Yes, it is important even for street vehicles and my uncle (owns a trans shop and builds race and street units) insisted I change out the dipstick on my 79 C20 to a locking type. It has a well built, for Komnifornia, 406 sbc and I used it for towing, work, and just driving around. He said it isn't uncommon to hear about a trans puking out of the dipstick.

The event seemed like it was 2/3rds track cleanup from people breaking, I really appreciate that he took the time to install the belly pan and fire suppression.. him and 1 other person were the only ones that I saw blow up that had a diaper/belly pan out of countless other oil downs

That's really cool that you had a FSS installed. Fire suppression systems are really cool and under rated. Yes, they add weight, but they can really help safety for the driver, and anyone who might have to try and pull a driver out of a burning car and out out a fire on a burning car. That's really cool that you had a FSS installed. Fire suppression systems are really cool and under rated. Yes, they add weight, but they can really help safety for the driver, and anyone who might have to try and pull a driver out of a burning car and out out a fire on a burning car.
