    Ladies, when you sense danger before you actually see it, it’s because your senses pick up something threatening, for example weird foot step pattern, someone in your peripheral, it’s almost always correct. The brain is a busy and amazing thing.

    You absolutely do not need to show any evidence that you were stalked. If a woman feels uncomfortable or unsafe in a situation, then believe them when they vocalize their feelings! I am so relieved that you were able to think quick enough to get out of the elevator, that definitely could have turned dangerous for you. Keep on sharing your stories Annie, they provide information on what is and what's not normal in Korea and I know that they will help foreign women who plan to visit Korea in the future.

    I've had so many incidents here in England that my default is aggressive and swearing. I let them say what they wanted to say if it's quick, then i'm just like 'get the fuck away from me. Who do you think i am! How dare you! Shame on you!', lol, i've actually said 'i am a laaady!!' to creepy guys before. As soon as i start talking they tend to f off anyway, i'm aggressive and annoying and i don't try to hide it.

    I remember once (in the US) I was walking to the bus stop, broad day light, and some dude yelled out to me if I had a bf (I stupidly said no) and if I wanted one. I yelled back Nope! and kept walking. Literally a few hours later my school emailed everyone saying a guy fitting the description of the guy that hollered at me had been robbing cars in the parking lot I saw the dude by and that he threatened a guy that hed tase them if they tried to stop him (no one saw a taser but jfc).So yeah, men are lovely 🙄... but seriously be careful in any city, country, continent, fucking planet idk.

    The same thing happened to me, but in Canada. I can literally go out anytime, and I'm cautious but not scared. Once I was coming home at like 11 at night and this guy actually followed me to my apartment building. He asked if we could 'get together'. I'm paraphrasing cuz I can't remember the exact words he used. I was so freaked out, I didn't open my door and sternly told him I was gonna report him to the police if he didn't get away from me. In this day and age men know better than to follow a woman at night, for whatever reason. A man actually tweeted that if he sees a woman walking at night he tries to cross the street so she's not scared. That's what all men should do, as a courtesy IMO.

    I really believe that we all have a sixth sense when it comes to danger. My creep senses were tingling one day. I was leaving the grocery store and something told me to turn around. There was a man literally on my heels, behind me in this huge parking lot. He was so quiet that I didn’t even know he was that close behind me. I think my loud “what the FUCK” startled him. He scurried back to his car, which was on the opposite end of the lot from where I parked. 🙄

    A lot of this reminds me of the year I spent in Rome (context: I am white but I have naturally red hair, so for that reason looked foreign to most Italians). I too could go out late at night and didn't feel like I was physically at risk, but in comparison to my home country, the amount of sexual harassment and the regularity of it was rife. And most of the time it would start out deceptively innocent too - like asking me for directions and so forth. It got to the point where whenever an Italian guy approached me, I would just put my head down, tell them I didn't want to speak to them and walk away. Which is not who I am - generally I am helpful and don't mind helping others, but it was just so predatory.

    I went to Kazakhstan in 2018 and I’m a half Mexican half American women, I told somebody this cause they asked and the guy who heard me (there were many in the cafe)and he was so fascinated that I knew the Kazakh and Russian language and asked if I had a boyfriend. I didn’t answer cause I did already at the time. And so I left and turns out he followed me to my hotel. I’m at the bottom floor. Two ish in the morning, I see him watching me sleep through the thin ass white curtains and taking super bright flash. And he keeps following me after two days again, so I take it to the police with evidence. They didn’t do crap 🤠so I just end up having to see this dude till I left home and eventually had a Kazakh friend and his brother confront the dude so when I came back, he was no longer an issue. This happens a lot if you are a foreigner especially in a micro nation

    Don't shoot me for this (and not to move away from the purpose of this video) but I wanted to touch a little on that media thing: I personally blame media a lot for the portrayal of us women, music, movies, animes, magazines, even f*ing cartoons that kids watch! Music-wise, I'm still looking for that girl group or female artist that sings killer songs and sends off badass no-sexual-at-all vibe (they're not shown in a sexual manner at all). There are some I've found but their music is not my type cause I'm picky music-wise 😅 but their aura and persona is that tough do-not-mess-with-me with no sexual undertone. We need more portrayals like that in the media.
    Of course we're free to dress as how we want and portray ourselves as how we want (just to clear off any misunderstandings) and I don't put blame on women however they dress or portray themselves (it's their body after all). Still media does *exagerateeeee* our sexuality!

    • @annienova
      @annienova  2 года назад +1

      Right but sadly the music industry is run by old white men. They want to make money and sex sells. However I think it’s important to remember that we as adults should recognise that media is not real life haha
