Love the tips for keeping the workflow snappy. 3D can bog you down a lot if you get lost in the details. Also HUGE respect for growing your RUclips channel this fast with only a handful of videos. It speaks for the value you provide. Cheers, Manny
Just seeing this now! Definitely gonna try implementing some of these into my workflow while I continue busting out assets for next video, thanks for taking the time to make this!
Distraction is a big thing. If I fire up Blender first I am away running...if I fire up world of warships for just 1 game...Blender does not happen. The one consistent thing for me is competitions or live stream events. Still, have so much more to learn. Appreciate your posts.
It's a blessing to have your insights Max, thanks a lot! Some potential topics for future videos if it inspires you: - What are the best assets and resources that you found along the way - How to neatly and safely manage the storage and disk space / backups when you download so many resources and heavy packs Cheers!
At some stage you have to consider a NAS box. It doesn't have to be big/silly expensive, just a 2 bay drive from Synology or other brand that you trust. You're basically just using it as a safe file repository/file server. Cat 6 ethernet cables plus a gigabit network switch and you're good to go. You can use solid state drives if you want (sata type) or big 3.5" hdds, like seagate ironwolf 2 - 8 terabyte, if you have a lot of stuff. A NAS brings huge peace of mind, and they're so easy to use. I don't have mine running all the time, just every now and then, when I want to back up files/add some things to a library or get something off it. The beauty of nas is that you can access it from any device connected to your network, including mobile devices, like laptops and tablets. Just one thing, remember to buy two identical storage devices for it, and set them up in a mirror configuration, for redundancy, if it's a 2 bay device. Many people would argue that the whole point of nas is data safety, so therefore use mirroring for redundancy. If you have a 4 bay, you can use raid 10 (1 + 0), for speed and redundancy (uses striping and mirroring across the 4 storage devices). I know - it is a bit galling to buy 2 storage devices and only end up with the capacity of one, but that's the price we pay for peace of mind. As Linus Sebastian (LTT) once said, "buy once, cry once". Then you can chill.
Max wtf are you doing?! I had one wish last year --> I wanted to see your workflow, and now your posting more videos than i was hoping to, you're amazing, thanks so much.
Really helpful video! I would absolutely love to see you going in depth with a few of your artworks - A rough breakdown from the concept to the final piece would be amazing to see!
Really glad I found it back. Just came back to say thank you for that workspace. It's been my default one since i've upgraded my setup and been able to work on bigger projects. Really versatile with pretty much everything on screen at all time, thanks again man ! Also love your work :]
I think I figured it out. It looks like you deselect "Show Gizmo" if that's selected. Under "Show Overlays", deselect "Text Info". Then right click on a blank section of the header in the view window and deselect "Show Header". I hope that works for you too.
Really appreciate the tips. Walkthroughs on your past renders are great. One on coming up with scene ideas may be good too. I've started looking for artwork and seeing if I can replicate it to learn techniques, also to avoid procrasination
Love the tips, but the asset browser still confuses me, especially how to organize it. For example, how to save rigged people, or scenes, things other than static OBJs.
Very helpful tips! I know from personal experience too that having a video or podcast open on a second monitor can get too distracting. I find having white noise can work instead of music to focus, because even music can get distracting sometimes.😅Keep up the dedicated work!
Hey max! thanks for your tips! I wanted to ask whats your thoght process behind the idea of a render, does it suddenly come to mind, do you draw or anything of that sort?
A lot of tips that I'll keep in mind Although one thing, how big of a factor does music play in terms of being distracting I've heard some people say it always helps and some people say it always hurts.
How do you get the rendered viewport? I couldn't find a way today searched all around. I am a blender beginner and really struggle with these kind of layout stuff.
It's really interesting to see how other people work Max, and you've certainly developed your own system. There are, of course, no rights and wrongs, whatever works, but I would observe that you have a lot of stuff going on, on your screen. Have you considered using two monitors side by side, so that you have more space to arrange all of your workspaces? I have not tried this yet myself, but I would like to. Apparently, blender has some features which make it quite amenable to a dual monitor setup. Otherwise, great advice.
For some reason I've always found it distracting to have a second monitor. Personally I like to have a single, big ass monitor for projects, it's a good compromise
Hi Max, I'm trying to figure out how you achieved your second viewport configuration, if you or anyone else in the comments can tell me how, that would be greatly appreciated
I am guessing you saw his latest video that covers it, but if not, it's titled "How To Make Amazing Renders On A Slow Computer | Blender Tutorial" and covers that in one section.
Personally I shuffle deadmau5 every time I fire up blender. And that is how I am in the 99.5th percentile of his listeners on spotify 😂. Great video Max, just discovered you recently but I am very captivated by your art style. I was wondering if you experimented at all with MJ / disco diffusion / stable diffusion. Have you found it to be any valuable enhancement to your art so far?
I have been using 3.3 for quite a while and I don't know how to set up the Asset library _Am I dumz_ I mean I have a folder where I kept some of my fbx models but blender can't see therefore I can't in asset library
The asset library does import fbx files it imports blender elements like models in a .blend file or material or someone, go search for a tutorial they'll teach you everything (of you haven't already done that i suppose)
Does all the assets in you library has commercial license on them? There are a lot of them from different sources. Especially "People" one. It kind of reminds me of those incredibly expensive human assets for movies with very convoluted licensing. I mean it's all well and good when it's your hobby or you are building a portfolio, but it can become a problem if you accidently use something in commercial work.

@@richardconway6425 Thanks for your detailed answer Richard. It's getting really technical for me ahah but I'll show your message to the seller :)

so glad this was recommended to me. Never even heard of the asset library feature, but it will save me so much time!
Really glad I found it back.

Have no idea how your vids help me with issues I battle 🔥🔥
This is an amazing video max, thanks for the really helpful tips to stay focused on the work, really helpful ✌
Loving the consistent uploads brother
I love your videos bro, you inspire me a lot, don’t stop making videos pls
Great video, how did you get your rendered view blank without any sidebars or anything?
I think I figured it out. It looks like you deselect "Show Gizmo" if that's selected. Under "Show Overlays", deselect "Text Info". Then right click on a blank section of the header in the view window and deselect "Show Header". I hope that works for you too.
Your channel is so inspiring. Thanks for sharing and keep up the great work!
lets go max , this is beautiful
Can't thank you enough man.. Thanks for sharing so much
This is gold.
0:59 "don't have a video playing in the background" me: listening to this video while in blender
Thank you so much this helped a lot!!!! You saved my life
Really appreciate the tips. Walkthroughs on your past renders are great. One on coming up with scene ideas may be good too. I've started looking for artwork and seeing if I can replicate it to learn techniques, also to avoid procrasination
Thanks for the tips. Can I ask what HDRI or World Input you used?
This here is the sky texture. It's a node that comes with blender so just search for that in the world shader editor
how did you setup the render region in your right side window?
I'm really wondering how he got rid of all the buttons around. Looks so clean, there's no options visible anywhere. Hope we get an answer soon :D
Love the tips, but the asset browser still confuses me, especially how to organize it. For example, how to save rigged people, or scenes, things other than static OBJs.
I believe you can save a collection as an asset so that might work for you.
Very helpful tips! I know from personal experience too that having a video or podcast open on a second monitor can get too distracting. I find having white noise can work instead of music to focus, because even music can get distracting sometimes.😅Keep up the dedicated work!
Great! What about material library? How to quickly choose/select/import/check thousands of textures on the model?
Thank you! And I like your layout :)
Hey max! thanks for your tips! I wanted to ask whats your thoght process behind the idea of a render, does it suddenly come to mind, do you draw or anything of that sort?
how to open that render view please ?
following you on Instagram for so long and there you go doing videos ♥. Thank you for the efforts
i would love to see how you do your materials.
is it substance painter?
or all in blender?
also great video man, helps a lot ♥
what asset libary do you use
A lot of tips that I'll keep in mind
Although one thing, how big of a factor does music play in terms of being distracting I've heard some people say it always helps and some people say it always hurts.
Nice vid ! How do you setup your camera live render of the scene in such way to not get the UI pls ?
How do you get the rendered viewport? I couldn't find a way today searched all around. I am a blender beginner and really struggle with these kind of layout stuff.
he explains how to set it up in his "How To Make Amazing Renders On A Slow Computer" video
@@EatVitamins Yes I came across to it few days later thanks.
I'd love a tut on how you set up your asset browser. It's something I've been struggling myself, especially with kitbash3d assets :D

it is way better. you should have one more monitor. if you can try to have 3. since it doesn't hurt :)
For some reason I've always found it distracting to have a second monitor. Personally I like to have a single, big ass monitor for projects, it's a good compromise
Max = Consistent RUclipsr ? 😳
Thanks for the tips ! 👍
Btw can you make a video about your render settings like what resolution, sample counts, etc you use ?
Thanks for the tips!
Really helpful, thank you!
how do we find the right kit bashing kits to build our libraries as a beginner?
Great tips!
how i can open the second viewport just with camera perspective 6:00
i found ruclips.net/video/jGTLxZ4MU5Q/видео.html 2:00
Thanks for sharing man !
How did you remove all the icons in the camera window? Lookin ripped btw lol

hey guys, does anyone knows how to enable that viewport render ?
I try to play only music that has very few or no vocals in it.
what people pack is that?
can you share your assets library?
appreciate you!
You're the boss
I wish I had your asset library 🔥

can you share your blkender layout?
🔥
Please share your 3d object collection bro
Can you make a video on how to grow your audience?
Yo can I get that startup file???
Actually nevermind I was able to figure it out! Long time listener first time caller!!! Thank you so much for these videos!
Thanks
👍❤
Working on a a detailed model in blender while watching this.. failed already haha 😆
hey man would you offer one on one teaching? paid of course
So.... essentially just do Kitbashing.
thank you for your tech~
big fan here :) following you on instagram, keep it up :)
How does he remove the menus for the rendered window at 6:15?
