From an intewju in Norway before the concert (with google translator.....): Angelina Jordan (17) is currently visiting Norway where she is preparing a concert and projects with the Broadcasting Orchestra (KORK).
The artist with the extraordinary voice and unique style hosts TV 2 in Frogner together with her mother Sara and sister Juliette, where she rehearses and plans projects with KORK that will come soon.
We have worked together before and it has been incredibly great and we have many exciting projects underway with KORK, says Angelina.

At the age of just seven, Jordan took the stage for the first time in the TV 2 program "Norske Talenter" in 2014. Her interpretation of "Gloomy Sunday" by Billie Holiday made an indelible impression on both judges and viewers, and she walked away with the victory in the competition.
Next year it will be ten years since her victory in the program, and she still remembers well how she experienced it.
It was incredibly cool to be allowed to sing the classic jazz songs of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald and make it my own. I think people probably listened to it and then I got a lot of younger people inspired by the music. I felt I made 100-year-old jazz music relevant again, says Jordan to TV 2.
International recognition
Angelina Jordan's voice was quickly recognized as something special. Her deep, mature voice stands out for her age, and her ability to convey emotion through song has been a key to her appeal.
After the victory in "Norske Talenter", Jordan continued to build her musical career, and she began to receive attention outside Norway's borders. Her participation in the American television competition "America's Got Talent" in 2020 led to even greater international success and attention.
She now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her.
I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. There will also be a lot of concerts in the future because I have released an EP. I will soon go on a world tour and play my songs, she says to TV 2.
New music
Angelina has released a new EP entitled "Old enough", which contains six exciting new songs. In her own studio in Los Angeles, she has been given peace and quiet to create new music

Sang for fotballstjerner
I februar i år dukket plutselig Jordan opp på prisutdelingen «The best FIFA Football Awards» for å opptre for verdens største fotballstjerner.
Hun sang sangen «We are the best», men savnet Erling Haaland i salen, forteller hun:
- What happened was that I met Messi and Mbappe after the concert and it was great. Erling Haaland is my favorite player now. He was actually supposed to come to the show, but couldn't. When I was asked by a journalist who I was the biggest fan of, I of course answered Haaland, she says.
Versatile artist
Angelina Jordan is good at promoting herself and gets a lot of help from her uncle, Michael Astar.
He has spent a long time finding the right partners for a deal in the US after his niece's sensational appearance on "America's Got Talent" in the New Year.
Social media is also important to Jordan, but she also points a finger at far too much focus on it.

The philosopher Peter Singer has emphasized that our moral responsibilty in life goes beyond helping those in need right in front our eyes in close proximity to acknowledging the plight of people all over the world no matter how far away or out of sight they might be.
Whether they are a close friend or a distant stranger we must all do what we can to help those who suffer or are less fortunate.
AJ's constant message of love and kindness coupled with the symbol of her barefeet continues to remind us of this duty and not close our eyes to the family of man as we struggle in our own daily existence.
Hopefully the recognition of this Peace Prize will help reunite Narges Mohammadi with her family one day and see her vision of every person being free to pursue their dreams become a reality. ❤

Leo, I am so glad you presented Narges Mohammadi's story to your audience before Angelina sang because her song, 'Unchained Melody', was very appropriate and I believe Angelina must have chosen this song to sing. She was wonderful and who better than her to deliver the message of love to those in need. And, I think you are on to something about her beautiful appearance. Her tiara, her glaringly beautiful white gown and always the love and spirit we hear in her voice most definitely portrayed 'Lady Liberty' standing in the New York harbor for the world to see and feel her love and compassion. Leo, we know she will be 18 in January and I believe 2024 will be the moment when Angelina will be officially presented to the world and all it's people. Albums, Concerts, televised appearances, on music radio stations in Countries all around the world, EVERYONE will know who Angelina Jordan is. She is ready. She has been preparing for this moment since she was a child. Fame and fortune will come but those of us who know her understand that is not her priorities. Thank you Leo for putting this outstanding performance from Angelina with KORK orchestra into perspective. Many people don't know or take the time to look further and inform themselves about who Narges Mohammadi is and why she was awarded the prize.
I would add her twin daughter and son were present to receive the award and also during Angelina's performance, as was Narges husband.
As you said, I think there isn't a better person/singer than Angelina to transmit the emotion, sensibility, class and empathy the occasion and honoree deserved. At one point, I felt she turned the song into a prayer. Truly out of this world ♥
Who chose the song? It might have been Angelina herself because she has been singing it many times, the last being in her Portsmouth concert this year.

The comparison to the Statue of Liberty is an interesting thought. I haven't even thought of that - but it would be more than appropriate. It seems Vana Perisa did a good job with hairdo and outfit.
Angelina was so into communicating the soul of this song, identifying with Narges Mohammadi... I just realized that she was not wearing her blue-eyed contact lenses and had dark eye shadow. You said she was statuesque. I would say even more... she looked and acted like a Queen of Persia. IMHO, her best performance to date.

Thank you for pointing out the full context and importance of this performance. The regime put Narges Mohammadi on trial again today for her continued resistance. At the ceremony, her children read a speech that their mother wrote for the event in which she predicted that Iranians would "dismantle obstruction and despotism through their persistence". And you're not wrong about her looking like the status of liberty 😊 I just saw an angel, her wings on her side and a halo around her face 😊

Angelina at her best (and as far as I can see without the blue contact lenses -but her beautifull brown eyes) - and the fabulous KORK orchestra (Norsk Kringkasting orkester = Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra): I hope she will continue with classic covers in addition to her own compositions. I can Reassure you, Angelina doesn’t improve her singing on Special Occasions Only. She gives her best no matter where the venue is. She would not be fair to her listening audience. The Musicians on the other hand, do make a big difference on the overall song. Angelina absolutely always gives the very best performance she can. This may come across as Negative on my part, and I apologize as it’s not my intent.
