Hi, great channel. Can I ask a question? I note you use two-part Milliput for repairs, do you ever use air-dry materials from art shops? Is this a suitable material or are there disadvantages. Thank you :)
Hi Ali, I have been enjoying catching up on your videos. Only a year to go now. I have a question and a request for you today. Are you able to recommend an alternative to the Araldite 2020? That is a little pricey for a non professional. Would you please do a demonstration on how you deal with a crockery chip that has gone through gilding, especially the rim? Thanks.
@@theceramicrepairstudio Thank you for your answer. Of course as soon as I get ready to glue and glaze, it gets cold and wet. I have been going through your old videos. Just watched the one on brushes. You get down to your small no. 2 and I'm thinking: "not sure I have one that large". Too many years working on miniatures. 🤣
Check out my latest course for beginners in the description box ❤

Hello Ali,
Always nice to see a video from you... The sanding process nicely explained. See you on the next one.
Take care.
Paul,,
Hi Paul, many thank for your comment. 👍
I keep my various grits of sandpaper in file folders, so 40-100, 120-320, 400-600, 1000-3000.
Great idea!
when you sand, you also scratch the original glaze. how do you deal with that ?
You has to go lighty when it is almost fully sanded with a very fine sandpaper or Micomech.

Hi there, so pleased you enjoy the channel. I tend to use Milliput as it is easy to use.🙂

Hi there, I would use the ordinary glue slow curing Araldite glue. I will also look at doing a gilding video soon.
Please let me know how you get on
