I would love to have a beer with this guy. Not only because he is a character of note but I still rate him as good enough to make the English side.

It's amazing that Dan Cole is still playing professional rugby well into his 60s.

I like the fact that he doesn't give your regulation cliched, bland sport interview answers but he also makes me feel he plays the smart-arsed, macho schtick a little too much and his borderline rudeness sounds as if he is trying to intimidate and humiliate the questioner at times. He could be more gracious sometimes and less "Aren't I a clever dick?"

In the greatest respect, I don't think he really gives a plop what anyone else is thinking. He clearly knows he's got what the majority of viewers want, but equally he comes across as someone who is aware that TV and these interviews and all that kinda jazz are so fake and rehearsed... so he just kinds says what enters his head which frankly is something I can relate too... whenever I hear "yeah, it's a massive credit to the boys and the coach and the squad, we dug deep, we knew we had it in us to get the win today".... followed with a reporter statement of the opposition played a little bit of rugby kinda?, answered by "oh a maaaassive credit to the opposition" (even though the opposition were total underdogs and totally put to the sword), "the scoreboard doesn't reflect how tough they were" (scoreboard reading 120-0), "they really came out firing today and made it hard for us".... I just wanna barf...
As individual players, it's rare we get to the end of a game and think "Ah that was easy, barely need a shower", every game comes with a fight, grime, blood, aches, pain" but it's just a boring same old story to hear it reported each game..
