- A special tribute video commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the “The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse” which premiered on this day in 1921. The film catapulted Rudy’s career and was the top-grossing film of 1921. We are forever grateful to screenwriter June Mathis for discovering Rudy in the “Eyes of Youth” (1919), and for giving Rudy his big break even when others were against her. We also must remember Beatrice Dominguez, who famously danced the tango with Rudy in the film. Sadly she passed at the age of 24 from a ruptured appendix 100 years ago. May they All Rest in Peace. I can't think of any man, who lived a hundred years ago, long gone but so much alive, it proves that God is perfection, beauty, passion, kindness and a soft heart, it does not get any better. Rudy one day everything will come out in the open, and we will all know what really happent in our lives, and I do believe that we meet again.....until then R.I.P. Darling Rudy.....

Thank you for this beautiful tribute video. I saw “The Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse” several years ago at Birmingham Symphony Hall where Carl Davis was conducting the orchestra. My mother was a passionate admirer of Rudolph Valentino, she was of his time. Many years later I became totally captivated by this star of the silver screen. He was the reason I began dancing tango. So very beautiful, elegant and a very fine actor, no actor today has the class of Valentino and neither do they have his classic beauty.

The scene in the four horsemen when Rudy kisses Alice Terry's headress in my opinion is the most beautiful moment I've ever seen on film .

Finalmente Los cuatro jinetes del apocalipsis se hizo famosa por la interpretacion de Rodolfo Valentino en su papel de Julio Desnoyers con la escens del Tango, su sencillez y arrogancia a la vez.
Y lo mas curioso del dato es que era un papel secundario.

Hmmn, so in the year that motion pictures were considered "born" in film history, Rudy came into the world also. Somehow I don't think that was merely a coincidence. El animo, el deseo, el tiempo, la vida, su vida todo a su favor le dieron un lugar importante en la historia. Una vida llena de deseos por demosrrar. El inicio de la vida y el final con la muerte.

@@jeanbaumgartner4052 I didn't think Jean ever was an actor himself, was he? He didn't seem interested in being an actor, but was more interested in being a sound technician in movies and t.v.! And I didn't know he was a producer as well? I did see at least one of the episodes of "Twilight Zone" that he worked on. At the end of the episode, in the credits, there was a person with a very familiar name, "J. Valentino"! 😉He wasn't in the cast, but was listed as the Sound Technician/Sound Director. I didn't catch the title of the episode, though.
