This type of content is the reason I began watching fragrance channels. Then I got trapped in the "new release, "highly produced, shop my links" etc madness. I am so happy to find something "real" again. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your collection.
I love burning incense as much as I love incense fragrances and I like how you showed the different types of incense in comparison with these fragrances. I've never seen anyone do that before - applause!!! It never hit me that Ciara's incense was Nag Champa until you said it here - and yes!! I get that, and while I love burning Nag Champa I am not a fan of that type in fragrance? I even got the Nag Champa oil from the incense company and didn't really care for it on my skin - only in the air :) And I guess that's why I've never been keen on Ciara. I much prefer the incense in the others you have here like Opium and Shalimar, also like in Poison or Obsession or Youth Dew. I actually like burning resins on charcoal or a bakhour burner and my favorite fragrances that have that kind of a resinous "churchy" incense vibe are Montale Full Incense, CdG Avignon, TF Sahara, Keiko Mecheri Oliban, Norma Kamali Incense and the like - just a really penetrating resinous incense smoke in these, I love them! I unfortunately, do not get any incense in Chanel no. 5, I wish I did!! I would probably love it too. That Japanese incense in the wooden box, I have to look that one up, and am very interested in the Precious Musk as well. Thank you so much for this, really appreciated it!
I love most of these, but my all time favorite incense frag is Dior’s Poison. Something about plum, berries, and incense that seems like it wouldn’t work makes it all the more fascinating (and it layers great with another iconic incense: Elizabeth Taylor’s Passion).
I was on Ebay earlier this morning and saw an orange top one and i was like i saw someone i am subscribed to talking abt this recently. It is Cafe. Put it in my cart and was looking at reviews to see if i should get it. Price is very cheap. I smelled opium be4 and did appreciate it.
Hi Corina. I hope I have your name right. I have been enjoying your videos. I am a fragrance enthusiast like you. I have many perfumes that you have. You explain fragrances so well and I learn from you about them. I like the setup you have when you put the perfumes on the table and then talk about them. I have Opium in the same bottle that you have, but it is in a 1.7 oz. bottle that I bought in the flee market. Take Care. 😊
loved this overview! i have 5 perfumes that you have featured here. i have a newer and a vintage ciara and i love them both but the vintage one is sweeter, interestingly enough. i remember women wearing it when i was a child. there's a french incense brand called esteban that makes some amazing stuff. they are a little pricier like the japenese incense, but i splurge on them once in awhile. so far 'ambre' is my favorite. i also love good ol nag champa too, and this really cheap indian brand called hem-the 'amber santal' is really good. i think they're $2-3 a pack.
Oscar De La Renta is really a timeless one. Unlike most incense frags it’s more soft, rounded, and feminine. It’s a good intro for those nervous about both incense and wearing vintage.
My favorite is Shallimar, particularly because of the addition of leather & citrus. Some other classic affordable ones with an incense note are Obsession by Calvin Klein, Dali Parfum de Toilette Salvador Dali, Flower by Kenzo, Magie Noire Lancôme, Cinnabar Estée Lauder, Volupté Oscar de la Renta, Anais Anais L’Original by Cacharel (the Eau de Parfum version), and Youth Dew Estée Lauder. I love it, but the last one you have to strap in for unless you like a very vintage-spicy DNA.
@@MyPerfumeMap it's worth a try, I really like the Milano Fragranze fragrances, they are reasonably priced and interesting. I didn't try Solstice scents but my vegan and cruelty free friend really appreciates them. 🙂
What about the bottle between No5 & Emeraude? And I really want to hear more about Coffee by Cofinlux - I cannot recall hearing another channel say they like it and I would love to hear your take!
Hi. I'm a subscriber and I enjoy your channel. I'd like to know which Shalimar you have above...there is the edp, edt and so many flankers it's confusing...thanks!
I just found your channel and immediately subscribed. I love perfume! I’m looking forward to watching all of your videos, but in the meantime, do you know of any dupes available for Calvin Klein’s Escape. I loved that perfume and bought a bottle just a few years ago in a shop but they’ve changed the formula I guess because it smelled nothing at all like I remembered it. I wore Ciara years ago and loved it and emeraude has always been a favorite of mine too.
Thank you! I think Escape gets compared to Diamonds and Sapphires by Elizabeth Taylor but I haven’t compared them myself. I know how it feels to want to relive a scent experience!

Such a cool review! Love the smell of Incense 😊

Thanks for all the incense fragrance recommendations!

I’ll have to check out esteban. Thank you!
Very interesting thank you

I love Youth Dew!
Nice work on this ❤ cool that u like burning incenses I just got a box of some myself gifted to me
Been a long time since I burned any! 😊
My favourite incense is basilica, it's a herbal lighter one.
I’ve heard of that. I would like to try it. I actually have a small sample of a perfume oil called Basilica, from Solstice Scents.

I love Oscar de la renta
Me too
I have worn Oscar since 2003. It was one of mom's fragrances..she also wore Galore'..it's discontinued but.so beautiful. She also wore Arpege.

I think it’s L’aimant by Coty? I actually forgot to spray it on camera but it is a great, cheaper alternative to no5

Thanks for the education; apart from Opium i had no idea incense is in so many fragrances.
My pleasure!
What concentration is your Ciara? I see 100% and 80% on Amazon.
It’s 100.
@@MyPerfumeMap thank you
Last time I wore Elizabeth Taylor passion my husband said the house smelled like a smoke shop.
I can see that. Very smokey and leathery. I considered putting that frag in this video.

Chanel No 22 has an incense burn.
