I think a Dooku’s sailer is exactly the type of odd ball cool set we need today if they did a attack of the clones version of this with Sidous for like $70-$80 I’d scoop it up
Yeah, they probably would. I wonder how they would do it though... I mean if they wanted to give it the functionality of folding into the ship that could potentially be bad for the sail piece if it was felt, but making it brick-built doesn't make sense.
$90??? In our sweet Lego SW dreams. Try $120 as a starting point, or more than likely $150. Now if Lego included a nice sail with deploying contraption on this updated model, that would help justify the price.

Not sure what you are basing that price assumption on, but if you have paid any attention to recent Lego SW pricing, medium sized SW ships w/ 4 minifigs, start at $100 and up. I would love as much as the next fan to be proven wrong though because solid sets under a $100 are becoming HTF.
IF they remade it and fixed the back, which should've been done on this one, fixed the spires so they fold out and to the side at an angle, added an actual solar sale, there are plenty of stiff "fabrics" they could use, they could get a pretty penny for it.
We could use some prequel era stuff in general. The AT-TE was great but I really hope we get a regular scale Republic Gunship and perhaps something Separatist next year.

It seems like with the likes of more complex droid designs like Magnaguards and B2 super battle droids, they seem to have forgotten about their whole existence, since they don't give clankers enough credit these days and all they include now is just same old regural B1 battle droid that we have seen for so long and and sometimes spider droid makes a cameo also and that's about it. I liked the time when we have a chance to army build more spesial and expensive droid units like Commando droids for example and now it's just B1's... Lego really needs to give more justice for the Separatist Alliance imo, we still don't have Lego Wat Tambor minifigure too and he would work so well as a minifigure...
I can confirm from experience that the Magna Guard legs unfortunately do have the same cracking issue as the Super Battle Droids. It's the mold that's the issue, not the colour.
This set made an appearance in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, 13 YEARS AFTER THIS SET CAME OUT!!! Then again, it IS the only Solar Sailer set LEGO made, so...
Oh man seeing the stickers rolled like that hurts me. My Republic Frigate's stickers came like that too. Some of them had already fallen off the sheet in the box. I was only 9 at the time so didn't think about flattening them. Stuck them on the set and less than a week later they'd all peeled and fallen off. Also fyi you got Dooku's saber hilt upside down. The little pointy bit is supposed to be at the top.
Looking back, the printing on the Count Dooku mini figure looks a little strange. I get this is modeled after The Clone Wars and not Episode 2 but still. The design could be better.
I got the set when I was a kid :):) it’s still on the shelf in my room at my dads house :) I moved out of my moms at 17 I’m now 21, havnt been to my dads since about a year into living alone so 4 years since I’ve seen my sets but I’ve also got the darthvadar tie fighter and a droid gun ship and I’m pretty sure I have a kylo ren ship but I can’t remember, I do have a blue and grey tank but never put it together 😂and also an old all grey walker with the grey suit guy, over the last few years I’ve started a new collection with 2 Jedi ships an XWING mandos naboo star fighter, mando walker set the last year battle pack I think ?:) and also the inquisitors ship with 3 of them 🙏 idk if people would be interested but maybe when I can afford to pay bills using RUclips I can get all my stuff together, would it be enough to have people interested? You do this a lot more than me obviously 😂 how many sets are needed to make a video that people are gonna want to watch, I’ve seen a lot of army building on base plates for shelves would setting all mine up be enough? If I put in the time to do it as well as you? U and a few other Lego creators have brought my passion from when I was a kid back to life thank you!
Question… is it worth contacting Lego customer service if you open a sealed set from 10 years ago only to find a piece damaged or missing? I had a similar unboxing experience where the book and stickers were bent, and one of the mini-figs faceprint came out of the box basically faded/non-existent.
If it's a standard piece then yes. Unfortunately, it's pretty unlikely they'd be able to help with stickers or minifigures since they're out of production.
This set was pretty annoying because every time you’d try to move it or play with it, it would fall apart way to easily. I don’t know how many times I had to fix it.
I wasn't into LEGO Star Wars way back in 2009, so the nostalgia goggles aren't a problem for me. That being said, this set looks pretty ugly (even compared to other 2009 sets, it just looks funny to me) 🤣.

they could make it a ucs set kinda how the chrome was special for the naboo starfighter and make it big with a huge stand for the sail
