Amazing footage and riding as always, Chris! Unfortunately, the new RUclips compression makes videos look terrible... hoping another platform can deliver footage as it was intended to look.
I smile when I watch your videos as much as I do when I ride . I even got an 890r after watching your videos and absolutely love the bike . I swear it makes me a better rider lol
These trails looks absolutely epic. I'm based in Wellington and the ferry's are a joke these days, but it's definitely on my bucket list to take a ride through some of the spots you've shown - with permission and guidance, of course.
Same here....PLUS the fact that I haven't ridden dirt on a regular basis since '91 (though I've still been riding sportbikes)....so, I'm DEFINITELY a noob! At this point in my life (59) I'm now more all about just "Dirt Touring" long distances and seeing the sights I CAN'T get to on my sportbike, rather than doing the difficult stuff where you might do 30mi/day. Awesome to watch Birchy and friends though, something to aspire to! As I get my "dirt legs" back, I'll probably challenge myself more.
@@kx8960 im 55 , ive had street bikes in the past even a brand new honda 1100XX at one time in my garage but truth be told while i had that bike i also had a beat to hell XR650L that i wound up riding alot more then the XX , USFS roads and Mt passes are my thing , old enough to be over the single track which i never likes as much as the USFS roads but i live in the NW so i am in a great area for off road travel and exploration
@@justsomedude445 Nice! Been working on both bikes as a "staycation" this year for Memorial Day. I would LOVE to have a good riding partner, but, since I'm the anomaly at my age and single, most people I know and of my temperament are married with kids and grandkids. The single guys are in their 20'-30's and I don't have too much in common with them. I did almost all my riding in the desert of SoCal in the '80's to '91 when I moved, so, I'm more into the higher speed open desert stuff anyways. So, the dirt here and in UT are pretty perfect for my likes. I DO love mountain dirt roads/tracks (I'm from CO), but not the muddy tough single track where you're fighting just to stay upright all day. Dirt Touring is my thing now, with a hotel with AC and shower at the beginning and end of every day, and usually a hot tub and pool to relax in at night with a bourbon.
I think she does a very respectable job. Riding rocks and river crossings all day would probably have you pretty tired out. I’m surprised there weren’t more crashes and drown bikes from the whole party with the depth of water and that heavy current. Kudos to all of the riders. Well done!
I've been binge watching your vids. You're awesome - keep it up.
I never saw Chris Birch in trouble, always a piece of cake... amazing! Thanks for the video!
My local anti dirt and scratch motorcycle contingent is having a stroke just watching this video, 😆.
Great video and such fun times. Still amazed by that little 390. Can't wait to ride with you again soon🤙🏼
They are an impressive bike eh!
You're a machine Chris. Great video.
Excelent water fording!...and those high speed willies also!. Hey Chris...you have to explain that motorcycle undrowning technique...please!
Amazing adventure! I’m glad you took us with you :D
Looks like you kept the rads clean and the engines cool ❤
After all the mud on the previous days it was good to give them a clean out!

They really need to get the ferry’s sorted. It’s a mess
390 is a beast 😊!! Awsome vidio 🤩💯💥
Great vid. Good to see your going to ABR festival in the uk.
That 390 was getting it done. Very nice!
Nice to see 390 there
That lady does an awesome job. All of the people I ride with would turn around at the first river 😅
Sou fã do Chris Birch, da KTM, e seria um sonho poder dar um rolê com ele e as motokas num lugar tão bacana como este
Say no to drown motorcycles!😂❤
gotta be honest i ride alone 90% of the time and id have been looking for a way around some of that water instead of crossing it , or turning back

I love seeing noobies learning the ropes!
And Chris flexing his skills at the end.

that lady 👍
I wouldn't have the confidence to ride through the water especially on my 1290
So why is everyone sitting down?
Send in a probe 😂😂😂
what a machine, drowned and still started.
I didn't know KTM made boats🤔
Jet ski's with wheels 😁
Looks ez
And there will STILL be KTM haters out there saying the electrics are sh*t!
Japanese ftw u know it
Ah the pleasure we get from our CO2-pumping machines. Shame they also raise the planetary temperature.....ah well, best not to think about that.
