    Thanks for the million dollar tip about removing the solenoid to drain water and crud from the float bowl. Because of its position and construction, however, I soon discovered that all of my wrenches were useless for the job. In desperation I resorted to a vise-grips. The mower now runs like new.

    On the rear fuel tank mower, check the elbow coming out of tank for trash and grass that will restrict fuel flow, if you think it’s running out of fuel it’s most likely not the oem fuel pump 😊

    As a former repair tech for Se-ars, you be surprised how many calls I went on where mower would die after using a little while. Let it sit for a while and start up again. It was usually always gas cap that was dusty and not venting.

    Having similar issue with yth2448. Suggest when you test fuel pump take piece of 1/4 hose and slip on output and run into water bottle. Also use pan or shutoff clamp on line from tank. Have not finished video, thanks for doing it.

    Turn your gas cap back a turn so it's not tight. Sometimes, the cap doesn't vent and does not let the fuel flow normally.

    I'm hoping I can figure out my Husqvarna. I installed a new carburetor, fuel pump, and fuel filter and she still won't run. It will start and run with starter fluid but not on its own. I can see fuel squirting out of the fuel pump so I know it's getting fuel. Very frustrating.

    • @TheShadeTreeFixitMan
      @TheShadeTreeFixitMan  2 года назад

      Check the electronic solenoid that screws into the carburetor bowl. It should have power to it when you turn the key on and you should be able to hear it clicking. You may have a bad wire to it. I'm assuming it is new with the new carburetor. Otherwise make sure you don't have water in the fuel. Hope these suggestions will be helpful. Thanks for stopping by.

    Took out 10 gallons of fuel out of a boat stored at niegbors house it had 1 gallon of water in it...last time I had to drain his fuel at the dock and it had 10 gallons of water and in 30 gallons of what was susposed to be fuel, I really hate ethanol gas mix it's horrible at water absorption even worse when it's stored on a body of water I will post a video on the 10 gallon drain job.
