I will never wrap my head around why they get so much hate. I love this entire album, but I also became familiar with this album in middle school when it came out and Photograph was huge.
I feel like a small few started hating on them publicly, and alot of society just joined in without even knowing why they are hating on them...like bullies on a playground. .really.
I think they are great. And I to this day still enjoy their music.

This song & video reminded me of my best friend who at one time pulled me out of my truck before it got hit by a semi on the road. If she wasn’t following me that day, I woulda died that day. She said to me that she felt God told her to follow me cause something bad was fixin ta happen.
This was the first Nickelback video I saw years ago, I was so impressed and I am still a fan today. Thank you for reacting to this song.

There is actually a movie like this. It’s a Justin Timberland movie named “In Time.” They have the numbers counting down above there heads
Azure That film has always reminded me of this video as well. And BTW, the numbers are counting down on their arms. And, I’ve always thought that it is a very underrated movie as well!
In the movie everyone has 25 years to live and in order to add more years to their life they have to kill someone at least I think that's how it went can't really remember

Life is short bro. Once we're born, .. we're dying. Everyone's number is up sometime.
Regardless of what so many people say about Nickelback, I have no issue with them. Musically they're a bit simple compared to many other rock bands, but some bands are musically complex simply for the sake of complexity, I feel. Not all - not by a long shot at all - but some. The elitism I simply don't understand - particularly from the general public. Simplicity =/= bad all of the time.
This song I know for years was something I had on my playlists. For some dark times when I was younger that line "Say it if it's worth saving me" was one that internally I repeated over and over and over, silently begging for those I loved to tell me that I was worth having around - that I was worth saving. It even now - over a decade after getting past that for the most part - it still holds a very special place in my heart.

This song was my introduction to Nickelback. Like I'd heard of Nickelback but never really heard their music. After hearing this, I became a diehard. Own all of their studio albums and absolutely need to see them live. As for the video, yes this would make an AWESOME TV show/movie.
@@tazmom0 they're like my only remaining "bucket list" live band. I was a little peeved when I found out that in 2009 (the year I moved from Tennessee to Oklahoma) they had a co-headline tour with Shinedown in Nashville. Mind you, I didn't learn about this "might've been" until last year. Yeah, that sucked.
Please listen to all tell us what you think about Nickelback's "If Everyone Cared" I don't think anyone has done a reaction to it. It's s very moving song and really makes you think.

What I got from this song is that we as individuals cannot see our own downfall and it takes an outsider to see it. Oitsider meaning someone besides ourselves. Notice the ones who were able to see others lifeline couldn't see their own. Sometimes as people we see things but talk ourselves out of it almost thinking we are crazy. "No that's not it... that can't be right.... I mist be seeing and hearing things." This is what drives some of us to thw point of insanity. Say it if it means SAVIN ME (SOMEONE)... Nickelback lyrics arw nothing but pure information and encouragement. They are educators and I personally think people hate them because of the message they have on the corruption of the human minds and they shone light on the wrojg in this world. We are living in extreme dark times and what Nickelback lyrics have to say could be a revolution for this condemn world.
I like this song because of the morale of the story is look out for other people who are in need for help in life, have a look at far away by them I’m sure you will love that one!

This video is like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Dude gets saved from dying and sees a counter over everyone's head depicting how long they have left to live... Who would you save? Also, screw all the Nickleback haters. They are awesome.

I don't recall ever hearing this song .... I like the lead singer's voice. I like it when he uses his 'growl' or rasp. This song is okay. My favorite Nickelback song is "NEVER AGAIN" -- a head-banger with a great message (domestic violence).

I think this song has deep meaning to it I think it’s about someone who is evil or doing bad things that is asking someone who is good or knows better to help them so they can get into heaven because the song mentions “heavens gates won’t open up for me” and about broken wings.
To me it always made me think of my ex, the times we had and just the feeling of bliss i had with her. Maybe that would make most sad but to me it just reminds me of how good life can be if you let it
I love Nickelback, I love Chad's voice. I don't understand who hates them, but everyone has their opinion. I like all the songs of this band. My favorite is "Trying not to love you". I've written a short story inspired by this song.

Great video! I also dont understand the hate for Nickelback. Ive been listening to them since I was 13 (now 26) and I've always found thier songs powerful, and the lyrics meaningful.
Hearing this takes me back to the simple days of middle school to be honest, and it also makes me think of friends and family that are no longer with me.

Unfortunately the idea of a 'life clock' was done but they just didn't handle the concept well. This idea needs a reboot with someone who can actually pull it off
the hatred is based on "formula" songs. If you pick certain keys, and certain subjects, it's automatically a hit. So, in essence, people hate on Nickelback because they deliberately write songs that they think people want to hear, instead of being "artistic" and trying to make political and cultural statements. The only people who truly hate Nickelback are assholes with no talent of their own, so they think that qualifies them to judge other people who DO have talent...
Not a fan of Nickleback, HOWEVER, the message of this song & video is excellent. The prob with Nickleback is that the few real rock bands out there, old or new, just have so much more depth, in general. They are simply hated by bands whom pride themselves on the musicianship & songwriting. But i did enjoy this!
