Tyvm! I started back in 3rd edition. Don't have time to play much anymore but I like to collect the books and keep up with the lore! (Space Marine 2 was also awesome)
Although I can't say for sure why Blade was using the short sword instead of his signature Katana, but I suspect an in-universe reason is because he was fighting Azazel who can teleport near instantaneously in which case Blade would need to move and react quickly (assuming Blade has superhuman reflexes and can react quick enough which he can) and I think using the short sword is probably less strenuous than wielding a heavier katana. Snipes made wielding the sword look very easy 26 years ago in the first Blade movie but now at 62 Snipes probably moves a little slower and probably needed something a little easier to handle. I like toward the end of the movie how the TVA was blaming Deadpool and Wolverine for Casaandra escaping the void to an earth timeline. Completely glossing over the fact that one their own Mr. Paradox built a dangerous cosmic device that could have been used to wipe nearly all of existence across all known timelines. Not to mention that the TVA doesn't monitor the Void, if they had they may have possibly discovered that Cassandra had access to a sorcerer's sling ring. But if the TVA sent a Dr. Strange variant to the void without confiscating his sling ring, then again the TVA is squarely at fault in either case the TVA should be held accountable for their gross negligence.
Thanks for your well thought out post. I believe the sword is not a katana, I think it has a straight edge. You make a good point about Wesley Snipe's age...I can't believe the movie Blade is 26 years old already. Good catch with the TVA, but I got the impression that the 'deal' between Paradox/Cassandra was done under the table and without the higher ups in TVA knowing. I think this one is mostly on him (Paradox) but some more oversight from TVA might've prevented this?
@@OfficialDNJmoviehouse Yeah your right I thought I read somewhere that they referred to Blade's sword as a Kitana, but it lacks the signature curve and guard on the handle that most Kitanas have. Like you said a straight edge sword made from Titanium ( which btw is not very easy to forge compared to steel or iron ) Remember when Cassandra was giving exposition about how long she had been in the void and she said the TVA sent her there before she could walk (provided she was being truthful) and she looks to be about 25 years old so it's possible she may have had an agreement with the previous leadership of the TVA. I don't want to spoil Loki for you and your wife if you haven't watched both seasons thus far. If not, then please watch both seasons and tell me if you think Cassandra could have carried out her plan to destroy all other existing timelines. I'm not sure she would have been able to.
I believe it's because they want only Deadpool to be the swordsman in the film. It was also nice to see some of Blade's other fighting tactics. If Blade did use his katana, then the audience would only argue who's the better one using them.
Great reaction! It is very interesting to see your joint detailed reaction to the film Robocop 1987. This is a cool classic movie 🦾🤖🔥 Do you have any plans to do it?
Maybe, but hindsight is always 20/20. If you don't want to get spoiled, you go in blind. That means don't tell people what they need to watch before hand. Saying: you must watch Elektra and Blade before Deadpool & Wolverine is like telling cameos. I personally dislike when film's rely too much on Disney+ Content. In here, they made so they explained enough those who didn't watch Loki to get the idea.
@@thejamppa The movie rewarded those who watched content while also explaining to those who didn't IMO. I'm just glad we watched Blade and Logan before this one!

That’s the only thing I would call “bad writing”- a random group of mutant-hating humans just walked into the mansion and KILLED the X-men?😂 Some 2A obsessed white dudes with pickup trucks and confederate shirts killed Beast, Storm, Scott, Jean, Charles?😅
Pretty sure a huge plot point of the X-men movies was human perception of the mutants and Magneto's legitimate fear of the humans hunting down mutants, similar to what he witnessed as a child during WW2, in some of those movies we see some negative public perception against mutants. Charles wanted to help mutants to control their powers and use them for good, partly to show humans they have nothing to fear from them. Magneto on the other hand wanted to delete humanity in a kind of preemptive attempt at ensuring they were not the ones who would be deleted. In this movie we see a non mutant human has a machine that can literally destroy universes, so humans making technology that can delete mutants is entirely possible in the world of Marvel. I think it's good storytelling, it touches on the social commentary of the X-men movies. It shows us that when this wolverine didn't follow Charles and the X-men, his actions created further fear and hatred in humanity, ultimately leading to humans taking the step Charles and Magneto both feared. This wolverines actions helped lead to his friends being wiped out and he carries the guilt of that.
@@CelticComradeLad Well written post. I recall in the old cartoon for X-men humans had an advanced sentinel called nimrod that would wipe the floor with everybody. I forgot if this was in the days of future past movies because its been so long since i've seen them.
