I was just singing Halfway to Paradise yesterday while doing the washing up. I saw him on stage twice back in his heyday.
sadly missed for his fantastic voice and vocal range, for his love respect and care for animals..for bringing so much pleasure, and still does to millions all over the world..and the fact that stardom never phased him he would stop and chat to anyone who wanted to meet him a true wonderful kind gentle person r.i p billy gone but never forgotten

I love Billy Fury, always have ,always will. I saw him on stage many times and he was always brilliant. Only 1 regret, he is not laid to rest in Liverpool.

The Head Groundsman told me on my first visit that it is the most visited grave in the whole cemetery. Michael Parkinson

Of course the Statue at Liverpool is a tremendous tribute to him. I plan to visit the grave on 28 January 2015 and speak another different tribute to Billy Fury. Michael Parkinson
Billy was my favourite singer, and still to this day I'm always playing his music. It was amazing for him to do what he did being so shy.

Its now 2021, I can't believe how long ago it was when he passed, seems like only a few years. Can anyone just turn up and put flowers on his grave? It would mean so much to do so.

'Halfway to Paradise' always reminds me of Macari's Ice Cream Parlour on Herne Bay seafront; and I can also remember listening to 'Like I've Never Been Gone' on a transistor radio on the Downs near the King's Hall with my cousin Denise. 🤗

When I have put my Billy Fury Dance shows on where young dancers are involved they love the sound of his voice, clear diction and those lovely backings on his recordings. Michael Parkinson
Isn't it strange how Billy Fury never got a number 1, how can that be possible, I think maybe the powers that be in the music industry back then, had the power to manipulate the charts, well I know that to be true, so who cares he didn't have a number 1, we all know he had many no 1's , if only recognised by people like me. and millions of other fans.

Who is taking care of Billy's rave now all family members have passed away? (2020)
I have been asked to give directions for the grave. I went from central London to Edgware, the last station on the Northern tube line. Bus 221 from the adjoining bus station and got off at the stop for Salcombe Gardens, walked left and took the second road on the right, Milespit Road. I took the second entrance into Mill Hill Cemetery (on the right). Walked through the gateway entrance and turned left up the path. The grave is about 1 minute walk up the path on the right hand side. There is a seat with a dedication to Billy Fury on the left side of the path (facing the grave).

Thank you Keith Denny for your comment and question. He had lived in London for over 20 years since achieving fame as Billy Fury and even lived at Mill Hill for a couple of years. He himself had decided that he wanted to be laid to rest at Mill Hill. Michael Parkinson
Best of British rock n roll theres only 1 Billy fury never be another this grave is old they changed his plague on there and put a photo of billy on a motorbike this grave is old and needs to be deleted
Hello Gary Stevens. I understand that the headstone is being cleaned and the weeds and soil being removed. I hope to be able to travel there on 28 Jan 2021 to see it. Michael Parkinson
The grave is superbly looked after. When we go and there is anything wrong we notify the suitable people. The two photographs on each side of the headstone are in good condition. The headstone and surround are insured and cleaned professionally. If you look at Michael's thoughtful uptodate video for the 28th of January, 2024 you will see how we care for it. I don't know where you got your information from, but there is no photo of a motorbike on the headstone. An up to date laminated photo is placed loosely on the new blue stones that look wonderful.
Shame he isnt resting in his native Merseyside.....

BILLY your missed by millions ,I love your music and i have sang many of your songs on stage in compertions and also i started to do karaoke shows after every one i sang in front of had told me i am the best sound a like they have every heard .i have even sang on stage with paper lace at my brothers wedding ,because paper lace do a billy fury experiance ,i was drunk at the time when they dragged me up lol,and even paper lace said to me i sound better than there own guy.I just wished i could do some more .
loved the guy, a thousand stars was going to be our wedding song, sadly it never happened
