    Honestly, this is a masterclass of a LEGO build. Zero stickers and a great built experience for the price.

    Honestly a fantastic set. It is absolutely insane that this has more than 200 pieces than the Justifier, but is $70 cheaper!

      Well, piece count doesn’t always mean the set is bigger or has a better value, but in this case, I think it does. This set is just a way better value in most every way

    • @BuiltbytheBrick
      @BuiltbytheBrick 2 года назад +23

      @@Jay-Zech I agree with you, but it is ridiculous when you have two sets like this of similar size, but with a difference of $70. It really leaves you baffled at such a difference, even if LSW is a licensed theme

      The minifigs in the Justifier are way more expensive for LEGO to make than the figs in this set. But I do agree that $100 for this is amazing value, buy it now before LEGO raises the price

    • @Vor1ki
      @Vor1ki 2 года назад +6

      @@bricksbyficks6448 it cost less then a penny to make a Lego 2x4 it’s not that expensive for lego to make minifigures becuase it’s Star Wars lego can charge more and people will still buy it.

    • @Cyber_Productions1998
      @Cyber_Productions1998 2 года назад +2

      Your comparing starwars to their own IP they have to pay Disney for the rights for starwars and starwars is just more popular so meaning a higher demand that means its going to cost more. Lego starwars just has a high demand so they can charge more and also the some of the pieces in the justifier may cost more to make and are bigger. And this is space set is a old set remade so their just not going to charge as much. But yeah I agree at the end of the day its plastic and we all know lego could sell starwars sets and other expensive sets for way less and still make a lot of profit.

    I know this video is a year old but I just got this set for Christmas from my daughter. I’m 53 years old and was 9 when the original set came out in ‘79. I wanted this set so bad but never did get it as the original price was just too much for my parents to afford at the time. I spent so much time carefully examining any pictures I could find of the original set and specifically asked for cheaper LEGO space sets with similar parts and was able to eventually build a good facsimile of the original. I told my daughter this story many years ago and when she spotted the remake decided to get it for me. Opening this set brought back a flood of emotions and joy I hadn’t felt opening a gift since I was a child, I actually teared up. Just finished putting it together. It’s a great set. I have bought and built tons of the technic sets, the bigger and more complicated the better. This set was a very welcome change.

    I Absolutely adore this set, a True reimaging of a CLASSIC. The value this set has is tremendous with the number of pieces, upscaled/large build overall, high quality figures and an amazing build for £90 is great and unmatched. I'm tracking this down next year for sure, completely blows Benny's spaceship out of the water. I might even pick up 2 and those new Brown space men from the upcoming Series 24 aswell.

    5:33 i didn’t realize it when i got this set in back in January, but that seemingly out-of-place black back piece was most definitely one of the two secrets in this set that was foreshadowing the blacktron gwp lego did a couple months back. I recently got back into LEGO because of this set. As a fan of classic space and an owner of the og set, I really enjoyed building this set and marveled at the new building techniques that LEGO now has compared with when I still bought it in the mid '80s. Best of all, it doesn't look out of place with the classic space sets at all, it fits in perfectly.

    Great review! It's nostalgic for me because i am from 1975 and i had the little spaceship (918) and my dream was the 928 (Yes in Europa the original set was 928). The 2 things i want to remark is: 1:
    The helmet design is different because the original design was cracking very fast ( that's why Benny has a broken helmet).
    2: The designer designed the new spaceship 1.5 times larger then the original. He dit that on purpose because a grown man has the same experience as a 8 year old in the 80's👍😁

I had the pieces of the original set which were passed down to me by my uncle when I was about 7, but obviously never knew what it was or how old it was so there's a funny kind of stepped-nostalgia to this too. I just ordered one. I worked with my friends whose mom had a publishing company, collating, stapling and putting into envelopes the news letters her company would send out. I would work from morning to night on the weekends and afternoons after school, I finally saved enough money to buy the original set. I think it was $39 dollars and $40 something after tax. I loved my Legos back as a kid, I took such good care of mine. I went off to college and returned to find my mom had given them away to her friends younger children. I was devastated, I wanted to hold onto them for when I had my own kids. I was excited to see that Lego recreated it. I most likely will send it over to my 10 yr old grandson. I have sent him many Lego Star Wars sets as gifts. To me.. The Space Legos collection will always be the most special ones.

    I just received this set and it will be the first time in 41 years that I touch any Lego. What was the last Lego I touched - yes, you guessed right. I then decided I was too old for playing with Lego (I was 14 then) and wrapped it up. I'm not even sure there's any left of it, it might have been passed down to me 12 years ago when my mum died but I never bothered. Time to dig into the deeper depths of my garage I guess... ...I can't wait to get started; it either might be a one-off re-introduction to Lego for me, or - and I guess you know the answer to that as well - I might get hooked and re-discovere an (nowadays since I have to buy them myself now) expensive new hobby...

    Sadly I discovered my parents sold on my old Lego (apart from my Town & Country car), as I have quite a few other Lego Space additional mini craft etc.
    All that survived were the two square base pieces - landing pad & crater. Ironically they don't come with this, nor does the little building that had the antenna on top. That antenna now is one of THE most sought after pieces by Lego space fans the world over....

In fact, I think a red spaceman was my first minifig ever. I have huge nostalgia for that era, and this was one of the most insta-buy Lego sets for me of all time.

    I just had an realization, my kindergarten had the original Galaxy Explorer said broken up. I am recognizing a lot of the same pieces that I would see in the original space explorer in lego bucket from my kindergarten classroom.

    My Dad's first Lego set was a space set. This would be the perfect present for him.

    How do you get the space men into their seats? whenever I try their buts don't fit with the white thing on the back(I just call them back rests) So whenever I wanna put them into the ship I have to remove the backrests. How can you get them to fit?

    I would like to see Remake of Ufo Series. The Helmets of this series minifigures are my favourite helmets ever made by Lego.

    I got the original Galaxy Explorer for Christmas 1980 still the best gift I ever got.
    Would have like to see them include the Yellow Blue and Black MiniFigures. Also the printed pieces to make the LL 924 and LL 918.

    I got this for Christmas and I LOVE IT. Although I had some trouble with the bricks coming loose and loosing a 1 by 6? 1 by 8? Non studded brick for the side of the ship which is annoying. I don’t have any spare grey ones so I had to use two one by one and one 1 by 4 for it.
