

Super Junior is 15 members🤣 I have traveled to see them in NYC and Seoul. With Hanyu San I do not know if it is because of my years of ballet and modern dance, or because I grew up in a household of sports my father was a boxer that competed in games for our country or because I was sick for a long time after his death to the point doctors gave up on me. So Hanyu encompasses things that I admire the most. He is an athlete like my father that lives an breathe for skating. He was able to pursue his dream like I was not and to me he is art on Ice , beyond a principal dancer, if this was ballet. His musicality ,his detail, his artistic interpretation is like something that could not be possible to see on this earth. He has known injuries and ocercome beyond. I admire that immensely as I know from experience the strong will you need to not complain and push forward. Above all he is so self aware of whom he is , what he wants and how to get it. He focuses on him but also shares his knowledge. As a very young , I saw boitano ,lipinski etc and fell for FS. I was raised in a tropical Island so to me it was like seeing ballet on Ice. When all that ugly assault thing hapenned I stopped watching FS as fervently. But once I saw Hanyu skate in 2016. WOW how can I describe it. Hhhmmm. I have a very distant Korean heritage, so the first time I went to Seoul it was like arriving Home and eating real homemade korean food like I was in heaven. When I returned home every food I ate even my mom's was tasteless. It may sound harsh, but after seeing Hanyu everything else to me is tasteless. Long but wanted to go in depth. I would like to see him live one day. For examples both ny ex-sensei's live in Kobe and Nagoya respectively so I could aim for FAOI, but no. He is in athlete not an idol for me that is the only fandom there is😎

I do understand the immersing yourself into a fandom thing because it's the same for us and so I see your point. You are so awesome MaxRo! As an ELF Super Junior says just like the group the fandom has to be in their behaviour. I do not consider myself a fan but a person that is deeply touched by Hanyu Yuzuru San' skating and I have a deep admiration for his unbreakable resilience and kind warmheartedness he is the epitome of the words elegance, manners and cultured person. I think like him you focus in the positive side of everything and everyone around him, I think that is great and just like him .Whom never complains , but iinstead is his own harshest judge looking to attain a goal we still cannot even imagine.

@@moonshadow--1207 since i am already an ELF i know what it is to be a fan. There is also fan and fanatism. I really do not have space for more. Super Junior is 15 members🤣 I have traveled to see them in NYC and Seoul. With Hanyu San I do not know if it is because of my years of ballet and modern dance, or because I grew up in a household of sports my father was a boxer that competed in games for our country or because I was sick for a long time after his death to the point doctors gave up on me. So Hanyu encompasses things that I admire the most. He is an athlete like my father that lives an breathe for skating. He was able to pursue his dream like I was not and to me he is art on Ice , beyond a principal dancer, if this was ballet. His musicality ,his detail, his artistic interpretation is like something that could not be possible to see on this earth. He has known injuries and ocercome beyond. I admire that immensely as I know from experience the strong will you need to not complain and push forward. Above all he is so self aware of whom he is , what he wants and how to get it. He focuses on him but also shares his knowledge. As a very young , I saw boitano ,lipinski etc and fell for FS. I was raised in a tropical Island so to me it was like seeing ballet on Ice. When all that ugly assault thing hapenned I stopped watching FS as fervently. But once I saw Hanyu skate in 2016. WOW how can I describe it. Hhhmmm. I have a very distant Korean heritage, so the first time I went to Seoul it was like arriving Home and eating real homemade korean food like I was in heaven. When I returned home every food I ate even my mom's was tasteless. It may sound harsh, but after seeing Hanyu everything else to me is tasteless. Long but wanted to go in depth. I would like to see him live one day. For examples both ny ex-sensei's live in Kobe and Nagoya respectively so I could aim for FAOI, but no. He is in athlete not an idol for me that is the only fandom there is😎

I have to admit that I had to research the ELF thing. I'm older and American and kpop is not a thing for me. I do understand the immersing yourself into a fandom thing because it's the same for us and so I see your point. There are some people I admire and have an interest in but it doesn't reach that full fan level when there really is a devoted connection to someone else. It was very nice of you to comment so positively and genuinely about our Yuzu.

I know it is not a competition but I doubt you are older than me🤣also I had discovered him in 2016 did not know a fandom existed until beijing . I have made many friends fanyus in twitter and they do not accept my claim and say I am Fanyu🤣. It is so nice to meet such a nice person. Almost read your user name as moon night. My favorite band was (and still is) Aerosmith. Even with all his "troubles" I was always Steven's girl. I've seen them in concert 9 times over the years. But he never could touch my heart the way Yuzu has. It's a completely different kind of love.
