I’ve noticed that very often, adding the veil allows the entourage to really see how she’ll look on her wedding day.
Some dresses are harder than others. Most of them look like red carpet dresses, till you put the veil on.

So many couple break up over money issues. This bride is being responsible and sticking to her budget. Her mother is doing her- and her marriage- no favors by encouraging her to spend beyond her means.
If she was financially smart she would not have already bought a dress.
I feel like this appointment went wrong in so many ways. You shouldn’t bring family members that can’t respect your boundaries, Flo shouldn’t have let her put on the $4,000 dress (or at least tell her the price before she puts it on), and the first thing out of Liz’s mouth should have been that the wedding is in 2 months. I’m glad it all worked out though!

Consultant usually asks when the wedding is. All for camera again -so staged - so Lori could come in and “save the day”. Flo should’ve asked at time of introduction
A mother AND a mother in law sitting there saying they want more bling but when the bride stood there, saying she can't afford it and NOT ONE OF THOSE SO CALLED MOTHERS offered to cover the rest, it broke my heart. If you're not paying for it. Keep your dumb opinions to yourself.

The second dress was on another level, hence the price tag. I felt for her with that mother. She looked so lovely in the last dress too and it's very similar.
I hate it when people sulk but don't take out their wallets. If MOM loves it so much why is she not offering to help pay for the dress. It happens a lot in various episodes and sometimes someone does ask if they will help cough up, it helps to usually shut them down. I liked the episode where the bridesmaids all offered to chip in, wonder though if they really did.
I bet they did - they seemed very genuine people

how many people know anything about formal dress shopping before their wedding... it's not the 1800s. we don't wear specially fitted ballgowns unless its for a special event. if you didn't want to go to prom or you're not rich, you arent just gonna go to these places
This show cracks me up. A bride can put on a Hefty Bag of a dress and everyone hates it, but the minute the veil goes on everyone thinks its gorgeous. Those must be some magic veils!

Lori was so caring and helpful. And the bride is so sweet.
I love how Lori and all the women , of course Monty, pull together and help the bride. They are so patient and kind, when I think the family should be kicked to the curb, they rise above and help the family stay in tact. Inspiring!
If a mom chooses a dress for her daughter to try on, she should be ready to pay for it if it’s over the budget.
Obviously hard to tell since I'm not seeing it in person, but I was very confused by their claims that dress 3 was not as "sparkly" as dress 2, dress 2 looked like a bunch of lace with a crystal belt whereas dress 3 looked way more sparkly to me since it had crystals all over the bodice and down the front. Also, drives me crazy when family is pulling dresses that are way over budget. That being said, I respect this young woman so much for sticking to her guns (pun intended) and budget.
Am I the only one who loved the first dress? It made her figure look amazing!

I got married in 1980 and since I was paying I went shopping by myself. An Emperor cut and lace appliques , I loved it.
He proposed at Bass pro shop. That's a 50 50 mix of adorable and hilarious! I love it.

I love proposals that are right for the couple but completely bonkers for everyone else.
And yet another episode of “Say Yes to the Veil”. Mind you that 3rd dress is absolutely gorgeous on her. Looks perfect. But Mum. If you want to push her to double her budget, you offer to pay the balance or you agree that it’s out of her budget & tell her she’ll find something even better!

Veils, little sparkly belts, and alterations can add so much to the cost of a dress.
When the client first comes in and the consultant asks them what kind of dress they want, when the lady says anything remotely similar to "I'm not real sure", it seems like such an easy response would be to break out a catalog or photo album and show them the line-up of dresses you have to offer. I would think that would be a much better starting point than just saying "well let's see what we have" and diving right in all along hoping the customer will find something that catches their eye. I've been in both retail and commissioned sales for some time and you have to at least make an effort to narrow it down or you could spend hours going through your entire inventory......not that there's anything wrong with spending hours going through your inventory but the more time you spend on one customer the less time you have to help additional customers, make additional sales, and earn additional commissions/bonuses.
perhaps they normally would. But this is a TV show and people looking through a catalogue is much less interesting TV than people trying on pretty dresses
it's funny how a THOUSANDS of dollars worth of dress can't be "seen" until they put on a few hundred dollars worth of ---veil!!! whatever would people do without THE veil????

I would never bring any one else with me to hunt down a wedding dress. I'll pick what I want within my financial limits and that's it. If you don't like it, don't come to the wedding. I wouldn't want you there anyway if that was your attitude. It's really that simple.

What a awesome thing to see a young lady from my hometown of Eatonton Ga. I get the feel this bride is the Niece of Laura Rice and if I remember Laura’s husband is Mike. I know them from helping them clean up their remaining pieces of their house and the tornado tore it apart. Laura was a school teacher back then if my memory is right. Congratulations to the bride and groom.

The moral of this story is check prices on each dress before you try it on. Ask the sales person to tell you if anything is over and announce to your entourage that you won’t be trying anything over your budget. If they pick out something over budget you’ll assume they’re picking up the tab on the overage. 😂

When I shop for my wedding dress the one thing that I want to be sure about is only having one or two people with me. The many opinions and personalities would make me crazy. Those who want more could chip in and help pay for some.
Dress 2 looks just like the original one she bought, I definitely liked #1 and #3 better than #2. And #3 looks much better than her original; choice. Good for her sticking up for her budget
