I think I just witnessed someone falling in love with Ailee's voice. Understandable. That woman's voice is powerful and just amazing. She is so, so talented. She did This Girl Is On Fire too and it was RIDICULOUSLY good.
True. Girl on Fire was the first cover of hers I found, then later I found this one. She's soooo good live. To the point where she's almost better live, you need to be a really really good singer to constantly do this well live. Everyone can sound good in a studio. Heck, I bet they could make me sound decent even xD

I don't think it's just because she's from the US, because there are lots of US pop idols that don't have a very good pronunciation
I think its because when pop singers project their voices, they tend to slur some words and hence ruining their pronunciation

The things I'm learning are flooring me. Your comments about the actual anatomy and preparing for your plan for the song by approaching ceilings (bridges?) and pronounciation etc are mind blowing. For some reason during this reaction I thought of a runner stretching and choosing the correct shoes and knowing with dead certainty the road and his ability. @@Lucas-or1ic idk lol tbh the vocal range of kpop stars isn't very impressive compared to western ones. like compare anyone from twice or blackpink against like sia, jessie j, adele, beyonce -- it's literally no contest. so to hear people like baekhyun or ailee just dominate kpop vocals is really cool. it's just that the people who are really talented at singing usually don't become kpop stars lol and the ones who do are grabbed by sm or become solo artists

Korea has a lot of good technical singers. I mean they train before they debut. I think you've seen examples of them like Chen from Exo and SoHyang AKA the best singer in Korea and Asia.
Other notable singers are Park Hyoshin, Son Seung Yeon, KyuHyun from Super Junior, Lee Hae-ri from Davichi and many more others. :))
