This is super simple to do. The only down fall is that it is only 72v and 50ah. Which is not much. I have a feeling this is not to be used all the time. If someone wanted to use it all the time then stripping out the weight and adding lithium only batteries would make it far better. Not sure the top speed on this would be. Yet there are cheap options out there. A super light weight car could be used and you could have a nice electric car.

Both Jerry's and CC's Jeep electric conversions looks really awesome, The difference is CC's conversion is very simple and Jerry's conversion is more proper. Either way, i love both.

Yes people this dude just basically showed you what he could do with limited resources, now you got the idea go ahead an make your own even better if you are lucky enough to have better parts or the $"s to improve on this great little conversion . Well done old mate good on you for having a go.

Would be hard to keep the clutch. But since it's a electric motor it is easy to rev match your gears to shift and the electric motor can't stall like a gas engine so really no need for a clutch as long as you can rev match your speed to the gear your trying to use.

Looks great but my design was different. Years ago I wanted to do this but the batteries just weren't good enough. My design was to first build a bell-housing adapter. The electric motor and transmission would then become one unit. My understanding is that the trans shaft and motor shaft must be true. No need for the trans to be open to catch road debris and have vines wrap around the adapters.

Man you should’ve kept the clutch so you didn’t have to stop every time your shift

When an electric motor isn't under load you can shift no clutch . Also this Jeep probably topped out at 60 down hill stock, you could drive it anywhere zero to sixty in 2nd never shift no need

This was both enjoyable and sad to watch. I have never, personally, seen a better specimen of a mid 60's military jeep before. I'm fairly certain it would have sold for a pretty penny here in the U.S. It was a cool conversion though.. but still, such a nice jeep.

P.S. What those springs do inside the friction ?

I try to find videos on ev conversions and this popped up. Very simple but cool to watch. My only Critique is the amount of time spent on flashing the lights and driving around beeping the horn. It would have been better spent on filming build steps.

      @@joshjuache1780 Learn electrical engineering first.
Connection is not easy if you have no knowledge ,it can cost your life.
This are highly voltage can easily kill you if you handle wrong way.
It will be much easier. But I'll list it for you.
      Major components.
      - Electric motor. Although it depends what type you use. Higher WATT more power.
      -batteries.
      -Wires.
      - Controller
      - And list goes on depends what other features you like to add and depending on your budget.
