The reason I like this so much is not just because Wanda is a great movie and Kevin was great in it. It's because comedies aren't considered as highly by the Academy as dramas are, which is not just a shame, it's really unfair. Great comedy is not easy to write at the best of times. When you consider how hard it is to write 5-10 mins of comedy, writing 100 minutes that works from start to finish _and_ includes drama, suspense and romance...that's a feat. But somehow the Academy thinks that turgid, pompous drama is the pinnacle of the medium.

RIP Roger Moore
RIP Sean Connery
i came here for river and i rly wish he was still alive to see his brothers' success (and his sisters). he was so young and talented and pure and he deserved a long happy life. he would've won many great awards by now its just sad to see such a young talent die so young he had so much ahead of him ): may he rest in peace
Kevin Kline is one Awesome actor!
awww my little rio
At that time, River Phoenix and Kevin Kline are filming I Love You To Death together. A great movie including ensemble cast : Tracey Ullman, Joan Plowright, William Hurt and Keanu Reeves.
As crazy and sadistic as he was in the film, Kevin Kline put in an outstanding performance! His win was well deserved.
In Michael Palin's published diaries, he talks in depth about the rehearsal and film process with Kevin. He took his role extremely seriously and really put everything into it. It showed!
"Grand Canyon" an overlooked gem with Danny Glover
River starred with Kevin Kline in I Love You to Death, so I wouldn't doubt it if they were friends. That's one of the greatest comedies of all time!
There will only ever be one BOND...JAMES BOND. RIP Sir Sean Connery born only three months before my own late mother, and RIP RIVER PHOENIX. I always knew HALLOWEEN was bad luck!!
Just watched A Fish Called Wanda he was so hilarious 😂 very well-deserved Oscar
Sad to think that Kevin Kline is the only one of the nominees left alive😢
How did the crowd not roar with laughter at Kevin's "There a lot Brits here tonight... Scary..." It was the perfect line for Otto's character.
Maybe they hadn't seen the movie.
I loved to see Connery and Moore together and joking around about James Bond.
One of the best movies of Kevin Kline! Great actor.❤️
What a great moment for Kevin Kline, with 3 Greats behind him and he is holding his Oscar and they follow him off stage. That is a High. He deserved it. He is great in Soap Dish.
He was such a great supporting actor, he carried us away!
