    Hi Lindz, I only got my Ninja Air Fryer AF451UK last week (same as yours). This is on my menu for next weekend. Love your videos and as others have said, just straightforward delivery with no added unecessary "padding". Also, it gives me confidence when you apologise for your tiny "errors". Commenting whilst watching. Audio is fine whilst cooker is on. Impressed with the potato peeler, even though you say it's old. Hello Lindz, thank you for your answer. I watched the video, but I thought you would show it.
    No matter, I decided to buy the Foody Max pro grill, you simply lift the lid. For me, easier and more visible than the “hidden” heating elements. But the decision was also made because of the heated grill plate 😉 have a great New Years Eve 🎊

    I guess a couple of comments, I think once you get some more experience with your Ninja you will find you really don't need to take things out and turn them very often. Or have most things covered when cooking. Also I'm sure it's a British expression but in 40 years my wife has never called me "her Lovely" so it's pretty nice being one of your Lovelies. Who says the English can't cook!

    Hi. Are you inclined to use goose fat on the potatoes? That's my personal preference. I also use a tip from Jamie Oliver to flatten them 1/2 way thru cooking which I really believe helps Crispen them ( It can make a slight mess of them though!). Do you know what the litres capacity is of your air fryer? I want to buy one but I'm very confused as ideally I want one big enough for a full chicken roast for one with honey roast parsnips & pigs in blankets plus of course chicken & potatoes. I'd probably do as normal with peas, mini or chanteney carrots & sprouts & use cooker ring. Part of my confusion is I want a multi function model & one that's energy saving, though I suppose they're all basically meant to be. I wonder if having one big enough for a full roast sacrifices some energy saving? If you've the space & money perhaps you need 2 - one for roasts & one for everyday economy use!?

    • @LindzandLife
      @LindzandLife  Год назад +3

      Hi David 👋 My ninja is 9.5l in total, I have a cosori also that has a single draw only 4.7l but I love it and it's handy for 2 people and uses less electricity good everyday airfryer. It's a mind field now with so many units on the market. I will say my ninja uses more electricity using only 1 draw than my cosori. So I think checking the wattage might be an idea. For example my cosori is 1700w and ninja is 2400w aprox. Great tips on the roasts and I haven't used goose fat in years as it's a tad out of the weekly budget. Hope I've helped have a great day x

    However our gas oven packed up, we cant find anyone to fix it, in desperation bought the airfryer. You have given me the courage to have a go, I have been been very anxious about switching it on so far Do you do any meat free recipes or fish recipes we could try as a complete meal?

      Hi Anthony I love how the skin goes so crispy on thighs with just a touch of salt. I hear you on the washing up bit my sink not the problem it's my mixer tap that's to low 😅 I've got linners but there hit and miss and sometimes a danger as they like to blow into the heating element if not weight down.

      Hi Mark, Yes, I have, and unfortunately, I don't rate it at all so far. My advice is a separate temperature probe. I'll be honest I didn't get it for the probe I just didn't like the dial on the one without and heard it can be a pain. Hope that helps 😊

    Great video, however I really don't see the point of buying an air fryer with a built in probe and then not using it? It is one of its main features xx

    • @LindzandLife
      @LindzandLife  Год назад +1

      Hi Craig 👋 there's 2 models one with one without but the one without has a dial which I didn't want as from my research is temperamental and fails. I have tested the probe function on a joint of pork and a chicken the pork ended up in the dog as it was so overcooked ( I should of been checking rather than trusting the probe 🤣 But the chicken needed an extra 20min it's definitely trail and error

    But how do you clean the inside of the device via the food? There are certainly splashes of grease, steam, etc. A lot of it collects like a filter over the stove in an extractor hood. Do you have to clean it too?? Nothing is said about it here on RUclips
