Its so disgusting that once they hear 'the boyfriend' they back off. They care more about the other person possibly being offended rather than the person they are stalking
That's is so disgusting, but also it doesn’t work every time 😩There were few times when I said that I have a boyfriend (and I did at the time) but these guys just got more interested instead, like me having a boyfriend somehow became a challenge or something 😤
Do you know why "I have a boyfriend" works? Not because your in a relationship per se but because they know another man can intervene if anything happens, so your technically not alone (vulnerable). This is one of the reasons why some single Korean women buy mens shoes to put outside their homes so it looks like a man lives with them, to prevent crimes on women, or home intruders.
@@dbsk06 Basically it’s just how the laws are set up, and this is fundamentally why men think they can get away with mistreating women, especially foreign women - men are still favored over a woman’s right, and as for foreigners will let’s just say Korean citizens are favored over any foreigners claims as well, so some men take advantage of that and here we are.
It's so sad that our "No" is not enough to be respected. I hate that we need to depend on other men to stay safe. One of the first things I do when I travel (I'm single and travel alone) is learning the name of the closest police station from where I stay and tell this kind of persistent guy "I have a boyfriend and he is a police officer in ...station, so leave before I call him" I absolutely hate to use this, but it's been useful more than once.
I live in London, and yesterday i actually had a scary moment. I was walking home alone like 11pm (Because i finished work late). And some man behind me started shouting at me and and then he asked me what bus he can take to go somewhere and i told him the bus and where the bus stop was and unfortunately the bus was the same direction i was going and he walked next to me and he started saying things like "Where are you going?. do you live alone? why are u not with a man? u look pretty girl why are u alone? I was looking for a girl to hangout with but i had no luck. " . I actually pulled the i have a bf card which i also HATE to do.. but because i was alone and it was late and dark i was genuinely scared. and i heard a lot that men wont respect u but will respect the invisible man that apparently "owns you" and it seemed to work and i'm fine.
I learned the hard way that you have to say “I have a boyfriend”. I lived in Korea for only 4 months and on my 1st dinner with a group, there was a guy that was asking about my school so I answered everything truthfully because I thought we were just talking but 3 days after he appeared outside my classroom and even called me by my entire name (because the school puts it outside each classroom). The worst thing is that he said that he’s been watching me for the past 2 days but was “shy” to come up to me but he got my “hints” when we talked about dinner so he found my school. I wasn’t giving him HINTS!!! I was just answering truthfully to what I thought were normal questions. The stalking continued even though I kept telling him how wrong that behavior was. After that experience, I always say “I have a boyfriend” even if he seems like a nice guy.
The other annoying thing is, I've actually seen women saying that it' rude to lie and say you have a boyfriend and that you should tell the truth and "have manners" and give them your [real] number. Like, wtf??? Anyone out there feeling guilty, DO NOT give someone your number! You do not have to be polite to ANYONE. I've had grown men still aggressively try it on with me when I was a teenager and I've worn a ring pretending to be married or engaged on nights out just because I didn't want to be bothered. I told one of my guy friends and he said that men just see a ring as more of a challenge. I've had some random guy throw a wad of cash in my face because he was frustrated that women weren't flocking to him all night because he was buying champagne. We're supposed to be impressed by bullsh*t, creepiness and mediocrity and when we're not they become aggressive. In some instances, a lie can be a chance at survival. There is no shame in using a lie to get out of a scary situation. I'm more aggressive nowadays and so I just straight up ignore them and if they persist, I tell them I'm not interested. Even when I'm single and they ask if I have a boyfriend, I say no I'm just not interested. But I'm also ready to fight if I have to. And that should never be the case, but sadly it is. Trust your instincts and don't rely on friends either. I've had a "friend" who when we were teens left me in a messed up situation twice and I'm surprised and lucky I wasn't r*ped both times. It upsets me that not much has changed. Also, I want to say how important your videos actually are because there are a lot of young girls out there that are obsessed with kpop, kdramas and Korean movies and have a sort of fantasy built up in their heads and they really need to see the reality. I didn't see any videos like your when I was younger and into kpop etc, so your vids are great! And glad you're safe!

A creepy thing also happened to me in japan a few months ago . I finished work one night late and went to the 7 eleven next door . When I got out there was a man standing at the entrance and he approached me and said “ I want a South African friend “ ... he knew my nationality!!?? I was also totally freaked out . In Japan being a South African is a rare nationality to have as a foreigner. If he said American I wouldn’t have been that scared , but knowing my nationality meant he probably checked my job’s website or something and then targeted me for some reason . And he knew my routine to wait for me outside the 7 eleven .
Those stories are terrifying... Thank you girl for this video! I'm from Bern, Switzerland and planning to go to Seoul next year for a few months :) Love your channel, I'm learning so much from your videos!
A few weeks ago I was waiting for my bf at a coffee shop and the waiter was like hi do u wanna get a table and I said yes bc my bf was almost there and the guy literally sat down with me and I was so shocked like...youre working and I'm clearly uncomfortable and he said the famous line "what is a pretty girl like yourself doing by herself" and I was like oh no I'm just waiting for my boyfriend and the guy didn't care and once my bf got to the table he practically JUMPED away
I found your channel because of Kelsey. Not sure if there was part 4 about this topic but my god have I learned watching your stories and here to tell you there is never enough. We should all be talking openly about this weird cringe people so it doesn't happen to the next girl, or at least being warned about the behaviors.
I was in a club in Italy and the my girlfriends were talking to a group of guys and one of them was so aggressive towards me so I tell him I have a boyfriend and guess what? He was like well he is not your husband yet and since they I say I have a fiancée for this situations 😩
I live in Vietnam and if anything like that happens, I just speak really fast gibberish. Works every time! But the worst I’ve had is because I am blonde they think I am a “playboy bunny”, so I’ve been touched inappropriately when out in bars and clubs. Be careful, a lot think foreigner women are “easy”.
I live in southern Italy and I get followed on a daily basis 🤷🏿♀️ they don't even care if I have a boyfriend. I have to act super aggressive to get them to back off.
If the guy is to persistent I usually give them a fake number then say that I have something going on at home and that they could text me in like half an hour, then I run of pretending that I have to be somewhere urgently
If you’re in korea and they approach you, just assume they have bad intentions. Talking to strangers on the street is not something that’s normal for koreans. If it’s in a bar or party or something I think the lines are a bit more blurred but yeah
@@annienova oki doki, cause when i heard you speak English i recognised the british accent and though to myself, she's British and then now your swiss and i was like what is Anna nova😂

Thank you! I mainly make these videos to warn other girls and to show what tactics men use so I’m glad it was educational!
@@annienova ❤
You're not the only one to attract weirdos. I tend to attract weirdos too Lol, all the best with your visa reapplication. Love your stories xx
Thank youuu glad you enjoy ❤️
Is that Juicy as the background music?
You have good ears 👂
Ukraine loves you Annie, be safe❤️☀️
No means no man , it’s one thing to ask a stranger out but another to not respect boundaries
lol if it was me I would have been "well I'm moving with my boyfriend" or something.
I should try that next time lmao
I was in a club in Italy and the my girlfriends were talking to a group of guys and one of them was so aggressive towards me so I tell him I have a boyfriend and guess what? He was like well he is not your husband yet and since they I say I have a fiancée for this situations 😩
Gosh.. Some people rlly have the audacity 😣
Here!!
helloooooo
Uhhh creeps, creeps are the worst.
Yep hahah they really are
I live in Vietnam and if anything like that happens, I just speak really fast gibberish. Works every time! But the worst I’ve had is because I am blonde they think I am a “playboy bunny”, so I’ve been touched inappropriately when out in bars and clubs. Be careful, a lot think foreigner women are “easy”.
What's a Playboy bunny? Never heard this
I live in southern Italy and I get followed on a daily basis 🤷🏿♀️ they don't even care if I have a boyfriend. I have to act super aggressive to get them to back off.
If the guy is to persistent I usually give them a fake number then say that I have something going on at home and that they could text me in like half an hour, then I run of pretending that I have to be somewhere urgently
Shocking
Am I tripping or she spelled foreign wrong in the thumbnail ?
I did and now im too lazy to change it smh
Thats honestly the worst that they fetishize foreigners and its so creepy. God, that sucks. Do they really think that low of us? Oh my god
Frrr bro same I try to look ugly or like not try to look good and men just look at me or something as if their interested like WTHHHH
But the thing is how can i know when someone doesn't want my number only because I'm a foreigner?
It's frustrating sometimes cause i don't really know whether they want it for that reason or no
If you’re in korea and they approach you, just assume they have bad intentions. Talking to strangers on the street is not something that’s normal for koreans. If it’s in a bar or party or something I think the lines are a bit more blurred but yeah
Men can be so creepy
Yep lmao
not all men just korean men
@@mr.mtariq8180 lmao what does nationality has to do with being a creep, there's creeps everywhere
i love your channel :))
Annie where's Mj?
omggg grüezi didn't kno you where swiss😂😂💘
Yep born in Bern 😂
@@annienova are you actually half swiss half British or just grew up there💘
My father is Swiss and it’s my only nationality haha my background is a loooooooong story 😂
@@annienova oki doki, cause when i heard you speak English i recognised the british accent and though to myself, she's British and then now your swiss and i was like what is Anna nova😂
Smh. Can't creeps understand what's no mean no 🤦♀️
Exacrlyyyy
Maybe we should wear wedding ring in the future to prevent this kind of creepy people interacting with us 😂
heyy, where do u work at? i don’t mean the address but like at a supermarket or something like that
I just be giving them the wrong number or my dads and when they try to call i say my phone’s dead.🥲
But like, what if they try and call you right then and there to check you gave them the right number lmao
@@annienova true It doesn’t work 100% of the time but I just say my phone died 😭 and my phone is usually on silent so it kinda helps
Early!
wooooo
So their calculation is that if they dont try, they have 0% of meeting you but if they try, they have .1% which is more than 0. Sort of rational if you take embarrassment out of it.
I'd still rather they just take their chances to not talk to me lmao
Jesus loves you Annie
Toaster oven😂
😂😭😂
im kinda early woah hollup gonna sub rq
Hey hey welcome to the fam ❤️
@@annienova thank u ❤️
Ugh i hate creeps...... what do they think they will gain with their behavior.... they dont see themselves as fucking creepy?????? Catcalling and being followed is an actual problem.....
"foreing" on the banner i'm dead, but i hate the fact we can only let guys off by saying we have a bf rather than just not being interested smh
Too lazy to change it 😌
🤦♀️These people 🤦♀️
Your imaginary boyfriend @_@
Where you been Annie? I've missed you. Lol
Haha trying to be more consistent
12:50 men smh
