Honestly the fact this song has 4 variations and i didnt even notice they were tied to the floors cements this as the suprerior version of the song compared to OG imo. When i was playing the game hearing the song change like that seemingly at random and so smoothly felt great it made the song feel so more dynamic. They did a great job
No. Nuh uh. The originals surprise disco music can’t be beat. Like when you enter you think the musics gonna be all intense in serious… but nope. PARTY TIME
@@susiehaltmann3342I mean, to be fair this is likely because you played the original before the remake. If you played the remake only (and had no spoilers for the story), you'd be surprised by the tone because you likely wouldn't expect it
During my playthrough when i heard the first floor version i didnt like it at all and felt a bit sad that they maybe had butchered a great song BUT the further you go down the more banger it gets! and now i just like all version, im literally jamming to this all day
Seems to be pronounced “Ecks.” If you tattle one with Goombella in-battle, her dialogue reads: “That’s an X-Naut.” Part of me wants to believe that the whole “Cross-Yux” thing is just a jab at Sony for calling the PlayStation’s X button “cross.” Either way it’s pretty funny!
@pairasox Well the tattle for the X-Yux is "That's an X-Yux. I hear this is read as "Cross"-Yux, not as "Ex"-Yux." , so despite the name being cross naut it's written as x yux, so when goombella says x naut, it's not defined whether it's actually x or if it's cross
@@johndappet6346 That’s true. I guess we’re gonna have to go off speculation as to what the correct pronunciation actually is. I’m gonna go off the assumption that if it WAS “cross-nauts”, then at some point one of the x-naut characters would correct the party at some point in dialogue. real talk i just say ecks-yux anyway because it’s easier for me to say than cross yux 😅 and it only shows up once so it’s not a big deal really
I would add that the writing of the Tattle tells you it's "X" and not "Cross". If Goombella is saying "an X" and not "a X", we know it's X. You wouldn't say "an cross".
@@pairasox Also, when you have Koops out and you meet Punio, he'll say "X-Nauts? Is that some sort of, like, extreme tissue paper, or something?" Implying it's ecks and not cross.
The instrumentation. It's very subtle, but there's different synths for each floor. Best example: Listen to sublevel 2 for a bit, until it transitions to sublevel 3, and you can hear a pitchy synth that sounds like a voice being added.
I really like the new music, but they made some absolutely baffling mixing choices, and this song is probably the worst example of it. I had no idea what the main melody was until I listened to the original song then came back and listened for it, only to hear it being quieter than half of the other layers playing
RIGHT!? I thought I was the only one who noticed! A lot of the remixed tracks have some really odd mixing choices. The melody gets drowned out in a lot of them.
I love how all the lights coming from the moon base just makes it seem like its just a massive space rave party
Cus it is- /j
Well they did make all the moon related music sound like a rave too
They're calling Batman to the rave
An X Naut rave!
Grodus and Eggman in Sonic Adventure 1 know what's up
Real and swag
Based.
hi
Bro what is this guy doing here

5 actually.
It's awesome because despite the OG being an awesome, awesome bop, the part that made it good was incredibly, INCREDIBLY repetitive.
"There's no way they could make this better"
"Oh my god they made it better"
Agree to disagree
They both have their respective vibes. One moment I'll like one more and the next moment, the other.

Utilising the moon background for this was such a nice idea. Plus points! 🎶
i was literally just looking for this and didn't think you'd be the one to post it but thank you so much
So we've gone from disco, with myself, just for nintendo to say "outrageous!"
grodus boogieing with all the other x nauts in one big moon rave.

This track's a banger at x0.75 speed. You really notice the extra instruments they add in each floor.
Holy crap you're so right that vibes so much harder than it should 🤣
Oh my god this goes so hard. Gotta be the best remade track out of them all.
A version with all the variants together playing at the same time would be cool
Dude agreed that's what I said in another video like this one 😂
Sublevel 3 voice slaps
This wouldn't be out of place in a tekken game
Karma be like
sublevel 3's "woah woah woah" made me think the exact same thing lol
Thank you for compiling all the versions in one! I couldn’t decide which one I liked more!
This song really got one of the biggest upgrades imo
Still sounds like I’d hear this in a Super Monkey Ball water/space level
Sublevel one is the best of the bunch, hands down.
Ngl, this one lacks the main oomf the og had. The funky jazz noises just dont hit as hard
i agree. these versions are still cool to see but the main one has so that oomf-effect and nostalgia...
AAAA it
"couldnt find an actually good upload of this song anywhere so i made my own enjoy" ahem........................
Best 🎉
So wait is it X Nauts or is it pronounced Cross Nauts? Like how the X Yux is technically the cross yux?

Whats the difference between each floor may I ask?
