A fantastic effort Gopal. I loved the Mukesh and Vanathi's rendition of this classic song that only MSV could think of, a song that starts with a different prelude & has 3 different interludes. A few minor details. I think the line ஓடம் பொன்னோடம் இது உன்னோடும் என்னோடும் ஓடும் was sung twice in the original. Kavingar's creativity and imagination was all over the song. Besides what you have said in your introduction, there were numerous places that only Kavingar could write, eg, PS sings describing Sivaji மன்னர் என்ன மாநிறமோ and in return, TMS sings ஒரு பக்கம் அச்சமுள்ள மானினமோ. What a composition? I still remember watching this movie at Noorjehan theatre in my childhood. Few years, we (my family) went to Rome and I made sure that visited all the famous that were shown in this song, eg, colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and others. I even asked my kids to a video of my singing the pallavi to my wife. Of course, I did not have a white pant to wear during the trip. It was so nostalgic. Some of the variations you talked about, eg, the boat ride in the first charanama and the BGM that goes along with the scene and the mood, how did MSV even conceive such a sequence? Just mind blowing. The team consisting of MSV, Kavingar, TMS, PSuseela was the greatest ever in the film industry and produced some great compositions during that golden period. Trend Setters did a fantastic job, Best Regards.
Such a tough song in terms of rhythm patterns but the orchestra excelled at playing it. Hats off 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Both singers were wonderful. Mukesh replicating TMS’s “I love you” 😂🤣😂
Wonderfully sung ! Great introduction to the song Gopal Sir! Another complex melodic creation by MSV. Although there are so many variations both melodically and rhythmically, the sense of musical continuity is kept intact through out.
Requisite demonstration clearly given; for the situation, for which the song was composed. Gopal sir, you have given a new dimension to the old song by adding all missed parts of music. Each and every instrument is crystal clear, energetic and bustling. This is the best tribute given to MSV. Corus part is more sweeter and clear than the original version. Much deserved song to start with in this series.. Very difficult one to reproduce this one on live with the set and qty of instruments used while recording but the musicians made it happened almost with sincere committment Your intro on song is much needed and appreciated.. Good part the singers had been closely covered this time.. Vanathi and Mukesh bhai did a very decent and spectacular performance with the complexity and long duration of song . Support of other female singers also commendable... Good to see quality audience and ambience... Only the quality of sound could have been better but still understandable with the nature of live performance and timing you get.. Its going to be a thrill with expectation for the next 6 months in week end like reading every chapter a week rather reading it in one stroke ( seeing in live) Nice experience..Kudos to all.
