I honestly never close my service cart lid and didn’t intend to as I propped the Xtr Long box end ratchet wrenches on the hinge. In testing some Craftsman combination wrenches it would appear to not be able to keep them fully in the holder when closing the lid. I would not intend for this to be used when wanting to close the lid on a service cart.
That is very handy but you can use the free magnets the same way without putting holes in your tool box I did just take two of them and put them back to back and bolt them together to make one and they will be magnetic on both sides stick it on your box and fill it up I have several on mine.
there is nothing like an organized tool box. I love my american made Craftsman's from back in the day. I may pick up some of those organizers. Great vid
@@ClientGraphicsquestion. I saw you on Harbor Freight and glad you put your name in the video so I could find you here. Can I ask where you got those wrenches that you put on the magnetic holder and what brand they are? Also what brand are the magnetic socket holders next to the magnetic holder you’re talking about in this video. Not the black one on the left and the red ones on the right.
I have to go pick one of those up, exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m not clowning but, The music at the beginning of your videos makes me feel like I’m about to watch a very bad video in auto shop class LOL anyone who took auto tech courses back in the late 90s early 2000’s will know what I’m talking about.
Yea, it does kinda sound like music from those videos, but I say leave it. It immediately identifies the channel. Maybe make the intro slightly shorter.
Coincidentally, I'm about to head to HFT. Will take a look. I really like your extra long wrenches. Gotta get some, too. If you run out of video ideas, might be fun see your Chevelle.
Nice find! I've never seen or heard of this product - I see now that it just came out on the HF web site. I may have considered this one, but I just recently purchased 2 of the Torin magnetic stick racks. The Torins work great and look slick too - especially if you have a red cart. I initially picked up one of those free HF magnet rails, and was surprised to discover that they are only magnetized on one side! No bueno...and while you could bolt them on to your lid or bolt two of them back-to-back, I still don't like them. I don't want to drill into my lid, and two together are an inch thick - now add a tool and you may not be able to fully close your lid depending on how you have your cart loaded/organized. The Torin's are only just over a 1/4" thick.
a guy wrote that he gets the HF strips that come with 8 magnets in the track. he breaks the magnets out of the track and uses 1 magnet for 1 wrench. Is that better? kinda thinkin it is.
Would these magnets work if i were to take the same tool cart take the cart part off and bolt the box part to a flatbed on my truck? Or do you think the magnets would just fall off and I’m better off spending the money on a triangle box?
The GearWrench screwdrivers I picked up at Tractor Supply Company after Christmas. It came in a 6pc set item #88920 they are around $14.99 www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/gearwrench-6-piece-diamond-tip-screwdriver-set
Hey Chris please go to home depot and find the black 4 drawer cart, check it out good film it... and then do the same with the 4 and 5 drawer carts... and then if you can! find a cornwell and snap on not blue point cart that that would be an awesome video! I really suggest you scope out the home depot cart, I prefer it to the 5 drawer and 4 drawer from harbor freight. I like the evenly spaced drawers and the overall upper deck design.
Pawn shop has a MAC orange slide top full drawer cart for 1k and a Cornwell 100 anniversary black with blue hot rod for a little more $$. I’m looking at the 46 in. mobile workbench at the moment probably just cause Husky got in some New colors. Won’t get any but just lookin
I just went to hf for some of these, but I noticed that the magnetic was not holding well, by closest inspection discovered that they only use one magnet on one end of the bar ,so the bar is very weak on one side, on the ones that I saw
I have not tried the US General socket holders from Harbor Freight. I tried some of the older cheap blue and black plastic ones that were basically just cheap and told myself to stop looking at HF for socket holders of that type. Sounds like it hasn't changed.
B1G5L1M I would imagine that if you had two it would probably hold. I haven’t tried it but it’s highly likely it will hold. All the small stuff was fine, screwdrivers and extensions were good👌🏻
But can they hold a say your full set of Craftsman combo's when you close the lid? Honest question, I have a Waterloo Professional tool chest and would like to do that for my metric wrench set except be able to close the lid and have them stay attached to the lid. lol.
That’s a no go for this item with closing the lid. Just tried and it’s a hot mess of craftsman wrenches either sliding out or sliding out enough that it now acts like a lid prop keeping it open. Just looking how it’s closing two of these might solve the problem, but couldn’t justify the price as there are better full magnet mats or sounds like you need the heavy duty magnets bars and some 3m double sided body tape would be the cheapest route. HF sells the magnet bar item 62178 I honestly never close my service cart and didn’t intend to as I propped the Xtr Long box end ratchet wrenches on the hinge.
I tried these and the magnets and clips are weak af. I tried it with some of the harbor freight screwdrivers - their green ones that come in that 70 piece set or whatever.
Eric Townsley Just tried the 1/2” Pittsburgh Pro ratchet and while it just barely fit it’s so tight and bends the plastic that it will surely give out or snap the plastic. If not soon just a matter of it getting colder and snapping. I would say a no go on 1/2” ratchets
nitrous07me I have 3 of the free ones with 2 still in package. Got close to using one once but didn’t have double sided anything and one is definitely not enough.
NAPA Carlyle for both. One set is the 6-PC, 6pt Extra Long Double Box Ratcheting Metric Part #: CHT RWLB6M and the other is the 5PC XL Double Box Flex Ratcheting Wrench Set Part #: CHT RWLBFL5M
@@ClientGraphics Thank you love the vids keep them coming. Take a look at the 28 PC. 1/4" & 3/8" DRIVE BOLT BITER™ IMPACT EXTRACTION SOCKET SET. They are really nice like to know what you think.
Joe Atwork The extension and ratchets are fine when closing the xtr long ratcheting wrenches I never intend to close my lid as it’s open all the time. It’s a no go for most wrenches and trying to close the lid

Chemical Spore I always like organization that can provide more free space and utilize otherwise wasted space.

That looks fantastic and gives a lot more free space.
All you have to do is take 2 of the free strips, put them back to back and screw them together. I like it because the magnet is super strong...
Pro Tip- Take two of the free magnets and bolt them together. No drilling needed

Thanks for sticking around and watching. Glad to be of help! I wonder if anyone would complain if I changed that intro/outro music?

Id say they are worth having. Great video!
If u use the 3m bodyside tape u can still move it without a mark
If u still want to use the free magnets

Nice. Going to Harbor Freight today.
Frank Dee Hopefully they are in stock, make sure you have a 20% off coupon and your free item coupon
I was just looking at these today. It would be nice with the free one attached lower to steady things if you have to close the lid.
Greg Blau That might work 👍🏻
Or a second one of these at the bottom
Nice Video Chris 🍻👍
Justin Dow 👍🏻 Thanks for taking time to check out. Hope you have an awesome day.
Perfect. I didnt see these holders last time I was in HF. I didnt want to put holes or double sided tape on my lid either
There are a select few of use that don’t want holes or tape, cheers!

Turned out great Chris.
You can do it without holes, but this way is better for screwdrivers. But I am considering using it for extensions.

They are pretty cool!
Now I'll give those a shot. Them smooth versions harbor freight sells are garbage but the clipped version is a W.
I have those same screw drivers where did you get yours

ClientGraphics makes me think that some pawnshops work deals with tool truck owners, see a lot of new stock being sold by them on eBay.
Great item!
Great video brother

Will the more top heavy tools fall off when you close the lid? Or does the rack hold stiff in pretty good when something heavy is on it
I just returned 1/2 socket holder of same design. Some didn't hold sockets when locked. Might try this instead.
I have not tried the US General socket holders from Harbor Freight. I tried some of the older cheap blue and black plastic ones that were basically just cheap and told myself to stop looking at HF for socket holders of that type. Sounds like it hasn't changed.
Will the lid still close with these up there?
I suppose if a guy had two of those tool holders, you could have it situated so the wrenches would stay in place if you wanted to close the lid?
B1G5L1M I would imagine that if you had two it would probably hold. I haven’t tried it but it’s highly likely it will hold. All the small stuff was fine, screwdrivers and extensions were good👌🏻
Im going to make the plyer rack at HF magnetic too
What are the two wrench sets you put on the holder?
Carlyle
awesome
Where did you get the three layer foam socket set holders shown at 2:00
Sheri Schneider They are specific to the 1/4” and 3/8” socket sets from Motivx Tools and they can be found on Amazon or www.motivxtools.com/

Amen more room means more tools

Chris, what did you use to organize the sockets on top?
Sockets on the top are each on there own rail ranging from Craftsman to GearWrench to Husky and even Hypertough from Walmart.
Nice Review
The real test is whether you can still close the lid.
I keep kicking myself for not picking up that metric carlyle set on Q1 =/
It was such a killer deal that’s for sure. It’s a darn shame you didn’t get in on it.
Who makes those long wrenches?
Carlyle
Icon now
Great Vid!! Will these work with 1/2 ratchets??
