      Thanks Dave, that price is really good. It's a funny thing with music when you're editing, it can feel a bit stark when there's little sound. Difficult to get the balance but glad you appreciate 👍🏻 Drop a line if you have any questions.

    Bought same without probe in Apr '21 from a well known TV shopping channel for £169. What a bargain back then. We are a family of 6 adults and use every single day for all types of cooking. Just bought the single drawer version with divider in middle, yet to open. Ninja is a good brand. No problem on the original one whatsoever. No handle coverings have come off and its solid as it was 3.5 years ago.

    What a great review, thank you. I've just got the same one as you, but without the probe, and am gingerly testing things out! The removable base it very stiff, and notested you took yours out with no difficulty at all, maybe it will loosen up with time. Anyway aside from that, I think it will save a lot of time, and electricity! Thanks again.

      I hope you enjoy. There are rubber stands on the trays, maybe they will rub down slightly with time. If it persists do reach out to Ninja support, they are quite responsive.

      @@BigSpud I've been choosing between the AF451 and AF500 for a long time, but I think I'll go with the AF451. It seems that two separate baskets provide better mobility and convenience since I don't need to cook a lot of food at once. I might have considered the AF400 based on your advice, but they aren't available for sale in Ukraine right now, only the new AF451. Thanks again for highlighting all the nuances; the video really helped :)

    I can’t decide between this and the XL stack option. We don’t have the biggest kitchen, but heard a few mixed things on the stacked with uneven cooking :-/

    • @BigSpud
      @BigSpud  Месяц назад +2

      I haven't used the stack version myself, but one of the major criticisms I saw was how inconvenient the placement of the baskets is. If you open the bottom one the handle of the top one obscures it, so you need to fully remove it to look into it, add seasoning etc.

    Hiya, I am looking at getting one of these as my oven fan keeps breaking. After watching this video I definitely think given the price difference the one without the probe is better out of the 2 similar. However I noticed on the larger one that has a bigger single drawer that it also has a divider so you can essentially split it into 2 compartments. This seems to me like the better option as it seems like the best of both worlds. Am I understanding it correctly or am I wrong?

    • @BigSpud
      @BigSpud  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for stopping by. I've read further into that model with the larger drawer and yes, I believe that is the case and that you can also set the temperature sides separately. So these models are even more similar and it just comes down to what makes more sense in your kitchen - two drawers or one larger drawer with a divider.

    • @DUSKtillDAN666
      @DUSKtillDAN666 3 месяца назад +1

      @@BigSpud no problem thanks for making this video it was quite helpful to me. Yes that's right you can heat each side independently. However I watched a different video and stumbled across some information which has made me doubt it now. This was simply if you have 2 different foods in each side. When you come tp empty it then it's hard to empty each side at a time if you had say chips in one side and veg in the other. While tipping out the one side the other can fall out too. Looked a bit awkward... I think I'm going to go for the 2 drawer one without the temperature spike thing. Seems the best value for money and it is just me. Sometimes my son as well. I just hope I'm making the right decision

      @@BigSpud OK yes, thanks I might do that. I do just have one other question I'm hoping you could maybe advise me on. I just saw that amazon sell silicon liners for the flexdrawer. It's a set of 2 half size and 1 full size. I'm thinking this would definitely help in getting stuff out separately. Are these things any good? Or do they mess up your cooking? I'm heading out to hopefully buy one now so I'm really hoping you'll have time to just give me a quick reply please 😁

    • @BigSpud
      @BigSpud  3 месяца назад

      @@DUSKtillDAN666 Unless you are baking a cake or something I'd advise against liners. They restrict the air flow and prevent even cooking. They are a doddle to clean. Try it for a couple of weeks, and maybe you'll decide later you want the liners. Not for me though. Enjoy your purchase!

    I bought my Ninja directly from them. Started great then developed an intermittent problem that switches the machine off. This is regardless of whether using the probe or any other programme.
    As I took my Ninja out of the UK despite it only being a few months old Shark /Ninja won't honour the 2 year guarantee.
    All in all not happy with them and certainly wouldn't recommend their product.
    However, I do like the reviews where it's important to acknowledge all that's good and bad with the product or company.
    What a pity the customer service department from Ninja don't want to acknowledge the problems..
