As a Sedona/Verde Valley local who rides dual sports and adventure bikes, welcome to the area. That loop you rode up to Jerome is a fun one, and thankfully you usually don’t run into a lot of other people out there. There’s another way down bypassing Jerome that’s a rough Jeep trail with great scenery and some exposure. There are a dozen more fun rides, many with even better views.
I bet you know some good trails up around the area. I've been up there a few times starting from Cordes Jct. Which jeep trail are you referring to that bypasses Jerome with great scenery and exposure? I'm going to ride that area next weekend and wondered about that bypass you mention. Thanks in advance, grtdanes!
@@onthethrottle7104 it’s hard to tell by the video, you may have ridden part of it. There are two ways to get down from the back side of Mingus Mountain. One is following FR132 to FR413 to FR104 to hwy89 down to Jerome. I assumed you went that way since you stopped in Jerome. The other way is 132 to 413 to Allen Springs rd which takes you down a rough narrow Jeep trail down the front of the mountain and you come out by the Cottonwood airport.
@@grtdanes0012 Thanks for the information! Very timely as I'm going to ride in the area this weekend. I have not gone down the Allen Springs rd. so I'm going to check this out on my map. Thanks a ton! Much appreciated.
how challenging was this ride? 1[novice skill]-10[graham jarvis skill.) Ignoring 8:00 and 10:20 this seems super do-able (like a 4/10 w/o, 6/10 with the time codes)
I was in that area with my RV two months ago with my kids riding motorcycles, the area is Prescott Valley mostly the north west. Is hi desert, that’s why no cactuses. Many place to ride as there is a lot of National Forest and State Land.
Fantastic. And (obligatory) note to self - just because Chris rides something on an 890, doesn't mean I can. Thanks for the inspiration!
Awww yeah! Welcome to AZ Chris! Fun watching you and the beast ride around like a boss in our backyard! 👍✌
I was anxious and worn out just watching. It is so fun watching someone with your level of talent. Thank you!!!
That line choice at 11:45 and the jump up from the rock to the boulder is crazy impressive. Amazing riding!
Always a pleasure to watch Chris on the adventure bike in technical terrain. Awesome!
Those giggles let you know the enjoyment factor is high!
Just fantastic and awesome to watch!!
Is there a part 2? That’s only half way to crown king. Hope you enjoyed a cold one at the top.
Love to see how far ahead you are looking for lines. Awesome spot on that rock to use as a kicker up the left🤙🏼
A.W.E.S.O.M.E !!...that's control Chris!, beautiful trails!, what a fun day you guys had!
Fantastic ride. Jerome is awesome. This is a trail for the dedicated Enduro rider!
Awesome rides. Quite impressive handling that big bike through some of that terrain, and big HP.
Fantastic video, amazing how you ride that beast!! 💪💪🏁🏁
Awesome stuff Chris 👌
Watch out for that AXP skid plate Chris!
Like the 'riding up a rocky stream , feet up' in recognition of the SSDT.
Good riding Chris . And watch for rattles

Very impressive riding skills as always Chris! Do you have a video that describes the body armor you wear from head to toe?
What a ride!
Good stuff mate
Yeah!
hoping this is for preriding a KTM rally for the US
If youre still in AZ on June 4th come on up to Flagstaff for the Kelly Canyon enduro 👍
Nice video like always Chris! One question, whats you config in the gopro for filming? Looks awesome 😮
Hi Chris did you have stock suspension or a set of cone valves in this video. Looked a bit like stock or at least not cone valves
Any plans to bring your SNTS schools to Canada?
Was that adventure riding or trials riding?
Do you always run 30 PSI?
Hey Chris what tires are you running in this video?
I shouldn’t say, but they rhyme with traction hater. Not my ideal tyre.
@@ChrisBirchNZ haha well what is your favorite offroad tire that you can recommend?
