I would definitely add Penumbra, Trail of tears, Eternal tears of sorrow and early After forever, Within temptation, Epica to that mix! There's way more...Mortal love, Elegeion, Nemesea, Autumn, Galadriel, Even vast, Therion at some point, early Lacrimas profundere....more doomy things like Draconian.... This 'gothic' thing is not really made anymore.
I am glad you added penumbra to that list.. if you have not heard of Beseech try them.. also Draconian cannot stay behind. Beseech I know you will like .start with songs like Addicted and Higher level. Thank me later.@@PainInTheS
I loved The Sins of Thy Beloved, along with Within Temptation, Epica and MY Favorite Tristania. You guys should definitely check out some Tristania as well. I kinda prefer the professional recordings as opposed to the live performances purely for sound quality but check out any of these from Tristania... My Lost Lemore, ...Of Ruins And A Red Nightfall, Angina, Tender Trip On Earth, Lethean River, Aphelion or Beyond The veil. You won't be disappointed.
All I can tell is get all their albums and ep's!!! Only the last one or 2 aren't that interesting maybe....the rest, especially first 2, is pure gold. And the brain behind the band started a new band called Sirenia....especially the 1st and also 2nd album are must-haves! He came a bit close again with a solo sidestep called 'Mortemia'. Now the violin player, Pete Johansen really adds to the music, so therefore the 2 albums from The Sins of thy beloved should be on your list too!
Great Video!!...I liked so much this Band in earlier 2000s...And the members were like Slipknot: two synths, two Guitar players, two Vocalists, one playing this another playing that etc...
My husband is the drummer, thank you for this reaction
Oh my gosh! can I have his social media?
@@lorcan8484 Unfortunately he does not accept friend requests from strangers, but we have a 90s gothic metal band together called Morke :)
Ohhh great !!Stig johanssen' band ...Morke...and a great drummer ..the sins of thy beloced...Best ever Doom metal!!!
Much love from México.
Really??? I really have a question is the violinist his older brother?
The sins of thy beloved, Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania and Sirenia.. The Kings of Gothic Metal.
Hands down

@@dantekasuo13 Know the name but somehow not familiar with them.....will try. 👍
Anita Auglend is the singer has very very soft but powerful character, just very sad that the band was broke apart.
I also recommend "Mournful euphony" and "lake of sorrow" from the same concert
Pandemonium too
and All alone
Saddly the band doesn't exist anymore :/ this kind of music is dead nowadays. Gothic - Doom - Metal is not what is used to be years ago
All Alone is the song to hear, can appreciate more Anitas vocals
Damn it...you two are the first i recon to react to this Legend of a Band....i am so gratefull to you!
The sins of thy beloved ...forever!!! The Best Doom Gothic metal ...of all times!!!

Their first album should be remastered!
I knew this band in 2007-08. Weird to see people smiling to the song. It is more of a serious band that needs to be treated as sacred.
very unrated goth band from Bryne, Norway. too sad they stopped in 2013
Well, it was actually 2008.
There was news they reunited a few years back....but nothing came out of that I guess.
The Singer is fucking good
