Mine as well. This is the first really big set I ever owned. I was 14 years old at the I spent the entire summer saving up to get it. Almost 10 years of collecting later and this is still the most sentimental piece of my collection.
This is the clones equivalent of an MTT.

I would say with how much it is buy bits and pieces of it from eBay or something till completion then build it up
Try parting out the set, you can get it much cheaper
This is one of my dream UCS and Clone Wars sets that is missing from my collection.
This set has always been one of those rare “looks too good to be true” things that actually was true. Truly epic.

Gabriel Brown for these two bahemoths? You know the drop ship dwarfs all the republic gunships! It is ginormous! And 300 for a set this size is brilliant! Besides, if these sets came out out now they would both come with like 3 figures for 160 each or something so this is fantastic
@@ThomasMcHughRedDead The dropship probably has the same mass as a republic gunship since a lot of it is skinny. And they would probably cost $120 or $130 each and have 5 minifigs. I do not think this is worth $300 at all. $230 at most
I don't know what you mean. Sets these days are great. People act like Lego back then was so much better and so much better priced. But 2008- 2012 had a lot of extremely overpriced sets.
If they were to remake this set, they would split the dropship into another set. Also, imagine dropping off your vehicle just for it to immediately be blown up and destroyed.

Although, I think there should be more figures for that $250 price. And to think the Yoda from 2019 has more prices than this whole set is crazy!
If you bought 2 of the Walker battle packs you would have 6 regs and 2 gunners for 30 bucks, this set is 250 for 6 regs and 2 pilots, this set is not very good

It gives me shivers remembering Clone Wars Legos
I remember, when I was little, spying in my parents bedroom for presents for my birthday and saw this. Then my birthday came and there was no AT-OT and I was like whaaat but acted like I am fine. And then Christmas came and I saw this big box and I guarantee you, I was the most happy kid in the world. Gosh I would punch myself for this thinking. Thank you father, that you always thought and cared about me. Now, 20 y.o., I care about this set as the most expensive jewel but unfortunately it got a little yellowish from sun :/
D&MRemix Oh you can remove the sun damage by soaking the bricks in a hydrogen peroxide solution out in the sun for a few hours. It will take a bit of time to get the set cleaned but it will be worth it in the end. For a more detailed explanation on reversing sun damage, watch jangbricks’ video about it
Dont worry! You can make it look brand new, just soak the yellowed bricks in hydrogen peroxide in the sun for a few hours and good as new!
DO NOT SOAK THE BRICKS IN HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IT WILL MAKE BRICKS EVEN MORE YELLOW AFTER A FEE WEEKS DEAR GOD PLEASE DON’T DO IT

Sometimes during the clone wars when they were on major battles they had to shove like 4 or 5 troops into drop shifts because they didn’t have enough room other gun ships
actually the drop ship WAS able to carry extra passengers

It was Christmas of 2009 I was by the christmas tree I loved legos and was excited to see what I would get for Christmas
I remember on opening day I opened the box Up and I saw the Dropship and AT-OT I was so happy I remember it took me 4 days to assemble but it was worth it I remember we had Battledroids and made our own Battles it was awesome this video brought me back to the past

The thing on the back of the drop ship is a ramp for the pilot to get to the cockpit and there would be a ladder in that space that has the missile so the pilot can get in
Just watching these videos make me miss when I was younger and having massive LEGO battles, I’ll always love legos

I've had this set since 2009 and never noticed that in any review. The box i have was simply taped shut on the sides.

I would love a re-release or a total re-design.
I love gunships in general but having something deliver troops into the field is alot different than something that drops a vehicle/troop-carrier into the field. It'd be fanastic since the clone wars is coming back too.

2022 will be Episode 2's anniversary so they might re-release it because these vehicles were in the background of Episode 2 as well. I really hope so. My list of hopes for Attack of the Clones anniversary lego sets:
1. MBS Petranaki Arena
2. UCS AT-OT with Dropship
3. Bounty Hunter Pursuit
Man I remember everyone hating on flick fire missiles. Looking back on them, they weren’t as good as a play feature but definitely looked better than stud shooters
This and the MTT were my favorite Lego sets ever, and also the ones I have always been the most proud of, of having. I only had 1 big issue with it: the legs were not very animator friendly. I did a lot of stop motion at that time and it was really just imposible to animate the legs of this thing.

@@peti4016 like the Republic Gunship UCS is very big, both the AT-OT and Republic Dropship as a UCS set will be very expensive.

MandR productions: lego only gave us 6 clone troopers and we had 16 seats!
Lego: makes a ucs ATAT with way more seats than that, and only with like three figs
This was and still is one of my favorite sets ever made. For years this is all I collected on top on new sets. Over the years I was able to collect 7 of them total. Probably not the best decision but definitely a cool thing to have
These 7 sets are worth a ton of money now

Grandfather has this one, but I think he built it wrong. Unfortunately he refuses to let anybody touch it because he said it took him an hour to attach the two vessels, but I personally think that’s because he built it wrong!!!

This is some of the best work to ever come out of the Lego Factory, especially from the Star Wars line.
I've always wanted this set just for the AT-OT, dropship is very nice as well though.
The hinged part behind the missile compartment was for the pilot to enter the ship which is the same in universe

I'm finding I want old sets that have long since retired and now have to pay a premium price for them. I only got back into Lego a couple of years ago. I like the Monster Fighters series and the Pharoah's Quest sets.

The hatch on the back of the cockpit is for the main cannon of an AT-TE if you attach that to the Dropship

That's the thing I like about older sets compared to newer sets. Sure, the minifigure printing is lacking compared to today's standards, but the older sets usually had much more minifigures. Like legit the 2013 Attack of the Clones sets lacked so many clone troopers. Sets like this had plenty of them.

The ramp is like that because the AT-OT kneels down and the ramp drops down
