Man. You and Curtis are probably the best youtubers out there. Just like....100% pure quality. You waste 0 time, your cadence is perfect, the information flows in a logical direction, the on-screen information/graphics is sized correctly and relevant, it's just so refreshing man. Thanks for what you do. I really hope you're doing well.
5:02 UPDATE: They now allow you to adjust some of the basic parameters inside the 'Enhance mode'. To find this, update vocaster hub then look for that 48v button. If the software is up to date, there will be a new button that says "Edit" next to that 48v button. Click "Edit" and play around in there. Here's a lil breakdown of what they added (and what they didn't). One slider for compression, and slider for low, slider for mid, and slider for high. They also have a thing called rumble reduction which reduces the impact of when a mic is adjusted (like if I accidently smack the mic stand). Rumble reduction has three levels: off, low, high. Low seems to work well for me because high seems to be overly hollow and absent of low frequencies while off is too risky for my movements. I'm guessing that the rumble reduction is basically a compressor on the low frequencies only, but I am not sure. Each of the presets, radio, warm, clean, and bright, have that "Edit" section so they can be customized individually. All of this can be done for host or guest. Very nice touches.
They still do not have a dB meter anywhere in the program though. I want a dB in the vocaster hub software. This comment from 1/27/2023 (and I also put it on curtis' vocaster video). Just trying to help the cause.
Really interesting interface. Definitely will draw some attention to podcasters or people who want to start a podcast and need only 2 channels (host & guest). I like the fact that is pretty intuitive and easy to use and will not be a headache even if you are a beginner. One more thing to add is that for me 300$ is just a touch too expensive for the features you get (not saying that they are few but the fact that the Bluetooth function is faulty and the software does not offer you as much options as others/ still the loopback is nice to be seen) makes the price a bit high. Maybe 250$ will be better (personal opinion)
I agree. You could get a MOTU M2 for cheaper with more features and run your podcast or whatever, live through studio one or cakewalk and have money for a decent mic.
I just bought the Vocaster one, i highly agree with a lot of the things you said, but hear me out for a sec, there's nothing in the market to compete with this, the only thing close to it is the scarlet solo or the IO44, but there's one thing i hate about those, the dual channel thing, as a solo podcaster i've been wating for years for something like this, i just need a single mic iinput, that's it! i don't need extra crap, 1 single mic input and a good pre amp with a good equalizer, a compressor on this thing and there it is, the perfect device for the solo podcaster, if you're a musician you don't need to be looking at these devices, there's way better options with better pricing with more features out there. What a great review! Thanks for the details and especially the note about fostering those who are colorblind with the separated clipping part of the gain bar. Really well done!
I ordered one from Focusrite directly and can't wait to have it in my hand. I am a singing podcaster and I believe Focusrite has an excellent dynamic mic preamp as judged from my Scarlett 2i2. Most audio interface has the same problem when using with iOS that is only got sound on left channel. I had problem with Scarlett 2i2 and Audient EVO4. I only got that right with Shure MVi and Yamaha AG03. But in terms of sound quality they are imcomparable with the Scarlett 2i2. I talked with technical support of Focusrite and they confirm the left channel only problem is solved in Vocaster. Honestly as a podcaster, I am looking for something simple and great sound quality out of the box without fiddling around. This looks interesting. Focusrite's response to the Audient Evo 4, I think. The Evo 4 is a great piece of kit, and another intuitive interface like this is a welcome addition to the space.
Hey Bandrew 😎Greetings from my vacation on Crete. I'm not sure if to love or hate this interface. It seems to have decent build quality and preamps. It's easy to use, especially for beginners. It's restricted to voice / podcast, which is good and bad at the same time. But they made it easy without allowing a little bit more advanced users to unlock the limitations e.g. of the enhancer. And yes, I totally agree with you, at least in the software (Vocast hub) they should provide scales.
@@Podcastage I'm a huge proponent of accessibility. I wanted to focus on it for my career. Unfortunately, as much as companies say they care, yadda yadda you know what I'm going to say. (they don't) I'm also moderate deutan colorblind. I recommend Enchroma lenses. They really make a difference for something like a sunset. There are WAY more colors than I thought. Or rainbows always looked very fuzzy to me, the colors subtly blending into each other, and I had no idea they actually look like a drawing of a rainbow, with really defined bands of color. They look sort of silly that way, actually, I prefer my muted world for some things.
Hi Bandrew, great review as usual. Let me take this opportunity to thank you again for reviewing my work on Curtis’ panel last week. At the risk of concerning you, I should tell you that I also consulted Allen Williams, and you both agreed that you preferred the SM7b over the AKG/NT1 on the talent’s voice. I won’t tell anyone! Thanks again!! Andrew
Absolutely accurate call: it’s for podcasters who “just want it to work” without having to mess with levels, settings, and numbers above 2 (guest and host). Coming from an AV production background, I like the simplicity but dislike the lack of detail and control. Maybe with a software update you can toggle between KISS and Expert modes. THAT would be promising.
There are mighty big brains at work at Focusrite. It only takes one or two fits of brilliance to make an iconic product. In this case, choosing ultra simplicity of panel design is a major plus. The market practically begs for that and they have provided where others did not dare to go. Plugging your phone and having a ready mix minus for the interviewee is pure brilliance. I feel sorry for their competitors.
I've seen many of the reviews about this product using a smartphone for music, but can you actually bring in a phone call (such as a call-in) for a two-person podcast with one person on the XLR microphone and the other person on the phone call? Does the TRRS cable provide the capability for the person on the phone to hear you? I am surprised that not one reviewer tested this device with a phone call, especially since many solo podcasters may have a call in guest. Thanks in advance to anyone that responds.
At that price they seem like a great deal to me. I enjoyed using it, and I need to pull them out again but I heard they allow you to adjust the processing now. If that's true, then yeah I think it's great at $100.
if this didn't have 70db of gain it really wouldn't be too interesting compared to the Audient EVO or Presonus Revelator lines. those are both superb at a much lower entry. I've always preferred Audient over both Focusrite and Presonus BUT the Revelator is really nice. I own them all and as an engineer, the Revelator is my favorite because of the DSP and flexibility. But if I was recommending one for a lower-tech client I would recommend the EVO. Good review.
Hello, I've watched both your reviews on this interface and the rode caster pro. In your opinion, what would be a better choice for a beginner podcaster. It would be myself and another host doing mainly interviews over the phone. Thanks in advance.
I have the Scarlett solo and wanting to move up to another interface. Is the vocaster two worth the jump for livestreams and podcasting? Still watching on the review of course!
I've been looking into the Yamaha ZG-01. I think - think - it can add audio to an HDMI signal, which is something useful to me. Kind of more gamer-focused tbh, I don't know if it's something you'd look at. Only seems to be in Japan right now anyway.
Hey another fellow color blind. I have a focus rite solo and I thought it was a great touch that they let you change the colour scheme for the level meter. To me a red or green LED looks the same 😅
Just curious. If I'm not doing any live-streaming, but essentially recording a one to two-person podcast and adding bumper music and sound effects in post, is the Vocaster 2 sufficient, or would you still recommend the Rodecaster Pro? Thanks. Terrific review, btw. You've got another sub.
Audio problem - Any ideas? I'm using my ZV-E10 to stream to my iMac. For sound I use a dynamic mic going into Focusrite Vocaster Two interface going into my iMac. This works great EXCEPT for a vocal sync issue. I mainly use Zoom, Streamflow, and Quicktime to record. To solve the audio sync issue I am trying to run the audio out from the Vocaster (camera TRS output socket) directly into the mic socket on the ZV-E10. This is perfectly synced and crystal clear, UNTIL I connect the ZV-E10 to my iMac (via either USB or mini HDMI (via Camlink 4k)), which introduces massive noise. As soon as I connect the camera to the iMac, the noise starts. If there is not a solution, perhaps there is software that will help me solve the sync issue. I suspect that OBS or Ecamm Live have a solution. Although I'm open to that (and the learning curve) I'd rather find out what the cause of the problem is first. Any advice very much appreciated.
I agree with you about most podcasters nowadays who do music too and that combo jack would be good. I do like that camera output which the rodecaster pro 2 doesn't have but I could be wrong.
I love how it has a "guest" knob...like I have friends. I like 48v is independent. I wish the ports were PXC and not just XLR. Love the interface and the metering. Also really nice it powers those power hungry headphones. And the software seems pretty great. I think it's supposed to be used with something like OBS to see your scale. But I agree, it should be added.
@@kolvis6626 I'll be honest, I looked it up before I commented. I didn't know that's what it was called either. I call them XLR/Quarter Inch combo jacks....
I know this has Bluetooth, but for $200 you can get a zoom podtrack and record straight to a memory card with battery backup and there's 4 channels on the zoom. I think Focusrite needs to rethink the price on this.
maybe the only problem have with this interface is lack of options in comparations with others "interfaces for podcast" like Zoom podtrack or Rode Podcaster Pro
This would be a pretty neat interface for streamers and some nice competition for the PreSonus Revelator io44, but as you said, it really needs better control over the processing and better metering.
Dang those presets actually sound pretty good! For the software they simply need to add an "advanced" toggle for the people who actually give a crap and aren't plug n playing it.
My thoughts, too! The presets are more subtle and useful than I expected, but need a way to fine-tune them. Props to Podcastage for being the only place who detailed the presets! I'm also impressed that the gain is strong enough to power an SMB7 without a Cloudlifter or similar gain enhancer. However, I don't like the sound of Focusrite's lower-cost interfaces compared to rivals such as MOTU, so I'm not leaping to buy.
Hello, I work with an iMac, Audacity and Vocaster two with 2 microphones via XLR. Unfortunately, I can't get the Vocaster to pass separate tracks to Audacity. I get 2 tracks, each containing both microphones. But I want to have every microphone in one track. Isn't this possible with Vocaster? I would be happy about a tip!
You need to have your input set to CHANNEL 5/6, those are the two microphone inputs. So you would set Channel 5 for the host input and Channel 6 for the guest mic input. Here’s a breakdown of the channel mapping for the focusrite Vocaster: support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/5830218712082-Vocaster-One-Vocaster-Two-Channel-Ordering
@@Podcastage Thank you for your reply! Using my iMac, I can only select one channel in Audacity, either 5 or 6. For example, if I select channel 5, the recording will produce 5 tracks - which I don't understand either. Even if I then select channel 6, 5 tracks are created again. It's quite confusing and doesn't correspond to what Focusrite states. I suspect a hardware defect or what do you think? Merry Christmas, Peter
Great video. Do you know if you can use the Vocaster One with Audacity and a Twitter Spaces call connected via TRRS to an Android phone so that you have your host track on one track and Twitter Spaces' audio on the other track using AUX? If this is possible, I will definitely buy one.
Couldn't you just run a trs to xlr cable from a more dedicated interface like the ultralite-mk5 and get even more inputs that way? That way you have the option of just muting one side when you don't have a musical guest and, when you do, you also have the option of recording higher quality tracks onto a separate pc
I am planning to purchase the Focusrite Voicemaster Pro. I am looking for the right cables to connect it to any kind of speaker. Please tell me what kind of cables or what type of speakers it supports. Thank you for reading and have a wonderful day.
What is the best way if I as a new singer want to use youtube music videos and be able to hear the singers in the ears while I record myself and use the music for my own recording on that youtube video I found but not the singer on that video but instead add my own voice? How shall I do this? Now I bought an audio interface, mic, xlr cables and a macbook pro… but I have not yet decided what DAE I should buy! I want to record myself singing and doing voice acting, for films and audio books, and then record friends coming buy with their guitar or keyboard that can play music to my singing… I got the Audient ID 14 MKll sound interface and two mics now. I bought the mics after listening a LOT on the reviews here.,, Cubase LE came for free with it… not sure if that is good for what zi want to do or if Logic Pro or Ableton is better ….!? Please help advice me so zi get started the right way! Thanks😎😀
Clearly, he does! And from that point on Vocaster One is constantly in the shot even as he calls it Vocaster Two. Didn't you get confused when you saw it's top side with just two dials instead of three and only three buttons? Good review otherwise, but really screwed up by mixing two similar devices.
Wont' you please forgive me. I opted to hold up the Vocaster One instead of recording all the voice over separately and holding up the Vocaster Two. These videos take a lot of time and simplifying my production makes my life a little bit easier. Serious question though: how is the video "really screwed up" by holding up a device that utilizes the same material / same xlr jack to demonstrate the finger print issue or the fact that it has XLR only and it is not an XLR Combination jack?
@@Podcastage I figured you just miss-edited it. No skin of my nose, Bandrew. Do your impressions remain the same for the One as the Two? Take it sleazy!
@@Podcastage I understand videos take time and effort and figured out you were making two and decided to cut corners. But hear me out how it looked for me. At the beginning of the video, I had no idea about Vocaster One's existence. I watch carefully making mental notes about the device and then all of a sudden I see a device that looks very similar but is clearly functionally very different (one XLR, fewer dials, fewer buttons). And you keep calling it Vocaster Two. It blows my mind! I'm thinking "Am I crazy? Did I miss something?" I rewind to rewatch and double-check I'm not crazy and it is indeed a different device. Eventually, I even notice One has "One" written on it and then I realise what happened. Unpleasant experience to be honest. If you had some intro briefly mentioning that it's a line of two similar devices it would be perfectly fine to use them interchangeably to demonstrate fingerprints and XLR without a combination jack. But not like this.
Thanks so much! I am confused by all the interface options. I am not a musician and only want to record an interview on my iPhone that allows me to cleanly transcribe to text. Thought ? Please.
On a serious note, you mentioned other inputs through the two Loopback inputs (?). This part confused me. Could I use say a soundboard or a music app and have that also be in the mix?
I can't stop comparing this to the Zoom Podtrak P4 (which would be great if you can take a look at) which is like $100 cheaper. The P4 has a lot of good stuff (like 4 inputs, separate recording for every track, basic soundpads) I like but also has some cons that this Vocaster actually is good at like build quality, 48Khz recording and the software (even as barebones as it is currently). Makes me wish I could merge them together for their pros and get the ultimate basic super interface for podcasters hahaha.
This thing has Multitrack with 12 Channels. Soundpads can be added with an App from your Desktop or Tablett or Phone. It has two Loopback Channels ect. Everything you want is possible with a size that it easily fits in a back pack
Great and detail review! Does the mobile phone caller (via Aux port) hear both mic inputs? I am wondering if the Vocaster can be used to connect a caller during a stream.
6:36 the things we do to test gears haha really interesting interface they're really targeting the podcast market with this 11:28 Also love the way you test the mute button by cutting yourself hahaha 😂
As someone who is not really informed about tech - I want to sing (bur no instruments) and make podcasts, should I buy different interfaces for each purpose or can I also use this one for both purposes? I feel stupid asking please don't roast me lol
man... all i want is to have these hardware features on my wave xlr. literally would be the perfect product. i love my wave xlr so much and i absolutely ADORE the wave link software, especially since they added the option to use VST plugins, but having only one xlr input, only a single headphone out with no monitor out, and very few physical buttons really drags it down for the number of applications it fits for. it even works great in fl studio for me, but my issue is switching between microphones constantly. at this point i just have both the wave xlr and a 2i2 plugged in, the latter taking my studio mic and i have to switch my headphones over to that to get low delay in fl studio for recording. it's just kind of a mess, and if i could have the hardware of the vocaster with the software of the wave xlr, i'd be in mf heaven dude.
@@TheHalfmanofOz the concept is so phenomenal, it just really lacks features that would take it to the next level. im really hoping they have something in the works for more than just "streamers"
Which one do you like better the audient Evo lineup or the focus right lineup I guess we are all at this point of digital gain done in software versus knobs.?
Hi bandrew, could you do a video for people looking to get a good audio setup for professional video conference calls /meetings? Ideally something that doesn't have a mic blocking the view of the speaker. It would help with both work meetings and for speaking engagements at online events
I have question can you hear your guest through your headphones?? Because i have noise cancel headphones so i cannot hear my guest and i need something i can hear someone through the mixer! Also can you put it into your PC and hear lets say gameplay sounds through the mixer?
also, I do love the mute button and wish more podcast-centric gear would use them...but...could they make it larger...easier to press...and away from everything else? I mean...oh no...I'm about to sneeze! so I panic reach for it and hit the wrong button? It's like people design stuff without ever using it for its intended purpose.
HAHAHAHAHA! I had never considered that. If I wouldn't get a copyright ding it would have been amazing to put jim carey opening and. closing the sliding glass door there.
I'm so interested to test this on my telefunken tf51(high end somewhat expensive 251 studio mic remake, as such). Hear me out, I have an interesting idea on this. I've currently got beautiful rupert neve designs portico 5021 preamps, absolutely some of the most iconic, and expensive and high end studio pre's money can buy. I've also got a Neve 1073. I've also got excruciatingly expensive prism titan converters(again, some of the best money can buy). I've got myself a cl1b tubetech compressor, hell, I've got the same gear the biggest studios have. Why am I telling you all this? Simple. I want to see how close this can come, automatically, to what a skilled engineer can do with high end gear on someone singing. I know it won't be quite the same as all the fancy gear. BUT. And a VERY important but. Will anyone care? Maybe not. Maybe I won't even care. If this can get a singer to the starting place, provided they use a good quality mic, then this CHANGES THE GAME for so many singers who haven't spent 10 years learning engineering and buying expensive gear. This would be WONDERFUL for people who want to get something down, and just be CREATIVE without having to worry much about the rest. And honestly, I'd LOVE to do that myself. Of course I'd use my fancy cl1b and ssl's and etc once I've recorded. But it might get me close enough that I only want to use that for a bit of tone and color and small things. Less time spent on plugins, less time spent on all that stuff. Imagine switching to the warm preset when recording backing vocals, and the clarity one when doing a lead? Could be really, really, cool. And you just have what you need in your project, not needing to individually go in and do the beginning part of the mix for every one. I'm very, very excited.
Can you cycle through the enhancements without having to open the app? For instance if I turn the enhancement on to radio, do I have to open the hub each time
I'm not sure if I'm the best person to make that. I only use Logic Pro X and I know that's not a popular DAW. Depending on the recording software you use, I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials on RUclips on how to set up a multi-track session. Doing some basic setup videos could be helpful though. Thanks for the suggestion.
I have the vocaster 2 and I have tried to connect my microphone with my iphone since it has a trrs input and I have tried and it does not work? can u help me
At $150, if you don't need the instrument or line input that you're missing on this, I probably would go for this over the Audient. I love the mute button, and I haven't tried it yet but I heard somewhere that you can adjust the DSP now. I need to check that out.
@@Podcastage 😅 dude I’m obsessed with interfaces with built in DSP so I don’t have to do post production for YT vids or streaming! I’m also very obsessed with handheld dynamic mics, idk how we have never talked about this but I have for sure used your vids to decide on mics to buy a few times!

So seems like for a while the Vocaster 1 has been reduced to $99 and the Vocaster 2 is $150. What are your thoughts at this price point?
At that price they seem like a great deal to me. I enjoyed using it, and I need to pull them out again but I heard they allow you to adjust the processing now. If that's true, then yeah I think it's great at $100.
After seeing ads for the Vocaster I was literally waiting for you to make a video about it. 😆
Excellent work, as usual. Crossing all my digits that you review the Neve 88M at some point.
Im liking that radio setting with a side of fries. Thanks for the content
Great Review! You are one of my favorite humans!
You are so kind Rod! Thank you so much.
Agreed!
if this didn't have 70db of gain it really wouldn't be too interesting compared to the Audient EVO or Presonus Revelator lines. those are both superb at a much lower entry. I've always preferred Audient over both Focusrite and Presonus BUT the Revelator is really nice. I own them all and as an engineer, the Revelator is my favorite because of the DSP and flexibility. But if I was recommending one for a lower-tech client I would recommend the EVO.
Good review.
This is everything I could wonder! Thanks so much for the great content.
That depends. what do you want from a new interface/ what's missing on the scarlett solo that you want another interface?
I've been looking into the Yamaha ZG-01. I think - think - it can add audio to an HDMI signal, which is something useful to me.
Kind of more gamer-focused tbh, I don't know if it's something you'd look at. Only seems to be in Japan right now anyway.
This just seems to be designed to target the competitive Audient Evo line. Would still go with the audient, though. Great concept! Awesome review !!
Hey another fellow color blind. I have a focus rite solo and I thought it was a great touch that they let you change the colour scheme for the level meter. To me a red or green LED looks the same 😅
The self noise on your unit doesn't seem nearly as bad as the one Booth Junkie reviewed... I wonder if they sent him a faulty unit or something
*HD650s? A man of taste! I enjoy mine very much.*
I mean the review was great and all… but what song was that? That guitar solo tho 🔥
I recently purchased the SSL2+.
There's a few things I'd change, mostly the combined host headphones/monitor out control, but this thing looks really neat.
You can mute Headphone/Monitors seperately if you want to switch between them
@@koenignero You shouldn't have to. They should be separate controls is my point.
Interface mic preamps give subtle changes to the vocals so if ur planning on buyin another but really dont hear the subtle changes dont
You're the best of the best. Thanks again for awesome info.
Have you noticed he has the vocaster one and two. I wasnt sure which one he was talking about.
Never heard of pxc. Is that like a trs and xlr combo?
@@JustMamba Yeah, PXC is a 1/4" and XLR combo connector.
I did not know that was the abbreviation for that connector. Very interesting!
@@kolvis6626 I'll be honest, I looked it up before I commented. I didn't know that's what it was called either. I call them XLR/Quarter Inch combo jacks....
@@The-Skyking Heyo, fair enough! That's what I normally call them too, it's just an interesting factoid I'm glad I now know.
So the device you actually review is the Vocaster One.
I know this has Bluetooth, but for $200 you can get a zoom podtrack and record straight to a memory card with battery backup and there's 4 channels on the zoom.
I think Focusrite needs to rethink the price on this.
This thing has 12 Channels. But if you need more than 2 XLR then you need something different
But you can add a mixer for that
Hey Bandrew, want to go get fries with me? Also, thanks for the incredible review!
I’m trying not to eat French fries, but if it means hanging out with Judd Cudd, I’m in!
maybe the only problem have with this interface is lack of options in comparations with others "interfaces for podcast" like Zoom podtrack or Rode Podcaster Pro
Thanks for the review. I guess you can't have host, guest AND a phone call at the same time, right?
of course at the same time and even add Zoom Callers ect.
This would be a pretty neat interface for streamers and some nice competition for the PreSonus Revelator io44, but as you said, it really needs better control over the processing and better metering.
Thats is what you can add in software VSTs or AUs easily, total freedom, same with Metering
@@scott_pinzon Why not simply add fine tuning with VSTs and AUs on the DAW?
The machine does have LINE inputs just not INSTRUMENT inputs... The 3.5 mm is line input and can take any line level source...
The vocaster feels like an audio interface and a mixer had a baby
Hello,
I work with an iMac, Audacity and Vocaster two with 2 microphones via XLR.
Do you know if you
can use the Vocaster One with Audacity
and a Twitter Spaces call connected via
TRRS to an Android phone so that you
have your host track on one track and
Twitter Spaces' audio on the other track
using AUX? If this is possible, I will
definitely buy one.
Really love your videos!
Now I bought an audio interface, mic, xlr cables and a macbook pro…
but I have not yet decided what DAE I should buy!
I want to record myself singing and doing voice acting, for films and audio books, and then record friends coming buy with their guitar or keyboard that can play music to my singing…
I got the Audient ID 14 MKll sound interface and two mics now. I bought the mics after listening a LOT on the reviews here.,,
Cubase LE came for free with it…
not sure if that is good for what zi want to do or if Logic Pro or Ableton is better ….!?
Please help advice me so zi get started the right way!
Thanks😎😀
I got so confused at 16:46 when I only saw one input. I am guessing you also have the Vocaster One as well?
It would be a big turn of events if bandrew ended up being the CEO of every audio company ever and this was just a scheme to promote his products
Seeing as the software version says 1.0.0, I hope they add a scale to that software mixer :)
I have Presonus Revelator and GoXlr Mini and this looks like a very nice product. Thanks Bandrew.
the io24 has such nice features, but I hate the preamp hiss
@@ee1yd I found the same thing. I use a gate on the GoXlr Mini and it works a bit better.
Thanks so much! I am confused by all the interface options. I am not a musician and only want to record an interview on my iPhone that allows me to cleanly transcribe to text. Thought ? Please.
That's a lot for what is missing.
Some great ideas but just a little too niche?
@0:14 it's funny what the camera does here given the brand of the product being reviewed.
out of focusrite
Yes, there is a loopback, Mix Minus, everything you need for that
6:36 the things we do to test gears haha really interesting interface they're really targeting the podcast market with this
11:28 Also love the way you test the mute button by cutting yourself hahaha 😂
As someone who is not really informed about tech - I want to sing (bur no instruments) and make podcasts, should I buy different interfaces for each purpose or can I also use this one for both purposes? I feel stupid asking please don't roast me lol
my saffire pro 40 sounds pretty much the same, but i get the benefits of the 18i20
man... all i want is to have these hardware features on my wave xlr. literally would be the perfect product. i love my wave xlr so much and i absolutely ADORE the wave link software, especially since they added the option to use VST plugins, but having only one xlr input, only a single headphone out with no monitor out, and very few physical buttons really drags it down for the number of applications it fits for. it even works great in fl studio for me, but my issue is switching between microphones constantly. at this point i just have both the wave xlr and a 2i2 plugged in, the latter taking my studio mic and i have to switch my headphones over to that to get low delay in fl studio for recording. it's just kind of a mess, and if i could have the hardware of the vocaster with the software of the wave xlr, i'd be in mf heaven dude.
Good points. I almost bought a wave XLR but didn't due to the reasons you have stated as well as the latency being a touch high.
@@TheHalfmanofOz the concept is so phenomenal, it just really lacks features that would take it to the next level. im really hoping they have something in the works for more than just "streamers"
You can have both though, you can add the Vocaster SOLO or DUO to Wavelink.
Hi love the vids, just to clarify what’s the hole above power for??
okay i spotted it.... you were holding up the vocaster ONE at the end!! ... one xlr.... me eagle eyed or wot!
Which one do you like better the audient Evo lineup or the focus right lineup I guess we are all at this point of digital gain done in software versus knobs.?
Which Bluetooth codecs does it support?
Focusrite seems to be working really hard to hide that important detail lol
I see the bluetooth as more of a gimmick. Anyone using this who cares about reliability is going to plug that sucker in with a cable.
Hi bandrew, could you do a video for people looking to get a good audio setup for professional video conference calls /meetings? Ideally something that doesn't have a mic blocking the view of the speaker. It would help with both work meetings and for speaking engagements at online events
You will likely need a condensr microphone if it's more than one person talking towards a mic
@@Tony-ui2sl ahh no it's just one person - the professional speaker is connecting to the conference remotely via zoom meeting
REVIEW THE SE ELECTRONICS NEOM USB!!!!!!!!!!!
6:39 Ace Ventura
What is the benefit of getting this instead of for example a zoom h6?
Danke!
Can you cycle through the enhancements without having to open the app? For instance if I turn the enhancement on to radio, do I have to open the hub each time
GRRRRRREAT VIDEO!
You should make a video were you only sing a solid note, pls do so!
That would lead to an exodus of subscribers that unsubscribe.
may you test the axino ?
Can you show how to set up multi track recording please :(
I'm not sure if I'm the best person to make that. I only use Logic Pro X and I know that's not a popular DAW. Depending on the recording software you use, I'm sure there are plenty of tutorials on RUclips on how to set up a multi-track session. Doing some basic setup videos could be helpful though. Thanks for the suggestion.
I have the vocaster 2 and I have tried to connect my microphone with my iphone since it has a trrs input and I have tried and it does not work? can u help me
Is anyone else getting ground loop noise when connecting via 3.5mm out to a camera?
What’s your opinion on this vs a 2i2 4th gen? I already have the 2i2. This is on sale for $100. I make RUclips videos and that’s about it. 😊
hey man can u please review the AKG p3s ..
Would the Rode Procaster microphone work on this Model?
Yes.
Watch the demo portion with the SM7B. The SM7b is quieter than the procaster, so it will be more than sufficient.
With this being only $150 now, would you recommend it over the Audient Evo 4?
At $150, if you don't need the instrument or line input that you're missing on this, I probably would go for this over the Audient. I love the mute button, and I haven't tried it yet but I heard somewhere that you can adjust the DSP now. I need to check that out.
Thanks for the response.
