The Boynton Middle School 7/8 Orchestra performs "Fantasia on a theme from Thailand" by Richard Meyer. Performed on May 18, 2022 , under the direction of Mr. Lewis at the Spring "Let's Go Everywhere" concert in Kulp Auditorium, Ithaca High School, Ithaca, New York.

Its kinda sad that the cellos have to play in thumb position because there’s no violas.

There is a viola part, just played by both cellists and violists. Post-pandemic there weren't many violists, so they were replaced by cellists from the very large cello section. I think the viola situation has improved by now.
