People call this dramas ending a realistic one portraying today's younger generation. The type of relationship we must have been in our high school and college and university times. But to be honest I don't find this perfect ending. From the very beginning it has been showed how yijin and na hee do struggled for each other , to strengthen each other's bond but within few episodes they broke up and parted their ways . I think the makers should have given one chance to the mls for reconciliation. After all i have also seen some of the relationship which still persist even from high school days and college because people not easily give up on them whom they loved . Efforts matter in every relationship. May it be of today's time or 90s time.

A beautiful kdrama destroyed by an ending, which does not make sense and does not connect to everything that had happened from Episodes 1-15. Justice to Na Hee-do and Baek Yi-jin! And justice to all of us who have wasted all our times in connecting each dots every episodes just to convince ourselves that she was their daughter, only to end up with still the same question. It’s been more than two years but I am still left with one question: Who tf is her father?! Why can’t we have a beautiful ending even just in movies?

This makes me hate that last season of HIMYM all over again. Like GOT and Lost, an entire show ruined because of hubris.

I want a love story like them.

2521 was one of the best drama/love stories I have ever watched. However, at first I was very disappointed with the ending. After a few days, I watched several episodes again. Including Episode 14. Two things, first, the producers have to give us a Season 2. Second, there are several theories as to who is Kim Min cee's father, and who did Na Hee do marry. I think Hee do married Baec Yi jin and he is the father of Kim Min Chee. This is why, not in any order a 22 year span. 1998-2021-Friendship & lover. 2002-they break up and the episode ends with them both crying and holding each other. Yi jin goes to US, Hee do travels fencing. There is a mention of a 7 year span. 2009-Yijin returns to US and anchors news. Hee do retires from fencing. They get together again. Also, at some point, Hee' do's mother makes a comment about seeing Yijin the night before. Hee do does not respond. If you watch the actors in the news segment in Episode 14, they say something personal to one another. Their smiles may at first seem nostalgic. But look closer. Hee do clearly shows love on her face. They have the same flashback thought. And as an afterthought congratulating Hee do on her wedding. It ends with Yijin's little smirk on his face. As if, they pulled a good one off on the public. 2022-13 years later, Min chee is about the age it takes for the marriage, pregnancy and childhood. Why would the father of Min chee and the husband of Hee do not factor into the film. And, you ask why would they do this? This is why. Remember how Hee do's mother didn't want anyone to know Hee do was her daughter? It was to protect her. The main concern for Yijin, Hee do, and Heedo's mother, was to protect Hee do from public scrutiny and attack during their courtship. Protecting Hee do was critical for Yijin. Something Yijin would have been compelled to do as a reporter, and now as an anchor. Kim is the last name of Yijin's mother. Kim Min chee is Yijin and Hee do's daughter and they are protecting her by using her maternal grandmother's last name. These two are really good actors. There. It's a good ending. I stopped crying as soon as I figured it out. I wrote the first episode of Season 2. Producers, you may send the check to me via paypal.
