This roll cake is an adaptation, as shown in the video, from little treats that you could buy in convenience stores or at the train station in Japan. Also, they had little bite-size versions at our hotel. The cake and the filling are very mild tasting, and not too sweet, in keeping with the Japanese desserts that we had. On our first trip, we visited Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo, but as I said next time it will be more about the natural beauty.
