@@MechaKaiser Nomura is a guy who has vision who just can't executed properly, the problem with KH is that it wants to throw all the ideas that Nomura has without focusing on the main idea the story is easy to follow but it suffers from too much stuff throw at you.
@@zetamangads Well that and KH's overall story also suffers from the inciting incident of _Birth by Sleep_ having by far the weakest and worst story of all the (relevant) games since basically everyone but Xehanort (and I guess Braig) acts like an idiot in that game. That in turn just drags down everything else, especially the characters directly involved in that game. (Looking at you most of all, Master Eraqus, especially since even in the end you just excused Xehanort's bullshit anyway.)
Okay but the ending made me laugh harder than it should've.

I can't believe Nomura guided Sakurai through the D(isney)arkness.
I think the real reason Sora is in Smash is because Disney knows it'll get them a lot of money. With Sora in smash, not only will people be spending money to play as Sora, it gets the Kingdom Hearts franchise even more publicity, so even more people will want to buy, and play their games.
Not mentionning they also porting the entire series on Switch, so people who only have a switch and would happen to discover Sora and KH through Smash got the opportunity to buy and play the KH series to.
Also they reveal the KH collection coming to switch too so they def saw this as a money and exposure move
@Tyler Davis That's still called porting even if it's only digital. But yeah pretty much no reason to take the Switch versions over any other version.
If I'm gonna be honest, Disney these days just as much good publicity they can get, since they screwed over Marvel games so much. And this one is a no brainer.

I honestly have mad respect for Sakurai, the three titans of IP... Sakurai caught in the middle... he fought for Sora and he won, all because he knew how bad his fans wanted him in... he has gone above and beyond for his fans in this game, may he spend the rest of his days in peaceful retirement away from the evil clutches of nintendo.
And then a few years later Nintendo started making the next smash bros game pulling Sakurai back into the game

Earlier this week a well-known employee of Nintendo weighed in on the 4chan leak from back in July. They said it would be a lot less red tape they had to deal with if they just kept the Disney references to the absolute minimum.
When the the 3DS and the Wii U weren't doing well, the CEO of Nintendo cut his own pay by %50 to make up for it and refused to fire any of his staff. The other Executives were taking %20 and %30 pay cuts as well. Their explanation to this was, "layoffs are not the solution." How is Nintendo an evil company?
Even though Sora isn't one of my most wanted fighters, I'm incredibly proud for those who wanted him as a fighter.
Pretty happy with Sakurai who did a great game series and that is Smash itself
Thanks dude I’m on of those people who wanted sora in smash ever sense I played KH2 on my older brothers PS2 back in 2016 and in 2019 I bought KH 1.5+2.5 Remix and when I played KH2 back in 2016 I feel in love with the franchise and hoped that sora would get in smash so thanks for being proud of us dude

The funny thing is the situation was apparently reversed. Disney really wanted Sora in, but Nomora didn’t want to cause he wants to mess up the Kingdom Hearts lore, but he found a way to make it work. (So Sora in Smash is canon.)
