It’ll surely hit me like losing a family member on the day I learn that David is no longer with us. I no doubt I speak for the majority of his fans in saying that. 💖David Gilmour has a mission on earth to produce quality music, including for the 90s generation. Born March 6, 1946. My grandmother, March 8, 1945 (died March 15, 2020). If I were forced to choose only one guitarist to listen to for the rest of my life and none others, there would be NO HESITATION - NONE! It would be the one and only, David Gilmour.
I AM GOING TO MISS DAVID when he exits mortality’s stage and passes thru the veil to the other side. At age 62 I’ve been listening to his soul-stirring, emotion-evoking music for most of my life now. In all my life, his masterful guitarwork is the ONLY guitarwork that has ever brought a tear to my eye - specifically, his guitar solo in the middle of his performance of Elvis Presley’s “Don’t” ... and his opening and closing tracks, “5 A.M.” and “And Then...” on his album “Rattle That Lock”.
It’ll surely hit me like losing a family member on the day I learn that David is no longer with us. I no doubt I speak for the majority of his fans in saying that.
Touch someone’s soul deeply enough and you are beloved for life. Such has been the impact of David Gilmour and his wondrous gift of musical composition and guitarwork on this man’s life.
Guy Pratt, bass legend
Playing with Floyd/Gilmour since 1987 says it all. Finest kind.
Pratt was my main inspiration to even play bass to begin with, I still never get tired of it.
So are we just not gonna mention that beast of a bass riff? One of the best in my humble opinion
Yeah, it drives the song for sure.
First time I saw and heard this bass player was on Venice concert, sometimes in the '80-s.
I have fall in love with him and his gorgeous playing until today. He is a bass master for me.
My gosh. I didn't realise i was not watching David. Oh my friend you should be so proud of yourself. I've been playing guitar since I waw 13. And I'm absolutely useless compared to you. Your awesome bro. Big love from Australia
No once can match his class of playing... Supremo.....dave is my fave....
No one can play guitar so slow and say so much like David! Absolute virtuoso, genius!

💖David Gilmour has a mission on earth to produce quality music, including for the 90s generation. Born March 6, 1946. My grandmother, March 8, 1945 (died March 15, 2020). I am honored by a generation that was born at the end of the war, after the war. Because they had a rather difficult childhood, but they left something useful on earth. 💖
The guitar is an extension of his body .. no one else brings out that level of feel via a guitar .. he is uniquely gifted .. long live the king
This is the god of guitar playing the language of gods. el mejor
And most of us are extensions of our phones
David, Nick,Richard(R,I,P), and pf,

Damn, he plays so effortlessly. As he was alone and enjoying only the playing. Blessed to live this era and happy to tell I saw them live around that time.
David Gilmour incredible sounds from the guitar are legendary. I grew up on Pink Floyd and still the band I listen to all the time. Peace to all and be kind!

My wife announced that lunch was ready, and I had to pause a David Gilmor solo. What a sin!
LOL
You weren't listening it loud enough mate 😅❤🙏
I would have told that hag, to shut up.
I would have starved instead
I love how everyone on the stage is so into Gilmours solo. Amazing.
Magnificent, I listen to David at least once a day for the past 20 years he keeps giving me a reason to love music 🎵❤ sadly water's concert are like karaoke.
Again and again he gives me the chills. No boring, mechanical but technically perfect fretboard-wanking. Just a smooth and yet exciting flow of musicality... Thank you Mr. Gilmour.
This is a magical concert, bringing the past to the future bravo, the hole is never finished finished finished
Great song, great musiciens, great performance ... and the drummer is anyway the happiest person on earth :)
I like the young bass player too... Guy something? I think... The way he does that lil kick while playing.. they always seemed to enjoy playing after waters split.. not that I don't like him, too. But they all smile at each other at times up there.. I like the backup singers too.
Greatest musician that ever lived... Gilmour is a living legend!
I couldn’t agree more....God blessed us with an extraordinary guitarist when David Jon Gilmour was born....long live the legend
That riff... touch my soul so hard.
One of the best musicians ever! A true gentleman, a legend!

Да, всё остальное просто пыль)))
Гилмор величайший.

The world was never the same as when David Gilmour arose and made his astounding beautifully mastered music.
Well said. Can't imagine life without Bands like Floyd plus to many to mention. The Punk Rock days we're also amazing , It was like the reality of the prophecies of these bands like Floyd had come to pass . Keep enjoying the sounds 0f Life .
GUITAR GOD. OMG, WHAT A SOLO!!!!!
Magnificent!!
The sweet smell of a great sorrow lies over the land
Plumes of smoke rise and merge into the leaden sky
A man lies and dreams of green fields and rivers
But awakes to a morning with no reason for waking
He's haunted by the memory of a lost paradise
In his youth or a dream, he can't be precise
He's chained forever to a world that's departed
It's not enough, it's not enough
His blood has frozen and curdled with fright
His knees have trembled and given way in the night
His hand has weakened at the moment of truth
His step has faltered
One world, one soul
Time pass, the river roll
And he talks to the river of lost love and dedication
And silent replies that swirl invitation
Flow dark and troubled to an oily sea
A grim intimation of what is to be
There's an unceasing wind that blows through this night
And there's dust in my eyes, that blinds my sight
And silence that speaks so much louder than words
Of promises broken
Thank you!
Deep shit dude! Thanks for your imput, it was quite stirring.
