WE ARE REPLACING THE OLD CROSS OVER STEERING THAT WE RECENTLY INSTALLED ON THIS OLD PICKUP. (The DOM tubing isn't included in this kit) YOU CAN ACTUALLY SAVE MONEY WITH THIS KIT, BY PURCHASING YOUR DOM TUBING LOCALLY. THE DOM TUBING IS ABOUT $18 FT. "GREATAUTODEALS" HAS A KIT WITH TUBING AVAILABE IF IT IS EASIER TO GO THAT ROUTE. THIS KIT WAS SUPPLIED BY EAST WAST OFFROAD PRODUCTS, E.W.O. May I ask why you got new knuckles after doing all the milling to the stock knuckles? Are these ones more heavy duty
Yes definitely, they are better. The mounting surface area for the arms are larger and have one more stud each side 4 studs instead of the 3. The old ones are fine but the new ones are better.
I typically hear about swapping steering box when going to crossover/high steer. What's the need for this? Will original box not work (with pitman arm repositioned)?
Hey there. Sorry, I did a brief explanation. The only difference between these 2 boxes, are the pitman shafts. The drop pitman arm that is needed for the conversion has a tapered splined shaft that only fits the 2 w/d steering box. The 4w/d box has a shaft that is completely different in that way. I hope this explains it better. Thank you for your comment.
@@Farm10customs got it, thanks for the explanation. I was confused because on my project I already have the tapered spline box, a previous owner much have swapped in a 2wd box already 🤷🏼♂️
