Few addendum items for those building one.
    1. The sxr1500 throttle cable will not work if you are using the cdk kiehn carbs that come with the 1100. The inner cable is not long enough. You will need a 1100stx cable (carb model not DI) zxi cable will not fit.
    2. You must use sxr 1500 couplers and damper the 1100 ones will not lineup.
    3. Put the motor and driveshaft in first (leave bulkhead boltsloose) then put the pump in last. Then align and silicone in your bulkhead bearing.

TOP video man, really thanks for share all this process!
It's nice to see how the 2 stroke 1100 can survie on the 1500 hulls..
Just a quick question, and maybe because of the video..
It is just my sensation that the inlet/impeller is loosing speed or something? Looks not so fast as expected. Maybe is just this bad feedback from the video.
Anyway, congrats for this super detailed video. Apreciated.
    Regards from Spain ;)!

Absolutely the wrong pitch its only hitting 58mph and it instantly hits rpm limit. Ill be ordering a steeper pitch soon.
But im kinda loving the low end thrust this provides, and 58mph is plenty fast to learn the ski on first. It makes it playful like a superjet

I desperately need a folding rear boarding step on my 1500 SXR. No one will attempt it because of the exhaust in the way. Can't there be a way to get around the exhaust? Possibly use the same format and fabricate the installation to go around the exhaust pipe somehow? If you can do this project it could be mind-blowing for all the big fat riders like myself that love the ski but can't use it far from shallow water! Please tell me what you think.

i put it in the video . ruclips.net/video/q1SQI6WRs9o/видео.html
ive been trying new jetting since the video was posted though. it was quite a bit off.
      im now doing
85 main 120p. 2.0 ns 95 g spring. havent tried it yet though so ill know come summer time how this new config fairs.
the first jetting from the video was way too On/Off style. and it literally thrusted my arms off. I had no cruize speed. it was basically just max speed or nothing. Im trying to smooth that out.

@@stewartsskirestorationhub Gotcha, yeah what jet maniac recommended is close to what others have told me. i was going to try 110 H 120 L 2.3 115g but may try something else. I think the reverse jetting people are recommending is from the guys racing these 1100 swaps. I agree a smoother pull less jerky is better for this build. Thank you for the info! How much did it end up costing? Purchase price of hull and everything you did to it. Seems like you're in the ballpark of what a stock 1500 runs speed wise. Gotta be a bunch lighter. 100lbs? Plus, when rebuild time comes around, you'll be way ahead dollar wise. Great job!

    • @stewartsskirestorationhub
      @stewartsskirestorationhub  4 месяца назад +1

6700$ on the dot. It could have been much cheaper, but the vforce, mikuni carbs, cf hood, bilet pole drove up the price.... lol.
So in retrospect should have i bought a used 1500sxr for like 8k? Propably... but i like doing these things.
But yeah, the light hull and s appy 2 stroke honestly makes this thing fun.
My budy has a 1500sxr and he loves mine... almost like a different ski entirely. More playful

But i also went from a 110p to 120p and now a 125p and im noticing im going the opposite direction it needs to.
I may try going back to 110p. 95m. 2.0ns. 95g spring. And try that out next.
Im currently on 95m. 125p. 95g spring 2.0 ns . With 7/8 out on low. And 1/4 out high.
High feels insanely perfect now but low feels very doggy.
