    Thanks for the critical information on power steering pump! Most of us don't even know what type of steering we have, these types of videos definitely give us more insight on our vehicles. Cheers!

    Super video! Unfortunately, I saw your video afterwards, but while checking brake fluid levels in my 2017 elantra and 2018 Santa fe, I had the brake fluid cap off for maybe a minute or two minutes, am i in trouble with moisture from the air going in from the time the cap was off? is going to the mechanic necessary for the moisture level test

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  2 года назад

      A minute or two minute should be fine. When you press the brake pedal, if it feels soft and mushy. That's a symptom of too much moisture in the brake fluid.

    Virar Automotive but how would you flush and refill them, namely 2017 hyundai santa fe sport, I'm at 96,000 miles and never been checked since I've had it for a year now, everywhere I call (Pep boys, Firestone auto, and few others big names) and they all say they can't look or check it so where would you recommend to go and get it checked and serviced if you can think of a branch of auto repair/services that can and will do this I'd very much appreciate it, cause I've call dozens of places and they all say the same they can't check transmission without a dipstick

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  2 года назад

      I understand you are specifically asking about the transmission fluid. The transmission fluid is technically rated to last for the duration of the vehicle, 'lifetime' fluid. Hence there is no dipstick the quality/level of the transmission fluid. No auto repair can, because there is no view port or dipstick to check the quality/quantity of the fluid. However there is a drain and fill plug on the transmission. The auto repair facility can use these ports to drain and refill the transmission with new fluid. So practically any auto repair facility can drain and refill the transmission fluid, but other than that there is no way for them to just check the transmission fluid level/quality. Hopefully this helps.

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  2 года назад

      You can do it at home. you'll need a jack and a few basic hand tools. I believe there are some videos on RUclips showing you how to do it

    Ho do you check the transmission fluid level?

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Год назад

      No easy way to do it. The only way to really know if the transmission fluid level is full or not, is to have to jack up the vehicle, open the transmission fluid fill port and put fluid in it till it starts falling out of the transmission. Again it's not accessible and doesn't really give you a reading of how full your transmission fluid level is besides telling you if it's full or not

      There is no power steering fluid for the 2019 Santa Fe. It is an electric power steering system. No power steering fluid, no power steering pump.

    Mine is loosing oil between a few hundred miles. I'm thinking maybe half qt in a week or/& 250 miles. On a 2017 Santa Fe Sport. Then about 2-3qt at oil change time. Hyundai dealer maintained always

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  2 года назад +1

      I would suggest you take your car to the dealer to have it checked out for the Engine recall issue. To see if it qualifies under it. Excessive oil consumption is one of the symptoms of the Theta II Engine recall. You can look it up on google as well.

    If this guy is going to suggest a TRANSMISSION "FLUSH". Then ask him is he going to Pay for the Greater possibility of that TRANSMISSION slipping or completely stopping like so many have from "FLUSHING" IT???

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Год назад

      If you read the Owner's manual, the manufacturer themselves suggest that if you drive the car under 'heavy duty' driving conditions, then you are supposed to replace by draining and replacing the transmission fluid at periodic intervals. My apologies If I caused any confusion along the lines by calling it 'flush' instead of 'drain and refill'.
