Thanks for posting. I'm looking at this and the Skydio 2 to track us on longboards. Skydio 2 production is delayed though, so might wait for Mavic Pro 3 to see what it can do. Really wanting OA sensors all around.
Your welcome. Yeah it's a big step forward. Add side sensors and refine the algorithm a bit and it will be impressive, maybe even Skydio good (which is dang good). Pretty incredible tech age we live in.
This is the best test i ever seen in youtube about active track. kudos .... does this one follow you from front? All i can see lill bit footage. could you test it more from front please.
I definately will test further, thanks for your kind words. Generally I think it prefers tracking from behind, especially at speeds faster than walking. Will add some more front shots in the next vid
Very good video sir! One quick question if you don’t mind : what mode do you use for the shot at 5:32? The drone seems to follow you while being in stationary mode. How do you do that?
Thanks for the compliment 👍 That shot you referenced is using the "spotlight" feature. As you noticed it essentially tracks you like Active Track but the drone remains under control. In this case I just let it sit above the ground, but you could perform a descent or ascent which would add a nice dynamic to the shot as well. Thanks for watching!
Great Job and footage, thanks for your work! I have a ski trip in 2 moths and looking for a drone with goooood tracking mode, will Air 2 deal with it? Saw some footage and really important if its able to go down while traking body, what do you think about it?
Hey thanks for the compliment! I'd say the MA2 can definitely track you down a hill. You can see in my other Active Track vid (ruclips.net/video/N2AMN8SGyPs/видео.html) the first shot I go down a pretty steep hill and it manages very well. But, the problem you will probably run into is speed. To ensure all the avoidance sensors work you need to keep it in Normal mode which limits the speed it can track. I've found over 30-35km/hr it starts to fall behind a bit. Not sure how fast you ski downhill but I'm guessing faster than this. That said you could use Sports mode to follow you, but you'll have no obstacle avoidance. Good luck
Hey mate, I haven't had a chance to test the Skydio drone. From what I've seen on RUclips it is even better than Active Track 3 on the Mavic Air 2. That said, I think the footage of the Mavic is nicer to my eyes.
@@JoeFourMan It's possible to manually position the camera sideways using long touch on the screen. The drone can then fly "forwards" whilst tracking sideways.
@@Silverginger This is a great tip, I'm going to try this for sure. Let's hope the drone follows this behavior and doesn't swivel itself once it is automatically tracking. Thanks for the idea!
Agreed. If you use the orbit feature you can kind of.. persuade it to stay more in front, but not ideal. I'm going to test it again, perhaps starting further away but in front
This is the best ActiveTrack 3.0 test I've seen so far. Thanks man!
My pleasure, thanks for checking it out.
It does an amazing job of tracking.
Very happy with it so far
Nice review and nice kata seinchin. 😎
Hehe appreciate it mate :) Osu
Best video I've seen on active track. Thanks a ton!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is The best test iv seen on them sensors man, awesome job
Thanks mate :)
Excellent footage. I love this Drone!
Me toooo! Appreciate the comment 👍

Great video 🔥🔥🔥🎭 do more
Thanks mate! I plan on doing more soon once I heal a few injuries :)
How fast were you able to go in open space while it was following you?

@@JoeFourMan Thank you very much! Will think then hah
I just wonder, while drone are tracking u parallel, if any tree or an object appears what will happen ?
Unless the object is picked up the the front sensors it WILL crash. Watch my Temple video for a prime example haha.
Well Done Thumbs up,👍😀 new sub
What is better this one or skydio 2

Wow that is so cool the way it follows you great footage my friend stay in touch with my channel a big like from me
No side sensors? Both Orbit and Parrallel spend most of the time going sideways 💀
Very true. I carefully choose when to use those modes because of this. Plan your shots and you should be right.

tracking in front was not really good,

What the fuck was that weird movement at the beginning 😒?
Perhaps you are elegantly referring to the kata being performed? Kata is part of the syllabus from the Goju Karate system of training.
