I'll always be proud of Hop. He was able to change his pronouns from "Not Him" to "I'm Him" and is able to go toe to toe with the Alolan Champ. What a legend

That was a great conclusion to Ash & Hop's rivalry. Here I thought Hop's Cinderace would be the last of his team to be standing, but it makes sense his long-time friend and partner Dubwool would be the one he'd trust to get the win in case his second closest Pokemon Cinderace were to fall.
I really like this series. You really kept true to the spirit of the Pokémon anime and didn’t just make it something that could be seen as fan made. I’m really impressed.

The battle between Ash & Hop was fantastic! I'm proud of all of the character growth & development Hop got and I love the choice of the two choosing to use the teams they had traveling together. It truly felt full circle. ^-^

Such a good battle, I loved all the symbolic matchups like:
Pikachu vs Dubwool: first partner showdown
urshifu vs blastoise: isle of armour bois
Rillaboom vs Cinderace: not only a galar starter showdown, but also rillaboom avenging his loss to cinderace back in the Griflet (I think) tournament
and last of all, Rillaboom vs Dubwool: a match of Hop’s first Pokémon vs ash’s first Galatian partner, but also a call back to ash and hop’s first 6v6, the Turning point for hop
Bravos all around Zac, this battle was awesome!
Also might I suggest a video where you come up with new moves for all of ash’s Pokémon? Ash’s battles with his old Pokemon in the league got me curious for what everyone’s new moves could be

Bro this episode was sick! I was actually at the edge of my seat. I'm happy with how far Hop has come. He had trouble with Bede, trouble with trying to be like Ash, but in the end he really became a champion level threat. Although he didn't win I hope he challenges again next year.

As this series is most likely gonna be ending soon i hope that Zac carries this on with Ash going to paldea or an actual rewrite of journeys with the masters 8 and new teams for the main characters etc

The fact that there was a possibility of Hop winning and still being satisfying shows how good this rewrite is
I like to imagine Pikachu aimed for the horn when it used that supercharged Thunderbolt…just a little nod to a time long ago.
Sucks Drednaw has become the fall guy in the Galar squad, but Rillaboom is a total beast!

Considering the highlights Skorch and Naw got throughout the conference them taking the fall here is fine.

@@SrMissileMonkey Well Centiskorch got to shine against Melony but it was Infernape that shined against Klara. While drednaw it did take out Klara's Scolipede and created stealth rocks to hit Galarian Slowbro it still got taken out by venoshock before it used it's third max move

This is what we could have gotten from the anime, while ash vs Cynthia was awesome, the anime league only gave us a few battle compared to what Zak produced

Hop is a worthy opponent and friend of Ash. He came a long way to get to where he did. 😊
This was truly a final league match. Ash was backed against the wall and the turnaround he had was amazing. I truly thought a few things. The final match was going to be Rillaboom and Cinderace and that Hop was going to win. Truly love how this series can pull out surprises. Even if Hop won, this battle showed that it was truly earned.
Everyone on the teams putting in work, but I just wanna give pros to Dubwool for putting in some insane effort this match. Good on you Zac to give it some much needed spotlight!

Just realized that in the part called Ash vs Hop when Ash fought against Opal it was Grookey vs Wooloo and they both evolved in the battle. This match was low key foreshadowed

Amazing ending to the Galar League Ash and Goh using their original Galar teams. Rillaboom the star of the final battle, Urshifu and Cinderace performances were spectacular as well. What’s going to happen in the Darkest day arc with Chairman Rose destroying Galar using it’s particles?..
I got a feeling Ash will take him on and beat him, maybe with Hop's help. Likely after beating both swordbert and shieldbert first. Then they'll both go face Eternatus with Zacian and Zamazenta being summoned to help slay the dragon

You know something. I honestly wouldn’t be mad if Hop had won. After all the development he had throughout the entire series, he deserved to battle Leon just as much as Ash. Speaking of whom, congrats to Ash on his second league win!!! An amazing end to the Galar League, now it’s time for the Darkest Day Arc, and I can’t wait!!!!!
Same! Hop is one of the friendly rivals that I like most because of his development and how much he has evolved in the game. I wish more rivals were like him.

Yeah Zac definitely did the Galar region justice because this feels like a more natural progression for Ash. It's not perfect but I'll definitely take this over Journeys.

@@paolocalapatia6401 Yeah even though it wasn't shown that much, I like that we got to see Hop go through his own development separate from Ash and Gloria. Plus it was a nice way to show his depression arc like where he got a bunch of random pokemon and got swept by Ash because his bond with them was a lot weaker than Ash's galar team. I just wish some of his gym battles were different from ash's like Ash would bea while Hop fought Allister at Stow-on-side. At least Zac switched up some of the gym leader's pokemon to make it less repetitve.

Good episode set here, definitely didn't expect that Rillaboom would give Ash the win, I was expecting Pikachu. Hop got stronger with his Pokemon too. Now it seems to take a turn and Leon's match against Ash may be delayed due to the Darkest Day. I can't wait to see what happens then. Great episodes.

My oh my! That was a crazy league final! Each and every Pokémon gave their all, going down valiantly, including Rillaboom, who defeated 2 Pokémon in a row. And seeing the cliffhanger for the Darkest Day is hype!

Funny you should post this I'm replaying through Shield to get Regieleki and Glastrier for my Living dex. Doing so made me look at Hop and the other characters differently. They showed Hops progression but they rarely showed us his face in deep emotion they always have him turn away.
Something I did notice too is the underlining theme of living in other's shadow and it's not just with Hop.

Nice way of teasing us with the thumbnail because I thought the finale would be the two Galar starters battling it out! However, Hop used his TRUE starter!

Absolutely incredible. The only thing is if he was gonna use all of his Galar Pokémon + Pikachu for this battle, then Centiskorch/Corviknight/Drednaw weren't really needed in older battles. We could've had cool comebacks from other Ash Pokémon.

This was a goated ass episode. My boy Rillaboom pulls through let's go! This league was amazing. It might have the peaks of other league like Sinnoh, or Kalos, or Alola. It still was a great league that gave every rival spotlight. Excited to see the rest of sword and shield playout, as well as the journeys in the spain region next series

I absolutely love the original twist on Ash’s Urshifu which I feel like it should have a new ability that allows it to switch between Rapid Strike and Single Strike styles, though for now until GameFreak makes an official way for Urshifu to switch between it’s two styles I’ll keep it in my headcanon due to how awesome it is!
Oh and I CANNOT forget Hop’s arc here as he is one of my favourite characters in SWSH which despite it’s mixed reputation I absolutely love it’s story and Hop’s arc. Out of all characters he’s one of the most developed and I’m so glad to see you use that part of him to create the greatest version of Hop possible.
Now I can’t wait for the finale of this series! My boy Zamazenta is going to appear in this series and I wonder if Ash’ll use him or his “sister” Zacian?
What a twist! I have an idea on what the Eternatus fight can go, with the Pokémon following Rose’s orders until it gets too much of the Dynamax energy to Eternamax and go beserk, holding all of Ash’s Pokémon apart from Pikachu hostage in an attempt to Dynamax them and have them rampage too. Then Ash and Hop go get the sword and shield to summon the legendaries to save their Pokémon and then defeat Eternatus

That battle was so amazing- I'm genuinely happy about this. Also, the fact that Hop maaged to stand this strongly, and for a moment had an edge on Ash? Like damn I knew Ashw ould probably win but I was still so fucking worried that he'd lose because of the sheer odds- Jsut amazing writing Zac, gotta applaud ya on that! Absolutely spectacular!

Gotta Admit The Battle between both Ash and Hop were amazing. And I'm proud of Hop even though he lost to Ash, He still proves that he's getting alot better that we intended. How the Battle Between two friends One who's the champion of the Alola Region and The other who's deem to defeat his own Brother to become Galar's Champion.
