Nah, just proof of how obsessive fangirls can be. There’s nothing great about these two together aside from the actors having chemistry. They were probably the worst main romance of the show. Pacey belonged with Andie who didn’t trigger all his insecurities and actually made him a better person(whereas Joey made him a lot worse), and Joey belonged with Dawson who she had a “one in a million” connection with Even on the surface, Pacey and Joey were just another generic romance, don’t know why everyone is obsessed with them
@@leilahussain9171 There was no misogyny in my comment. I was simply stating my opinion about why a guy had a way better relationship with someone who pushed him to be better than with someone who triggered all his insecurities and flaws. It’s simply common sense. Pacey and Joey had a very toxic relationship in season 4, unlike what he had with Andie(before the writers screwed her up) Relationships should help and improve people not bring them down. I don’t know where you got misogyny from, this was not against Joey. I blame Pacey just as much if not more, he was my fav character before he fell for Joey, then he turned into a toxic dick
you realize that a cover version of this song was literally used in the scene where Joey kissed Pacey for the first time like, it’s definitely more of a Pacey/Joey song than a Dawson/Joey one
@@leilahussain9171 The same version was also used when Joey and Dawson kissed in the finale of Season 4 when they were leaving to college. And it’s also the song that Joey and Dawson always sang together all their lives since kids, it’s Joey’s favorite song for that very reason. So no this is more of a Dawson and Joey song
@@Johnnysmithy24 that version was literally commissioned by the show writers for the Pacey and Joey scene lmao. The entire reason Dawson and Joey sing that song to begin with is because the writers needed a version to juxtapose the version with Pacey and Joey. Literally the purpose of that song in the show is to highlight Pacey and Joey’s relationship, it doesn’t matter that Joey once kissed Dawson to it or that it’s their karaoke song 💀. Media literacy my guy. It’s a Pacey/Joey song.
@@leilahussain9171 It doesn’t matter what story the writers were trying to pull off at the moment. Canonically, it is Joey and Dawson’s song, as per the show. And it was fittingly used for their kiss later on, after PJ broke up and she went back to Dawson. Why do you think it’s Joey’s favorite song? She can’t hear the background soundtrack of the show you know lol, it’s her favorite song because it’s her song with Dawson.
@@leilahussain9171 If anything, you could argue it’s just “Joey’s song”. As she’s the only character that was always present everytime it was played lol. But in terms of the history of the character, this is her song with Dawson, and I’m sure he’s the person that popped in her mind everytime she heard it.
Great video! It really captures how charming these two are together ❤ love the song choice!
Thank you so much for watchinggg❤❤
So many great videos dedicated to Pacey and Joey. More proof that they are one of the best romances ever put on TV
