I grew up in Crown Point, IN where the two of them married. There was a place called Valentino's Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor in the courthouse where the ceremony took place. It closed in 2015. It's a historical building now.
I had 4 great aunts...wish they were here to tell me what they all thought of Him.in high school & my precious grandmom too her sisters.....im sure crazy bout Him!!!.....

Is she ever mean looking, though I know how talented she was. Winifred Shaughnessy was a dedicated workaholic who found her true calling later in life studying Egyptology. I admire both of them very much. But he was the entertainer, not her.

I think that you would be surprised to know that my dear grandmother who had 8 children in her lifetime once babysat Rudolph Valentino. He had a very long name and his first name was not Rudolph. I’m a grandmother now myself and my grandmother passed away many years ago when she was in her nineties. I could never talk to her because she only spoke Italian and I only spoke and knew English. Can you imagine how much I missed by not being able to converse with her.
Such a pity we don’t have a full dance routine from the mineralava tour. Considering how popular Valentino was the absence of such is a complete mystery to me.

Hi! Well for sure this Rudy Portrait is startling (to say the least) because the pic is so well preserved, clear, and in pristine condition! Our Subject's head is not in an absolute side position (where we would have easily seen Rudy's charismatic "nose" profile) but is turned slightly to a 3 quarter view towards us, thereby hiding his protruding nose a bit. But those "eyes & eyebrows" are Unmistakably Rudy's! His Woman Natacha Rambova was a Gifted Costume/Fashion Designer and I believe she helped shaped Rudolph Valentino's Lady Killing Style from her own "Wet Dream Meltdown" thoughts of how a Man should look. I bet she's the one who ripped off the black Living Room Drape Curtain Cords and affixed them to Rudy's Hat and Shirt Collar! Hi! Well for sure this Rudy Portrait is startling (to say the least) because the pic is so well preserved, clear, and in pristine condition! Our Subject's head is not in an absolute side position (where we would have easily seen Rudy's charismatic "nose" profile) but is turned slightly to a 3 quarter view towards us, thereby hiding his protruding nose a bit. But those "eyes & eyebrows" are Unmistakably Rudy's! His Woman Natacha Rambova was a Gifted Costume/Fashion Designer and I believe she helped shaped Rudolph Valentino's Lady Killing Style from her own "Wet Dream Meltdown" thoughts of how a Man should look. I bet she's the one who ripped off the black Living Room Drape Curtain Cords and affixed them to Rudy's Hat and Shirt Collar! well now we can tell who's just getting started..y'see...lots of us Rudy fans have been staring at his face and body and movements ...it's starts out magnetic...hours go by..these days you hit replay whereas once up a hundred years ago you just went to see The Sheik at the movie theatre again and again...finding yourself compelled, drawn and then you lose it...past the point of no return...and you wind up like us with his image imprinted in your brain and etched into your heart you'd be able to spot him through a wall...even beyond the veil of death and eternal time...we will always see Rudolph Valentino. ps. you're just not used to profile pictures yet...this one of Valentino is even better than the so called Great Profile John Barrymore no comparison!
