@lillithblackwater309 Hii! I am so happy to see that you enjoyed the video and got Dragon's Blood! It sounds and is quite a magical color! I have been testing these around a lot further than what you saw in the video and I will be adding a video soon about my findings, but will give you a heads up! These are actually a fusion between watercolor and gouache! They will not behave much like traditional watercolors, but adding enough water you can avoid any streakyness, and you can actually paint straight, thick paint and looks quite amazing. This are definitely quite different in all respects, so I hope you play around and see how great these colors are! Thanks for watching and your support! ♥

Not a Schminke fan, overpriced for the novelty. Thanks for showing them though interesting to see.

❤ They are quite expensive and to be honest, these are not for everyone. I completely agree with you. I am glad you got to see them swatched and appreciate that you shared your thoughts with us!! Thank you! ❤

    I would NEVER buy them!
But I appreciate you trying so hard to make them work.
They may be good for rocks but, no, not even with water do they look good.
    I like the blacks only.
    THANKYOU ‼️

Hi! You are right about how hard it is to work with them! I find the colors beautiful although they are difficult to work with as you could tell from my try to working with them. The most close to traditional watercolors are the blacks for sure and those are quite beautiful. I have been trying to work with them and no better results. In fact, I think most of the texture I managed is more a result of water moving through them. Definitely only for a few people! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate it! ❤

The color are really beautiful! So happy you liked them. These are a fusion between Watercolor and Gouche, which make them work differently. I have been testing and learning more about them. These are also historical hues, so I am quite excited to have them. I am still learning about these, but the colors are amazing. I loved Dagon's Blood. Thanks for your comment and thoughts! ♥

Very nice. I've seen these advertised for a while now, but this is the first time I've seen them swatched. I'm slowing down a lot on buying new paints, at last! I replenish my frequently used paints, and gradually use up the others that I probably won't replace.
This set here will make someone happy for sure, but I find myself steering away from "new paints". I've already got a serious stash of paints, many of which I hardly use. Maybe I'm just condensing my choices to a smaller range of colours as I get better at mixing the hues and tones that I'm looking for when I paint.

Hi Mark! I need to follow your lead in slowing down, really. Sometimes, my curiosity gets the best of me! ha ha! I think my plans for myself, starting July is reorganizing myself, and start working more on my watercolor art, which I haven't been working on for the past three months, and to be quite honest, I need the practice to learn and grow more into this medium. I also need to settle down and finally create one personal palette at the very least! ♥ Good to see you around, my friend. ♥♥

Hi Sundayberries, I’m not too sure about these. Nice colours but I think I’ll stick with my normal watercolours but thanks for showing them. Dee

They surely aren't for everyone. I myself do think they are for me, but I can see the beauty they do have. We'll see how my opinion evolves as I use them. Thanks for watching! ♥

Hi!! I have not tried this, but it sounds like something to experiment with! I have been experimenting with these colors, quite a lot and planing to share my findings soon! But, I haven't tried ox gall. ♥♥

The lightfastnes doesn't mean all too much. Sorry 🙇‍♂🙇‍♂🙇‍♂
Using aquarelle paper, choosing a high quality brand colour, protecting the painting with a UV glaze and keeping the painting in doors will have your 1 star yellows outlast more than 1 human lifetime, often even outlasting multiple human lifetimes.
The lightfastnes doesn't even say all too much about direct sunlight exposure either.
It all depends on the UV intensity, the angle and obviously the duration amongst other things.
Now I wouldn't paint my garden fence with 1 star lightfast yellow aquarell colours. And I wouldn't hang my paintings on the outside of my house walls.
1 star yellow no name cheap paint may last way longer in a garden in northern Norway than in the heart of the western Sahara.
And on a final tangent thought, what kind of an ego must I have to assume my dable should last an eternity? 🙈

Hi! I get you with the lightfast rating, particularly in the comparison between Norway and Sahara. I believe the lightfast rating is actually under certain conditions that does not include hanging the painting or placing it in direct sunlight. Based on this assumption, then we can say that with a 1 star lightfastness, you should either not use it, or have in a dark drawer. These are natural watercolors, and they will therefore have doubtfull lightfastness simply because materials are natural. Watercolors are a delicate medium, and in terms of lightfastness, well, that even can be placed in question if the painter uses tons of water, or diluting too much, that will break any bonding agent that keeps pigment together and that will undoubtedly mean that the painting will fade a lot faster than anything else and whatever lightfast rating it had will not matter much. It will fade away. Thanks for your point of view!! ♥
