    Mi padre combatiò en esa guerra, era un oficial cubano. No caigo en disputas ideológicas. El siempre me habló con respeto del ejercito sudafricano y de sus soldados. Aunque si enemigos en el campo de batalla, solo en el campo de batalla, sintió siempre respeto e incluso admiración por aquellos valerosos soldados. Honor y respeto de mi parte para todos los que combatieron , especialmente los que cayeron en aquella guerra.

      Hola compatriota, yo tengo primos que participaron en la guerra de Angola. Con el paso del tiempo está más que claro que Cuba al igual que Sudáfrica participaron en un conflicto interno angolano, cada uno apoyando a un bando contrario, con la diferencia que Cuba, un país pobre y sin recursos, se desangró luchando en tierras muy lejanas, en un conflicto que no representaba ningún interés para el cubano común, mientras Sudáfrica luchaba para mantener un aliado vital como Namibia en su vecindario y para alejar el peligro del comunismo, en teoría al menos. Saludos.

    • @yasalc
      @yasalc 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@juanmar4712 Hola un saludo compatriota. Concuerdo con lo que dices, en cuanto a la guerra en Angola y que fuera vencida o no, no cambiaba nada al cubano común o a Cuba. Se podía no intervenir en esa guerra, no Cuba al menos que es un pequeño país. Pero atrás de cada guerra hay intereses políticos que no eran solo los de Cuba. Nuestro país se desangró sí, per la demografía y economia fue una cosa inmensa, descomunal, obviamente las armas las metía la URSS y todo el material pero los hombres los ponia Cuba. Sudáfrica luchaba para parar el comunismo o algo similar y las intenciones de independencia. Namibia, si no he leído mal en esa época era una colonia, no era un país independiente, era la última colonia en Africa, si no leí mal. Ahora si era mejor o peor para ellos no lo sé, conozco poco de Namibia pero creo que para los pobres allí cambió poco, siguen siendo pobres. Mi padre estuvo en esa guerra y tambien el esposo de mi tía, por suerte regresaron vivos y sanos, espero también tus primos. Muchos no regresaron o lo hicieron mutilados o enfermos.

My oorlede man was in Walvisbaai gestasioneer en my twee broers wat nou alreeds oorlede is was ok op grens. Well spoken sir. The Afrikaner people will rise again. Forget all the stuff about the rainbow nation. It never existed. Only a white/Afrikaner dominated state guarantees the future of European civilisation in South Africa. Orania magnified 1,000 times. Western nations are heading for the same crisis as South Africa as a result of mass, unassimmable immigration from the third world. The USA will break up and be partitioned by the middle of the 21st century and Europe will be engulfed in massive ethnic strife. Separate Development and self government is the only way forward for all mankind because national identity is the ultimate stuff of politics since it poses the most fundamental question of all "Who do you think you are"?

    Awesome sounding song, but you may not have noticed it's actually pro communist and not pro democracy. Van Owen is obviously a fictional South African because Roland 'blew him to... Johannesburg'. Roland wasn't South African, he was a fictional mercenary from Denmark. And at the idea at the end about Patty Hearst, who was real, is that 'she bought it', as in, she joined the communist cause, she fell for their 'smart' propoganda. I think the SADF did a stirling job and weren't as bad as everyone made them out to be. Nobody is perfect, but you can see the difference between those who want evil to persist and those who are defending freedom of choice within the bounds of human goodness. Communism is just foundationless, 'might is right'. Hard to find modern remixes of the best of these songs. This is so catchy!

    Served myself in the REAL army ---- not this fuckup of today ----- was so proud to have lived through those years ---- infantary school JL Oudtshoorn ---- there after BATS ---- altogether 9 years PF ---- were active in 4 OPS into Angola ---- including the 3 rd of October ----- an army with pride and honour ----- was at a SHOW OF FORCE at Luatla once and overheard the then main manne of the DEFENCE FORCE (JANNIE GELDENHUYS/CONSTANT VILJOEN/JAN BREYTENBACH/KAT LIEBENBERG/EDDIE VILJOEN talking about this mayhem and the chaos the "new" democracy of the ANC would bring ---- back in those years they new about the fall of this proud nation ---- they knew --- the day our flag changed colours the brotherhood and peace turned into resentment and hate ---- the complete infrastructure of this once honourable nation has become totally derelict ---- not a day goes by that i don't dream about those days ---- sometimes even shed a tear or two ---- i am now 66 and probably approaching the "afterlife" ---- but if I die i want to go back to my brothers which served with me --- not to heaven
