In my current campaign I'm playing a oath of the crown paladin and I'm strongly considering multiclassing with college of eloquence bard

My favorite combo is Spirit Bard/Vengeance Paladin.
    -be me
-play a broody, ghostly character in leather armor and a cloak wielding a rapier
-everyone assumes I'm a rogue because of my expertise in Stealth
-their faces when I stab someone with my rapier and it bursts into holy light as my cloak shifts just enough to see the gleaming holy symbol pin on my chest

I have spent the past year optimizing tons of different builds using only/mostly the charisma casters and with the new subclasses in Tasha’s there are just sooo many different powerful combinations and interactions using only the warlock, sorcerer, bard, and paladin. Can achieve crazy hi armor class, and be able to do top level single target and aoe damage, heal, do things like twin haste, which I don’t think people understand the power of, and get resources back on a short rest. There is a gold mine there that I’m not sure the designers intended, and I don’t think most players know about. Rich ground for interesting characters to role play, and versatile enough to fulfill almost any “combat fantasy” you have from playing a superhero type character to a brute, to the sarcastic face of the party with devastating skills, to the stealthy assassin, to the nasty control caster who never looses concentration, it’s fucking endless and the numbers on things like the Pamlock, or certain sorlock builds are so close to what you can actually achieve in real combat it seems like your character concept is really working.

Yes. I love the charisma characters. So many great ways to combine them.

I´m looking in playing a Kobold-Oath of Glory Paladin and search a good multiclass for it.
The theme of the character is, that the little boy shall be an inspiring leader for the group.
"if one so little like me goes in, we all shall"
And he´s collecting magic item to free the kobold-god.
      Which multi-(sub)class u would recommend?

playing single class bard, my daughter another one. Magical secrets, versatility, amazing single class. especially Valor single class with equivalent cleric AC, I tend to think my party are my damage output, I'm there to control, support, buff, debuff and socially interact, my allies are my weapons. The main issue is concentration on spells: shield guardian please! Recently have the option to take Magic Initiate Warlock free feat for all the party allying with a powerful mage. Seriously thought about hex and eldritch blast, but realised hex is concentration, eldritch blast has no stat bonus to damage...so I can theoretically do some reasonable damage, or roll low and do as much as Vicious Mockery, without the good rider. Action economy. Went Mind Sliver, Chill Touch, Protection from evil and good. Another feat to consider, metamagic Adept, careful spell, Hypnotic pattern is now PERFECT, no friendly fire, close range, nice.

Ya, bards are really awesome. Which is nice, because historically they've usually kinda sucked. But I've always thought they had potential.

agreed that this is a great multiclass though personally i'd triple class and pick up hexblade to align my attack and cast stat unless all i plan to do with spells i buff myself.
lore, eloquence, creation and swords are imo the top 4 subclasses with valor, whispers, glamour as the bottom subclasses. bards lends themselves to customization well due to magical secrets so they do as well multiclassed or straightclassed.

This combination would create a great sorrel combo. Bane and synaptic static. Vengeance paladin anyway.

Hey Rob wanted your thoughts on where I'm bringing my character. I'm currently playing a 13th level tortle oath of the ancients paladin and reading over the tenets of that subclass sets up perfectly for a bard multiclass. A gentle giant who despite the appearance is always willing to offer a helping hand and a soothing poem. Any bard subclasses you'd recommend I'm leaning lore but would love a second opinion. Love the content keep it up!

I like Lore too. It sounds thematic for your character, and you can get some Magical Secrets at level 6 to round things out rather nicely. And Jack of all Trades is always a great asset.

I'm a big fan of silly kinda characters, one of my mine is a bard/paladin combo where they are literally a rockstar and can use their music and paladin abilities to boost their team and do damage

Ride the Lightning = thunder wave
      Thunder struck = thunder clap
For whom the bell tolls = shatter
Master of puppets = charm person/ monster
      Crazy train= Tashas hideous laughter
      Enter Sandman = sleep
Currently playing a Eddie Munson based character that is a valor bard and once his name is cleared oath of glory paladin. We are level 6 now so hopefully I get his name cleared soon so I can go oath of glory. Idk if my dm is going to do vampire or not with him tho.

My Bard just shot up two levels to lvl. 4 and now he's a College of Glamour Bard. Took a +2 to strength for my ASI so now I have 18 strength along with my 18 charisma. This was partially done because I pulled an amazing sword out of a stone that requires an 18 strength to wield without disadvantage. However, the other reason is because I plan on multiclassing into Paladin soon. It will probably be Oath of Glory because of his prideful nature, but I'm not sure. I'm watching this video to see what a good level would be to multiclass.
