For people saying its slow: this is a car that weighs over 2 ton and is over 5 meteres long. The engine was made to be perfectly balanced with only 320-340 hp(you could always tune it ofcourse since it had alot of power left in the reserve), it has really good fuel economy and its a really reliable engine because they didnt force it, thus why so little hp. Many of them made over 500-600,000 kms and are proven to be extremily good engines. The thing about them is they had alot of NM (since its a diesel) and they were really good for towing. Please also keep in mind this was an engine for Europe, where everything is expensive, so dont compare it to diesel engines you get in America because its 2 very different markets. At last, if this wasnt enough for you Audi offered a V12 TDI with 500 hp and close to 1000 nm (which was understated and could easily be tuned) or switch to petrol(Petrol mainly sold in America, in Europe Q7 diesel sales made around 90% of total sales, so nobody really wanted a petrol in this type of vehicle)
Thats true, i own one, tuned for 397 hp and 870 NM, the people saying its slow are either trolls or complete ignorants. I know it could be way faster with a dual clutch gearbox but nothing here in Europe compares with a 6 speed tiptronic when it comes to withstanding a high torque. Even the V12 Q7 used the 6 speed one, when every other facelift was already equipped with 8-speed

Put a 3.0TFSI in Q7 or A8 bitch
