    I agree 100%, have multiple sketchbooks and draw daily. I have been participating in art challenges on Instagram, so far I have two lined up for February. They are great practice, because they force you to draw things you normally wouldn't. Great sketchbook tour! Thank you

      That is wonderful! Which challenges do you plan to participate in February? I totally agree on the benefit of pushing us out of our comfort zones - I once did "march of robots" - something I would never ever draw - and I haven't drawn not even one robot in my life before that challenge - and then I drew 31 of them :D. They were fun after all - I made a bee robot and a Frida Kahlo robot,... I would never thought I would enjoy that challenge - yet, when you participate you make it so that you like it - it's like magic! Thank you for that reminder!

      Glad you like them! You know the saying how artists can only see the mistakes in their work - it's true for me as well :D - so it's so nice to read that somebody else actually likes them! Thank you so much for that - it's such a nice reminder people don't see our work the way we do.

      Hihi, full of mistakes but full, right?:) I agree, a lot of mistakes is still better than a blank sketchbook!

    Such a lovely video and great tips!! I used to think I should only have one sketchbook and it was so hard to stay inspired. After I finished my first sketchbook I learned it’s ok to use multiple and I love drawing in all of my sketchbooks 🤩💗 your art is also so cool and looks so fun!! I’ll definitely be subscribing :)

      Yea, we've probably all been taught "use up the first sketchbook first" approach - but for me and many artists this "multitasking method" works much better. If I play in one sketchbook it's totally chaotic since it's a million of styles and sometimes even different media and subjects all over the place... But if I have several it's much easier:) And less pressure - you already know what you draw in that sketchbook when you pick it up:). I'm still a bit too eclectic but I guess some of it will never go away... Thank you so much and I'm very grateful for every subscriber:). I hope you enjoy it here:).

    Thank you! I like seeing imperfect sketchbooks, because that is how they are supposed to be!

      I'm so glad you liked them - I was pretty worried when I filmed/uploaded it - I thought nobody would want to see that - but than I said to myself - but I always like to see that - maybe somebody else would like it - I'm glad you're that somebody:). Thank you so much for the encouragement - it will be easier to make more bold and messier art ties on camera:)

      Awesome. I am looking forward to more "real" sketchbooks. I have a few videos on my channel, but I stopped posting. It is a very big job creating content (and I don't enjoy the editing.).

    Good to see your smiling face! I have been under the weather for a while. In Oct. I fell and broke my foot, had surgery, then in a cast for over a month. Then two weeks ago I was so sick in hospital for a partial bowel obstruction. It was awful but finally resolved itself, and I got to come home, and so far so good. I loved seeing your sketchbooks!! I think you draw so well. Thank you for sharing!! I hope 2024 is great for all of us!!!

      Thank you so much for your comment - I'm sorry for your bad luck this winter - I do hope it all gets better from now on for you, too. We're all more or less sick since autumn as well so I can relate but just flues and stuff, nothing serious as a surgery or broken bones, thankfully. From now on we go full heath mode, deal? :)
      And while you're healing, watch videos and draw something silly, that always helps with the mood:). Thank you for being with me!

      You made me so happy, thank you so much! I really enjoy art and sharing ideas but I don't enjoy editing that much so your encouragement is very very helpful in keeping me motivated to do more:).
      There are so many simple ideas floating around my head and doing art can be so much fun - I'm sure you will never regret getting back to it.
      PS: there's another nature journaling video about flowers waiting for you:). Because spring is in the air:). Thank you again!

      You have no idea how much your comment means to me! That is the sole purpose of this channel! I really hope my videos could reach someone and help in a tiny little way to make someone's day a little bit better/happier/whatever. I didn't even dream that it could really help someone with an art block so I'm so so happy for that! Thank you so much, you made my day although yt doesn't show me all the comments in the real time - some I see, some just pop up later with an older day - I have no idea why but I will try to figure out how to solve this as it has happened quite a few times now... Thank you so much once again - I hope you keep sketching - it doesn't need to be good - it just needs to be:)

    Very, I love your art, and what a good idea to have different sketchbooks for different subjects. I love your negative painting of leaves in the first book you shared. You are an accomplished artist; you can do various styles. I enjoyed your presentation a lot. You are inspiring me!

    • @veryartyfairy

      Thank you so much - I am so happy that this inspired you - I didn't honestly think it would - but it was still worth a try😀. I enjoy too many art styles, I am like a kitten with a toy - jumping here and there - let's try this, let's try that... Too much running around :D - but hey, why the heck not? :) It's not hurting anybody:). I'm so happy that somebody understands and even likes that trait. As a child I've always listened to: "You need to focus on one thing!" And I never could - there's just too many interesting things... I even made 3 kids so there's split focus built into the experience :D.
      I'll do some negative painting in the near future, pinkie promise!

      Very, I am at the beginning of freeing my inner artist and kicking myself for waiting so long. I watch all kinds of RUclips tutorials and I want to try many things, but I have to limit myself as I am learning the basics. I am drawing and coloring, learning blending and itching to try watercolor painting. My focus is botanicals and nature art. Today I used Gesso. I wish I could go away someplace and shut myself in to do are. Thank you for your inspiration.@@veryartyfairy

    I’m also trying to give jobs to my sketchbooks as well… I have a messy one that I like to just play with colour or write notes to myself but others that have a theme! :) got myself a couple of 12x12 art creation sketchbooks to give it a go! 😊

    • @veryartyfairy
      @veryartyfairy  3 месяца назад +1

      That's a great idea! I love the themed sketchbooks! And the 12x12 - that's a real commitment, kudos to you! I'm still in the small format until I get my life back on track with the new job. But I can't wait to get some sort of a routine (which is funny since I organize my life in a way that I have no routine :D) - well, I just want more time for art, actually. We'll get there, right?! :) Enjoy your sketchbooks, I'm very impressed!

    Don't do drugs or get drunk, before you make a video.

    • @veryartyfairy
      @veryartyfairy  5 месяцев назад +13

      Haha, that's a great advice - rest assured I don't do any of that either before or after video - whenever anybody asks me to, I tell them that I am crazy enough without drugs and they usually agree :D. English is my second language and I don't speak it on daily basis because I don't live in USA that's why sometimes I struggle to find the right word and I'm not used to talk to the camera so I'm a bit clumsy and I imagine it can come across like I'm not sober :D. I'm sorry for that - I do hope it will get better with time as I make more videos and talk more on the camera.
      If it's because of the laughter - I do laugh a lot I know (in real life and I guess on camera as well) - like some people on weed but I guess my brain just produces endorphins on their own - humour is my coping mechanism and I like to see other people smile so I laugh and smile a lot:). To each his own - I guess my thing is laughter:). What is your thing that makes you happier?
